"African American studies major". The fact that a class like that is even offered in American universities, is part of the problem.
Yeah idk what on earth you would ever use that degree for 😂😂 that’s like me majoring in Caucasian studies
I mean I could see it being a course for your history degree. But the whole degree??
Of course they'll offer it cause they know idiots will try to major in things like this and gender studies. It's all just different terminology for Liberal Arts, which is a worthless major

African American... Such a bullshit term for the average black American. Imagine I demanded to be called European American. No. That's stupid and divisive. It's putting a label on something that doesn't need it & here's nome news for you.. Jamaicans & Africans CAN'T STAND black American culture. They don't claim you.. & You have an entire degree for it? Holy shit. One of the most useless degrees for an American to pursue. She's going to have a miserable financial situation, unless she jumps on some kind of democratic platform & gets paid to be a "victim" but even that doesn't last very long.
“ I mean, you know, like, ok, but, well.”
She is going to a university and can not even form a complete sentence.
Nervousness? Idk
She’s clearly nervous and wants to get her point across. Feel like these comments have been a little harsh. She agrees with everything Charlie says about critical race theory, but she’s having trouble explaining her point of view. She clearly has experienced racism at Alabama, but she needs to stop playing the victim card. She’s on the right track to discovering the truth and I believe she seemed well spoken enough to learn from this conversation and that’s all you can hope for. Pretty easy to type behind a keyboard when someone loses their train of thought on a microphone in front of thousands of people. News flash not all people are great speakers even graduating college.

Some do feel "hunted." When my neighbors moved in, they installed a stockade fence and got a pit bull. I have always been friendly and supportive of them, so has everyone else. Nobody bothers them in any way. It's utterly bizarre. They're outside in the yard and on the street all the time. I stay indoors more. Conversely, their kids have thrown heavy objects and dented my front door. The kids painted grafitti on my sidewalk and directed their dog to sh1t on my lawn - very pleasant to step in when mowing. The dog tried to lunge at me through the fence while I was pulling weeds with such force I feared the wood fence would collapse. I saw the kids laughing through the crack in the fence. Thankfully, they got rid of the dog. I ignore it, knowing how kids can be. They make innuendos that I do things to them. They hired men to update their fence who took debris away in their trash cans. I saw them do it. They insinuated I stole their trash cans. I let them park in extra spaces in front of my house. They installed a driveway up to propery line and use my yard to walk on when getting in cars. It's constant little things that they do to me that I ignore, but have never set foot on their property. There's several more incidents that I'm leaving out. I'm indoors minding my own business except for lawn maintenance. They aren't as respectful of me as much as I am of them, but I never say anything about it. I understand how kids are. I do think they are badmouthing white people, which makes their kids target me.
In sum, many of them seem to be taught to think they are victims and think everyone is out to get them, which, in turn, makes them act aggressively toward white people. Nobody bothers them at all. This girl they interviewed has been socialized to think she is under attack by whites and is making problems for herself.
They don't feel "hunted" they built the fence and act like that because they simply don't like you or any white person. They're racist in every Sense of the word. They teach their kids to be the same way. Hopefully you get some better neighbors you seem to be a great neighbor 😁

I’m nearly 61, grew up watching shows where such behavior was masterfully made fun of, The Jeffersons, All in the Family, Sanford and Son… even SNL. An incredibly racist skit with Richard Pryor being interviewed by Chevy Chase… we made fun of such and were able to laugh at it. Eddie Murphy, I’ve seen him ‘acting’ white… Hysterical!
Growing up when I did makes what I am witnessing today so very, very difficult!
I believe we are purposely being divided and it’s heartbreaking to watch…
My days are numbered, I have no family, no one I’ll be leaving behind… but I have a country I love, her people I love, it bothers me to think, to think about just how bad this can get.
We are allowing ourselves to be divided, manipulated, and not just by race but by class, income, status… on and on.
I’m what can be classified as ‘poor’ but I don’t’l ‘feel’ poor… I’m certainly no victim. I don’t envy the wealthy nor pity the poor, if someone has sought out in life to work hard and create wealth, succeeded, good for them! It hasn’t been my pursuit, I could easily play the victim card if I desired… but it would be ‘playing’ as I’m no victim. Those childhood years, from the age of three on, yes… sadly’l ‘he’ was a victim but I became responsible for my future once I became an adult, and instead of dealing with issues created during those childhood years, I opted not to…
And paid the price.
I am responsible for my life, I am responsible for its outcome, I’ve accepted this, always have…
Yes, there is regret, I do feel that occasional sadness over wasting much of my life in wrongful pursuits…
But it’s okay, I’m okay.
I’m doing well… 🤔♥️🦋
One cannot dwell on regrets. Acknowledge them, shed those tears, and let it go! 😁
I don’t envy the wealthy nor pity the poor…
If chasing money makes one happy, good!👍
If living a more minimalistic life brings joy, good!👍
“You do you!”
This morning I noticed my grapes were ready so I picked a few bunches and hand fed my chickens…
I’m not poor, I’m rich! ♥️
THAT brought happiness, my dogs attention and love, this brings joy… a simple chat with a neighbor, a stranger, someone new… this brings joy, fills this heart to overflowing!
Black, white, red, yellow… it means NOTHING! Just share with me how you are, tell me your joys, your sorrows, your struggles… and fill my cup by doing so. ‘How can I help you?’
I’ve never met a stranger…♥️

@ The Perserverance - Your comment near to the end (13 mins on...) is absolutely spot on. I'm a white woman, and a retired nurse. As a nurse I came into contact with every colour of skin on earth, and EVERY time...EVERY TIME, it was the first thing I saw when looking at that person for the first time. Alongside of course, whether I was looking at a male or female. Neither of those two things mattered a jot to me, except perhaps the gender one! That indeed would alter how I proceeded with certain 'cares'!
What mattered to me in my role as a nurse were the needs and desires for care the person needed and wanted. That was all.
In street life, away from the bedside, it remained the same. Of course, the first thing I saw/see when I meet someone new, is their gender, their appearance - and the colour of their skin. None of these things matter - I wait until we interact and speak...then I decide - do I like this person, and just as importantly - do they like me?
We will have a good conversation or we will not, and sometimes we will become friends, sometimes we will not.
I've needed my own medical help in hospital more than a few times, and heck, I don't give a fig who gives me that help. I just want them to be qualified to help me get me well again.
It's that simple.

Unsafe how? I just checked the stats of Alabama campus crime/incidents and there are exactly ZERO incidents of a blk person being attacked--physically OR verbally. Literally NONE. However, there were hundreds of cases with white people that got attacked...so....yeah
Back in 1995 my family relocated from California to Virginia. We drove across the country and stopped when we were tired. When we got to Mobile Alabama we were not tired yet so we decided to drive a few more hours before we would stop to rest. When we did stop we went to 3 hotels with parking lots that for the most part were empty but we were turned away being told they were "full". After the 3rd hotel a gentleman followed me out after hearing me ask the clerk why all the hotels were full but there were no cars in the parking lot. The clerk never answered me but the gentleman who followed me outside said, " it is not that we are full it is because you are the wrong color". We ended up sleeping in that parking lot in our vehicle for about 2 hours until we could resume driving. So to say white people can come to Alabama and not be discriminated against is a lie.
I went to the U. of Alabama in the late 70's and I had many wonderful Black friends who were very happy and thriving. Nobody was racist to them and nobody hunted them.

Love how he shut her down with that firm NO!
Back in 2020, I worked as a sub para at a local high school. I was having a private conversation before class started outside of the classroom with a white co-worker who didn’t want to get the Covid shot. I have a background in pharmacy. When there is an outbreak of a virus, each variant is named by the location of its origin. In the conversation, I remarked to my coworker that I could understand why she didn’t want the shot because the virus had mutated a couple of times, and the jab was based on the "Woohan strain." Someone was evesdropping on the conversation and reported it to the teacher who was white. When class started and I walked in, a few minutes later, the teacher asked to talk to me in her office in front of my coworkers. It was obvious she was upset and made a bit of a show. I followed her to the office and she asked me to close the door. That's an obvious signal of a difficult conversation and that she is in a position above me to have me close the door instead of closing it herself. She asked me if I had said, "China virus," in an earlier conversation. I was so shocked and was genuinely confused about where she got that idea. I told her I had not. She proceeded to school me on being careful about language when talking about Asians in the sensitive time we were in under the Covid lockdowns. It was then that I realized someone had thought they tattled on me for being a racist but got it all wrong in the worst imaginable way possible. I explained to her what my private conversation was about. Then I explained to her that I was well aware of the respect that should be afforded Asians since I identified as Asian having been raised by a single parent who was from Japan and who spoke English as a second language. My white dad left my family when I was about 7 years old, and I am mixed-race Asian and European. I just happen to look a lot like my dad. Not only was this insulting to be schooled on how to properly speak about Asians when I'm Asian and she is white, but she had judged me by my outward appearance and she is married to someone of East Indian decent. Yes. Her husband is Asian! After I left the office, a handful of white coworkers cornered me separately, asking if I had been falsely accused of being racist. It turned out, they had. One lady was in tears explaining that she takes care of her mixed-race black and hispanic grand babies, and she loves them and was so mortified and insulted. After being asked by a few people, it dawned on me that there was a racial witch hunt afoot, so, begrudgingly, I went to the head of the department, who is a black woman. First, when I told my story, she asked what time it was when the incident happened. I knew what she was trying to do. It would be inappropriate to be having a personal conversation during work time. This trap really got me angry. I told her it was outside of the classroom in the foyer BEFORE class. I then asked her if it was okay to falsely accuse someone of being a racist during class. Realizing I saw how this conversation was getting political, she encircled her face with her index finger and tried to say that she understood. I told her she did not. I asked her when she was last accused of being a white supremacist redneck who mimicks Trump's then hated term "China virus," and then was lectured about how to properly speak about people of your own race by a white woman. She ended up saying she was going to speak with HR. Since the school district had already lost a multi-million dollar lawsuit stemming from a child molestation case, it was more likely that she spoke to a lawyer and their compliance office. Later, she told me that what happened to me was wrong and that they were taking care of the situation and that the teacher was being "reeducated" on the matter. By then, I didn’t believe a word of it. I had lost all trust and even with the best efforts of that offending teacher to be civil, I never felt welcome again. I also realized that any hope of being hired permanently after investing 3 years in that school and having even caught Covid from a student, which turned into a 4-month battle with Long Covid that was so severe, my doctor thought I had suffered a severe stroke and sent me to a neurologist, I was likely blacklisted. Only a few months prior to developing Long Covid, I broke my personal best pushup record by doing 142. In my mid-50s, that was pretty good, so I had sacrificed a lot. The teacher ended up getting fired, as did a host of others because the lawsuit amount had risen so high. Then, I was badly assaulted by a high school boy in an unprovoked attack. He can't help it at his level of disability. There are no appropriate places to educate more dangerous kids who are very low-functioning on a neurodivergency scale. I had had enough and resigned. A couple of coworkers called to say they knew I wasn't coming back, that they'd miss me, but didn’t blame me and could 100% understand my decision. I'm now nearly 60 and am being educated in a completely different field at this later stage in my life. Four years of college, and this will be my 4th certification. In enough years of education to have a PhD, what have I actually learned? This country DOES have a race problem. The establishment wants everyone to hate white people, or even anyone who passes for white. I am well aware that in a world where subjugating people has been a practice of nearly every race, white Europeans were the first in recorded history to say that it is morally wrong and to make it a crime. But in America, those who are actually in power have figured out a way to use white guilt and CRT to continue the cycle of division so that they keep us fighting each other instead of starting a revolution together. I guess they forget about those of us who "pass" and who are unintentional spies in the plantation house.🤣

I am a white male grew up with no father at home, my mom worked three different jobs just to keep us afloat I hardly ever saw her and so from eight years old had to take myself to school then come home to an empty house and fend for myself. Also had to work from 13 years old on building sites moving brick snd block all day for 30 dollars a week. When i did see my father he was always drunk and his new wife hated me she had this thing she would do were she would make you clear your plate of every scrap of food but she would pile it right up to be spiteful. I would sometimes be physically sick, my stomach As never truly recovered. As for dad he later died in a house fire and fell asleep drunk with a smoke in his hand, guess you reap what you sow. I was bullied and beaten at school by both teachers and other students. Over the years seven of my close friends who went to the same school and lived in the same town have committed suicide. Tell me i have more privilege than this black girl going to university because my skin just happens to be white.

@lambornpeter3922 If a person utters a prevarication, it would be a lie. That's what it means to prevaricate. Lie. Why do you ask? And, what does it have to do with my comment?
Basically what I’m truly gathering from this as an Alabama Alumni is that she doesn’t have friends and hasn’t had that true Alabama college experience and she’s built that around the idea that she doesn’t have that experience because she is black.
There’s plenty of black fraternities and sororities on that campus. So while I can agree that the houses aren’t bigger and the money between white and black fraternities/sororities is a little disproportionate (not white fraternities fault) the opportunity to join these types of organizations on campus and be apart of something where you feel involved with those who are like minded as a black person are very much there and present.
I truly think she’s struggling with social anxiety and she doesn’t have a group of friends to try and get rid of it with. She’s very nervous, out of shape, breathing really hard cause she probably feels weird or threatened in big crowds. That can be tough to overcome for anyone but because of how she was raised she has been taught to blame most of those issues on being black/racism from other demographics. That’s so sad cause it doesn’t teach her to have her own experiences and make her own conclusions. It doesn’t allow her to grow. It just keeps her in this same stuck and frightened mindset and this is how left wing extremist are created. They struggle their whole lives to fit in until they find this sanctuary of peace through a common enemy being racist white people/communities/organizations and until those things go away and are abolished she’ll never truly feel confident, at home, or like she has her own identity as a person.
I truly wish her well and I pray she comes to realize that many are willing to be her friend and give her a fun and inclusive college experience but she has to stop viewing things from this perspective. She has to understand she’s an individual adult that can think for herself and need to go and interact with people outside of her comfort zone and remove the stereotypes she’s been taught to have about people.
Edit:
Also, although it’s uncommon, black people are accepted in some of those predominantly white fraternities. I was in one that celebrated its hundredth year on campus my senior year and the year prior we accepted our first black member ever. Yes I realize it should never have to have taken that long and yes there were more than a few people that spoke out against it within the organization but there was also a majority within that told those who were vocally outspoken to shut the f up and grow up.
Point is not every white person is racist and not every black person is a victim. You’ve got to grow out of self identification via group think/ideologies. You’re your own individual person that can think, converse, interact, and make your own decisions about those you come in contact with and judge them on the basis of their individual character not the color of their skin.
She is the type of people that Martin Luther King Jr fought against
I don't agree with her, but she's a good person. She's been psychologically traumatized by the left and race grifters and probably her own family to believe a certain narrative. The right needs to stop the "heartless" sounding rhetoric and meet people where they are. Instead of him telling her she lives in the most unracist country, he should say, if someone is discriminating against you that is wrong. I will personally fight and use the power I have to make sure you aren't being bullied here.
