    Nice one, I had the same issue. I had no idea how bad my brakes were before! Thanks for the guide!

    Nice to see the Daily XJ6 closer to doing what it is meant to do... being enjoyed and displayed on the road although these fixes and improvements do make good content ! And it's great that decent salvaged spare parts are able to be put to work again.

    Great work. Nice to see the ol Gal back on the road again. Running up against unknow previous owner mods is frustrating more often that satisfying.

    Very cool! Glad to see you found the problem with the bad brake booster(servo). Now you can get it worked back into daily driver status, thanks!

    Good day Adam and if i may chip in.On my right hand drive 1975 xj6 executive to loosen and remove that brake pedal mount there is a nut underneath the dash that also needs to be removed before you can removed it completely. I onced removed that shaft the way you did and i promised myself that that was the first and last time.Am glad that you are happy with your brakes and that it is sorted.

    This is so cool! I'm making some changes to my XJ8 to put it on point, what a nice feeling.

    Yay, it works! There is no snow? I'm a bit jaleous of that. My XJ40 looks like an igloo at the moment. Also, your clock doesn't work in the shop :)

      This is my first servo failure on an XJ actually. This car had a badly leaking master cylinder when I first got it. My guess is that brake fluid had started to deteriorate the servo

    Hi Adam. Great vid.
    Following your comment about ad payment, I resolved to put up with the ad videos all the way through just so you'd get paid. For the most part, it's not such a hardship.
    However, I am simply unable to put up with those wide boys in their second chateau in the Dordogne telling me how to get rich quick if I just follow their miracle formula.
    They just grind my gears and I have to skip them, sorry. 🙂

      Haha I hate them too! No such thing as get rich quick. Feel free to skip as many ads as you want. Just watching and liking the video helps spread the word also

    I brake for old Jags. 😁 So what was the part you greased on the master cyl?

    • @LivingWithAClassic
      @LivingWithAClassic  2 года назад +2

      Haha
      The flat surface on the rear where the rod from the brake servo presses on

    I'm about ready to do this on my '75 Jag. To confirm, you only had to loosen the pedal assembly? I don't want to have to take my pedal box out either.

    • @LivingWithAClassic
      @LivingWithAClassic  Год назад +1

      Yes I could do it in place. Just losen it a bit to get more wiggle room.

    Nice video. Good to see other people struggle as well. I know this is possibly not the right forum but spark plugs for a 1966 s type. Manual says champion un12y. Is u12yc a suitable alternative? Thanks

    How did you add shoulder seatbelts? Mine are just lap belts

      Some markets came with it originally, this one did. They should all have the mounting points from the factory.
