This is happening on my Galaxy Tab A. I can get into the download mode but the problem is it won't charge. As soon as I removed it from the charger to get it to the PC, it just dies. I have left the tablet on charge for a few hours and it just reboots with the "could not do normal boot, invalid kernel length error"
Same issue with my Tab A6 (Sm-t585) screen just gets wierd trying to get into recoverymode, but will stay in download mode just fine. Stock rom, no root.

This morning My Samsung Galaxy J5 prime Started hanging randmoly , I put it on charging and left. After some time when i came back it was switched of and when i started it showed Could Not do normal Boot , Invalid Kernal Length. i have never tried to root my phone or flash anything . Yes. If you can boot it into download mode. Then it's possible to flash firmware with HOME_CSC which will not wipe your data.

Do you have a laptop or PC? You can try Samsung 300K tool which will force reboot your device into download mode.

Thats it, fixes the problem. The recovery partition gets corrupted which sends you this error.
