If I ever die, and if there's ever any kind of service, I want Tierney's version of "Without a Song" to be played.

I was looking for a zero schmaltz rendering of Two for the Road, Mancini; looking and looking finally Tierney Sutton. Then I remembered she managed the same feat with You Must Believe in Spring. I'm now her fan.

What a set! Their earlier version of "Without a Song" at Monterey Jazz Festival in 2012 may have been the best version of this timeless standard at that time. This version, 4 years later, is even more evolved; definitive. Nice bookends with the first and last song of this set both composed by Vince Youmans.

Wow surprised this video has such low views this is amazing! Her version of my funny valentine is one of the best.

I'll have to listen to more, but I find the "humming and howling" over the piano and the rest of the band kind of annoying.

CarrotCompany I found the vocal line on the instrumental to be complementary and tasteful, since this is a jazz combo. I just saw them recently and Clint Eastwood is also a fan who happened to be in the audience that night.
