Mr. Garfield is one of those designer who is able to design games that are completely different from one another. Really imaginative. This game looks like my kind of thing. Kind of light but I think it would just be fun to play with my friends. I love vampire games, probably because I played so much Vampire: The Masquerade RPG. I won't eat the spicy humans, though! :D
That's true. Another one I can think of is Wolfgang Warsh and maybe Reiner Knizia? Haha there you go, Vampire, a light, push your luck deck building> Aaww Carl, cmon, spicy human would be nice to eat, hehehe
I just got this as a gift over Christmas among other games! Haven’t played it yet though. Looking forward to getting it to the table. (Btw Happy New Year!🎊)
Hi Steve! O yea thanks for the reminder. Robo Rally we've played many years ago, need to play it again. Hope you get to play The Hunger Ono day. Thank you for dropping by friend!
I've been looking for this game for a while now. Been keeping a eye on it since it went up for preorder months ago. Looks like it could be a good replacement for clank.
Oh yes definitely feels like Clank. Funnily enough we played Clank very recently. I can see the resemblance. A little bit less in complexity this one. Hope you'll get the preorder soon. Thanks for visiting us🙏
@@MeepleUniversity I gave all my cards to a friend back in 2001 when I moved from Boston to Seattle (east coast to west coast of the US). I started working as a video game reviewer and never got back into MtG after that. And you're right, it takes a lot of money if you want to play competitively.
@@n20games52 Ah right, that's how I got my cards lol, someone that moved overseas. Only played for fun here and there back then. Not sure where the cards are now, probably got rid of them too. Yeah will need to focus for MtG if want to do it
Hi Miles! Hmm, it has some similarities and feel to each other for sure, you deck build then get to a point then race back. The Hunger as personal/secret objective, at least not with Clank for the base game. That push your luck element is there. The Hunger doesnt have a mechanic that adds damage to your character, but I guess it does it in different way. Both are very good, I'd say try Clank too, but that's just me hehe. Cheers! Stella.
I've played Clank in space once, and didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. I do prefer the way it ends with a player triggering it rather than just 15 turns; but even with that I think the Hunger is a better game, and the 15 turn limit really pushes you to make hard decisions!

Oh that's so awesome Ajan, you have good gifter hehe. You'll like this one (hopefully). Light deck building fun. Happy new year!!!!
Nice overview. My favorite Richard Garfield game up to this point is Robo Rally but I'm really looking forward to buying The Hunger.

My fave Garfiled game is almost certainly Magic: The Gathering. Played for many years and even in tournaments for a while.
Wow nice! Do you still play with it? I only played the leftover cards, so never competitive. I won't have the time or money lol

I really enjoy this game, having not played Clank, should I? Or is it not much different?

@@nzcamel3 Thanks for sharing. That's true, 1nd 15 turns at least you know exactly when it will end hehe.
