SKIN FADE after FUE Hair Transplant in Turkey | How the DONOR AREA looks after 3500 grafts

  • 16 month update after my hair transplant in Istanbul, Turkey, at Elithair. The clinic I went to have now created a discount code for me to share if anyone is interested: lp.elithair.co...
    I had 2300 grafts at the front; 1200 grafts on my crown.
    In this video, I show off a skin fade which I have deliberately had cut to show off the donor area, as requested by a few people.
    In terms of medication, I take Finasteride daily and I have had no side effects. I also take Vitamin D and Biotin tablets. I was using Regain (minoxidil) on my crown but I stopped doing that at 12 months, slowly easing it out.

    Completely forgot to mention SMP in this video! The barber actually said that SMP would be noticeable when the hair is this short. But it’s definitely an option for a number one 👌🏻

    it honeslty looks good mate! Only someone who had a transplant themselves MIGHT look at the donor and think ''he's had a transplant'. I had mine done a while ago (still way behind you) and shaved my donor area fiarly soon after having 2500 grafts taken from there, and literally showed all my friedns (I was like 'I cut my own hair. No hairdressers open due to covid') and not one of them mentioned scararing or a hair transplant or anything. Just that my fade wasn't as good as a real barbers lol

    If you like the sides short and blended with your beard, get a number 1 fade on the side and back - this way the donor area won't be visible and you can still enjoy the short hair! [that's what I do and the donor area is not visible at all, I had 2500 grafts]. Otherwise you could try 1.5 or 2 on the sides and back [depends on your choice tbh]

    I had mine done in August and I did wonder about this. I was considering micro-pigmentation if it was too obvious, but having had a few skin fades now, I don't think it's too bad. Yours is not massively noticeable either mate. I think it's one of those things that when you know to look for it, you see it. But day-to-day, most people wouldn't clock it.

    I just got a transplant in Turkey. Got 5100 grafts to cover basically the entire bonnet. I chose the clinic based on a questionnaire I developed after much reading. The plan was actually 4.100 grafts. The doctor himself did the harvesting and the incisions and then the team planted the grafts. I am freaking out about the number of grafts he collected, I think it is too many, but he says he always devises the plan not to overharvest and collects as many as possible. I hate fades but I have used very short hair at sides and back. I have to say the in the video, your scars seem pretty acceptable to me based on different cases I have seen. Thanks for sharing.

    • @HairlineConfessions
      @HairlineConfessions  Год назад

      Which clinic in Turkey did you go to pal? How many days of surgery was that? If your whole head needed doing then 5100 grafts doesn’t sound too much. Got to accept that the back of your head won’t look as good as it did before. But it’s worth the trade.

    This haircut in general suits you. It looks really clean. Maybe try the same skin fade only changing the back to a taper fade. I think that would look dope if your concerned about the fue scars. Some people get smp into the donor scars. Would you ever consider something like that?

    It looks good . Don’t worry bro . As someone else said , the average Joe will not notice it . I actually had a fut hairtransplant done in the past many years ago ( back then fue was just developing ) . 2 months ago I had a fur hairtransplant and also decided to let my huge fut scar on the back of my head filled up with grafts . All around had to be shaven off completely , and after two weeks I had to go to woro with a fut scar filled up with grafts by fue . Colleages and customers thought I had some brain surgery or check done 😂. No one thought about hair transplant , untill I told them . Now two months later my hair is covering the scar up , and I’m looking forward to have new hairs coming out upcoming months , so I can wear my hair shorter again in the back . But even before with my fut scar , I still was happy , cause o rather have a full head of hair and longer hair in the back to cover up a scar , then short hair in the back and a bald head in the front . But not later I guess I can wear also my hair in the back shorter again . Anyway brother what I wanted to say , wear your hair any way you like it , cause no average joe will think from the short hair that there was something done , and in the end go for the look that you think look best on you and make you feel most confident .

    Wondering if you could intentionally over harvest and leave no hairs? So then there are technically no bald spots. It’s just bald there and you always do a bald fade. Make sense? Or would it look terrible?
    I’m considering a transplant but am worried I may continue to lose hair and won’t have enough donor left and I don’t want to have to take meds.

    • @HairlineConfessions
      @HairlineConfessions  2 года назад +1

      I don’t think that would look good pal. Because you would still have hairs above or below the section they take from. You can only take so many grafts from your donor, so if you think you’ll need more surgeries in the future you need to go to a clinic with a reputation for excellent donor management.
