    I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Xaden’s eyes are black and gold, the same color as Violets dragons. I’m excited to see if the dragons have their own prophecies that we aren’t privy to yet, since Tairn constantly calls Violet “Silver One” and called Andarna “Golden One” a couple of times

  • @fiestydreams

    I think Tairn saying he didnt think hed make it this far, is because Naolin died in such a way that betrayed Tairn. I firmly believe Brennan was never dead or at the verge of death, but instead that Naolin got power hungry and abused his bond with Tairn and betrayed Tairn, severing the bond and turning Naolin into a Venin. I think Naolin is the Venin Sage... I think that betrayal is the reason Tairn nearly died and was so careful in choosing a new rider...

      She did, but the audiobook is not canon. For example, except from the very first mention of the name, the audiobook always mispronounces Teine's name, and these 2 fangirls repeat the mistake. The author herself says that the second E in Teine's name is silent, there can be no discussion about that whatever.

    I think Lilith said ‘Don’t say it. Not until she (Violet) does’ is because she doesn’t want people to think Violet faked getting Tairn in some way. Like from the outside it could seem cold af which goes with her character but if we go to her secretly believing in Violet from the beginning then it makes sense. She’s basically giving Violet the stage to prove she is badass enough to be chosen by Tairn. I can’t help but believe Lilith is a ‘she acts like this but is actually this’ type of character. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes out as being part of the Rebels all along. Remember not once does she say to Violet not to get close to the rebels. Only Mira and Dain says that. Her mother goes ‘I can only treat you as another cadet and rider while you are schooled here. I can’t show favouritism or emotion to you’. And her mum would have been told the closeness between Xaden, Liam and Violet. All the students knew about Xaden and Violet. It’s not hard to believe that Lilith wouldn’t of heard especially with Dain’s disdain of the closeness. But still Lilith decides to do nothing even though Xaden is a potential threat to Violet because of her and his dad. It’s like she knew Xaden was not a threat. And she also doesn’t talk about Brennan after his ‘death’ like she completely acts like he didn’t even die. Is it because she knows he didn’t die?

      I want her to have her secret "redemption" arc. Like I want her to be more than the cold mother. I think there is so much more to her than that. I can go on and on about how her mom is working behind the scenes for the rebels to a certain degree. I don't think she is with the rebels but she LOVES her kids/family enough to help them in small ways. It's been said she wasn't so cold until both Brennan and their dad died. So you know she used to feel/show it before. @@fantasyfangirls

      I 100% agree this this. She has believed in Violet from the beginning I think Lilith put Violet with the riders because it was the best way to help her survive the truth she learns at the end of the book.

    Just a quick note, Codagh (Medren's dragon) is a swordtail, not a morningstar tail, which means that Violet just bonded a dragon that's more powerful than his, wich might explain the evil look he's giving her... And about Lilith, I like the idea that her 'don't say it ' comment, is actually to remind the people around her that it's an honor for the rider to be the first to say their dragon's name, so she's protecting Violet's honor and privilege.

    I absolutely REFUSE to believe Xaden is intinsic. It would put him on the same level as Dain with not respecting mind boundaries and i can't believe we would've been made to hate Dain because of his intrusions but Xaden's would be okay ?? Double standard MUCH !!
    The reading thing with Tairn, i'm sure is more because Sgaeyl is mated with him so Xaden already have that link with Tairn and he simply tried to read his mind like he would've with Sgaeyl.
    About the head prickling, you mentionned in a past episode that it intensified once Violet bonded Tairn, the fated mate theory makes more sense and the fact that they were mentally linked after Treshing made the prickling more intense.
    The part with the whole hope thinking thing is unrelated, imo.
    Your podcast is AMAZING by the way, it helps me stay somewhat sane (if you can really call obsessively rabbit holing on fourth wing sane) and not cry in bed until november 7th

      Nicole thinks that if Xaden is an inntinnsic there will be some "twist" or limit with it where it makes it less of a betrayal like Dain. How would that happen, no idea - but Rebecca has mentioned how Xaden does have a lot of secrets so we're assuming our morally grey man is gonna surprise us!
      And THANK YOU! That means so so much to us! We cannot wait to release episode 4 on Monday! (It's our favorite we've recorded so far!)

    • @lf1257
      @lf1257 Год назад +2

      I think he’s an inntinnsic because he definitely replies to things she didn’t say out loud. But the only times that come to mind seem to be higher emotion moments, like after the unbondeds attacked her or at the lake when she called him a traitor. So he may only hear them because he’s highly stressed and forgetting to shield. It’s the only way I can justify it not being invasive like Dain

    • @Nynaera
      @Nynaera Год назад +3

      @@lf1257 They're bonded through their dragon. Highly emotional moment applies to Violet too. Maybe she's the one forgetting to not project her thoughts through their mental bond and he's especially attentive to her. He's not intinsic.There's a TON of other explanations for every argument people are bringing in this theory. The only weird thing is that the scalp prickling is odd sometimes and even then : it might probably still be because of the bond or a fated mate situation, or just Violet being exeptionaly attracted by him.
      One of the big argument is when she's been attacked in her room and he ask her if she's okay, she says i'm fine and he tells her to not lie to him. People seems to forget that she's breathing fast and shallow, is clearly bleeding has mark around her neck and honestly when you know someone you know when they bullshit you with a basic default answer such as "im fine" when they're clearly not. He's CLEARLY super attentive to her, at every moment (his shadows picked up her quill when he wasn't even looking at her). He knows she has a tendency to hide her weaknesses to others and he got mad that she wanted to hide how she was feeling at that moment from him, firstly because she was obviously not okay and secondly he's the only person in there that doesn't see her as weak and actually wants to help her.
      Him being intinsic just doesn't make any sense to the whole plot and adds NOTHING to the character. Do i think the intinsic thing will play somewhat of an important role in the book ? We learned that RY is heavy on foreshadowing stuff you understand only once you read the whole thing and I firmly believe that after reading Iron Flame we'll understand even more foreshadowing in Fourth Wing, so yes, we're not done hearing about an intinsic signet. But not with Xaden.

    Tarin literally tells Violet why he chose her as a rider, it was who she was as a person and her character that made him choose her to bond. And it was kind of the same for Andarna. 1:01:11 From my reading it, I got that only baby dragons have a unique power (such as time freezing), and when they grow almost everyone loses it (from what Tairn said). So fully grown dragons don't choose not to channel a second "special" secret magic to their riders. They just don't have it.

    In a previous episode there was a question about do we think the professors know about the venin. I figured they all knew because the read the reports. If not all of them do, does that mean the scribes are participating in altering the recording of history? If so, one of the ones altering and hiding HAS to be the head scribe (I’m blanking on his name) that helps teach battle brief that was gonna be Violet’s teacher, and if he is altering records, it’s going to be a huge point of conflict within violet having someone she looks up to as a mentor and role model, someone who shaped her core values, is a hypocrite and working against everything she was taught is right

    Am I the only one who believe that all the dragons need to be on the same side so they can defeat the wyvern type of dragons that are out there? I mean a wyvern is the same type of dragon that they have in Game of Thrones and they need to bond together to defeat them since they’re with the Venin. This theory reminds me so much of how the White Walkers and The Night King in my mind are the venin and the wyvern and all the dragons with their riders and the griffins as well. They have to all bond together and defeat the threat.

In this moment him helping is a possibility and she needs to refocus or she'll die. I really dont want xaden to be an intinnsic simply because mond reading has already been used as a weapon by Dain who i hate and I want xaden to rise high above Dain and be the better character we all want.
