Dude this is really good. You put alot of time and effort into this. There are alot of crappy stop motions on here but your has got to be if not the best then close to it.
Your track is the best I've seen ever. Beautiful scale, stands, garage, even track markings. Just brilliant. I tip my hat to you, sir. Also, great camera angles. Felt like a real broadcast
I FUCKING LOVE THIS!! This tops any stop motion on youtube seriously! the fire, the smoothness, you nailed the speed PERFECTLY, crashes are fantastic length with all the other camera angles to it, its not 2 seconds long like little kids do, and i can go on and on man but just well done, favorite + Thumbs up!! Oh and SICK transition!!
This is one of the best stop motions i have ever seen!! i always watch this video over and over again because it is so good, but can you tell me how much you move your cars for each pic.?
Thats pretty amazin The motion looks very real How much did u move them each shot? An how long did it take you to build that awesome track Way cool man!
@aptg95 No problem, I try stop motion, but its bad, Because I have no Idea how to get it fast like that haha. This is the best. Stop motion ever. PERIOD. You rock at making them!
Really great job on this one buddy! I remember seeing the trailer and thinking this'll be fantastic, and it is. One of the best stop motions out there at the moment, and Im not just saying that because yours had Burton win ;) Love the static camera views, they give a great (and realistic) sense of speed :)
@NightFightah Thanks man! I'm currently working on the 2011 version of this and a Nationwide race to accompany it. They've been delayed severely because of school, being super busy, my laptop breaking and procrastination, but I'm trying to finish them. Thanks again!
@LostHighwayFilms 2 sets of white posterboard cut the same size, with little pieces in between them, the 2nd piece is glued on its two ends at the start of a turn and at the end.
@artofsax White posterboard cut into about 2cm strips, for the safer barrier it's just a second wall glued to the other one with pieces of 2cm posterboard cut into about 1.5cm wide pieces for the support
@aptg95 Well, you can hear that your mouth is a little to close to the mic. Perhaps a 'wind guard' cover over the tip of the mic would help. And, the starting lineup, it sounded like you were trying to catch up a little bit, stumbling over your words a bit. I don't really think anything else needs any improvement, you did a great job.
Yeah man, I'd need to completely re-download all my software and also I might have to move so I can't start anything regardless until I know if I have to move or not. Hopefully someday I'll get both the 2011 and 2012 Ice Bucket 500s out
@iamchazzi ever thought about making one? I tried to last year, it fell through, I'm too busy to make stop motions, same reason the 2011 race isn't out yet.
@artofsax I'm not sure, it's supposed to be out next Sunday but I haven't even started yet. I haven't had the time to do it nor the realization that it's supposed to be out next week, haha. I'll get to work on it tomorrow if I can.
@disturbed8893 That's true. When I was doing the starting line-up I was really going without a script or anything, plus I had no idea when the transitions would occur, so I'd either get too far ahead of myself or too far behind. Also, that'd be good, if I had one. I suppose since I'm in a band now I'll likely have a decent mic in the near future so that's some good insight. Thanks for the feedback :)
@willieponce1 haha yes! I was wondering when I made the race... "what crash does this look like... it was a COY crash but like... nationwide... nextel.... busch..??" thanks for pointing that out, I finally know now XD :P
@samngx haha thanks, and yeah I actually had it and was going to use it in a different video (the war project for my french class thats on here, I used NBC's instead :P) so I was like, "hey I should use it in the IB500 :P"
@TheMagicalLemon01 depends on the fps. You need at least 12 for a super smooth one. and I only move them like 0.4 car lengths on straight aways, and like, 1/4 in turns, and probably about half a wheel's length for pace laps (that's what I do for like 15FPS thouugh)
@Dalejr88rox it is pretty smooth, I just used a baseball glove for this O_O my mini-tripod for it broke, otherwise I'd use that. And Vegas? AWESOME. That's a BOSS editing system :D I don't get how to use it haha, too lazy to learn. :P
@TheBlackPeguin Not even started. Big NASCAR Stop motions are dead it seems, so I'm just going to do the Ice Bucket 500 every year. I might do the YT500 someday though.
Maybe someday. Life's become a bit too busy for me now though and video-making in general has completely fell off for me. Not to mention I lost all my stop motion software. I may try though sometime, but that's unlikely.
Still Legendary
Dude this is really good. You put alot of time and effort into this. There are alot of crappy stop motions on here but your has got to be if not the best then close to it.
If you ask me, best ever stop motion race I've ever seen, with the best quality and frames per second to boot!
Nice job aptg and thx for puttin biff on pole ;3 hope next year is just as epic in the 2010 IB500 :D
Your track is the best I've seen ever. Beautiful scale, stands, garage, even track markings. Just brilliant. I tip my hat to you, sir. Also, great camera angles. Felt like a real broadcast

one of the best sm's of the year. nice to have ya back alex!
Best stop motion yet. Perfect speed. Awesome.
Awesome! That's really good. I agree that is probably your best stop motion. Nice effects and on screen editing.
I think you could improve the voice overs, but other than that, this is one of the best stop motion nascar's i've seen
Very VERY smooth man, nice job! Unbelievably realistic too! 10/5!
Probly the best stop motion race ever! So reallistic
Great Stop Motion man. Was worth the wait.

was worth the wait, great job man
Impressive!
The Kyle Busch pit stop was so cool with the tires rolling to the wall. BTW, one of the best stop motions i've seen!!
dude thats sweet..nice job
You sir, should deserve a spot in the NASCAR booth. You are way better than Vince Welch.
This is one of the best stop motions i have ever seen!! i always watch this video over and over again because it is so good, but can you tell me how much you move your cars for each pic.?
Thats pretty amazin
The motion looks very real
How much did u move them each shot?
An how long did it take you to build that awesome track
Way cool man!
where's all the debris cautions? lol....
hey that was REALLY GOOD. Good homemade stop motion is hard to come by these days, you did pretty good
@aptg95 haha alex is always the modest guy....dude u deserve this man everyone's been waiting and u still surprised them! way to go man
@aptg95 No problem, I try stop motion, but its bad, Because I have no Idea how to get it fast like that haha. This is the best. Stop motion ever. PERIOD. You rock at making them!
Very Well Done!
Really great job on this one buddy! I remember seeing the trailer and thinking this'll be fantastic, and it is. One of the best stop motions out there at the moment, and Im not just saying that because yours had Burton win ;) Love the static camera views, they give a great (and realistic) sense of speed :)
that was once again a great video.
glad your back making these vids.
Great race!I love the end.Good Job!
Hornish brings out the first caution. Naturally
The commentary was great and the stop motion was really smooth!
@aptg95 Whoops, sorry 'bout that. I understand. Thanks for being patient
@NightFightah Thanks man! I'm currently working on the 2011 version of this and a Nationwide race to accompany it. They've been delayed severely because of school, being super busy, my laptop breaking and procrastination, but I'm trying to finish them. Thanks again!

one of my favorite this year awsome job i WILLLLL! subscibe
@LostHighwayFilms 2 sets of white posterboard cut the same size, with little pieces in between them, the 2nd piece is glued on its two ends at the start of a turn and at the end.
Awesome Job!
FINALLY! Canada's first NASCAR track! Canada welcomes the NASCAR Sprint Cup!
That was great!
What program did you use to make this?
@artofsax White posterboard cut into about 2cm strips, for the safer barrier it's just a second wall glued to the other one with pieces of 2cm posterboard cut into about 1.5cm wide pieces for the support
love how johnson had to go to the back and kyle busch wrecked. hate em both. lol. great job. amazing.
Awesome!
Are u doing seasons if so u should tell me when you have amazing stop motions!
@TheMagicalLemon01
Well thank you! ^_^ What do you use to make stop motions?
Great stop motion!
where did you get your sound effects?
I couldnt even tell that this was a stop motion! How many frames per second did you use?
Great Stop motion when is the 2011 Ice Bucket 500 coming out
@aptg95 its realy aesy once u get used to it. i learn by watching then doing. now i can do some pretty good things on sony vegas
Nice track and race. How fast do you have your pics.?
Nice vid.
@nj6pack it's unofficially the NASCAR on Aptg95 Theme Song, but it's actually from FreePlayMusic and it's called MugShot
Yeah man, I'd need to completely re-download all my software and also I might have to move so I can't start anything regardless until I know if I have to move or not. Hopefully someday I'll get both the 2011 and 2012 Ice Bucket 500s out
I like the way you said Michael Waltrip...
Ok, i can tell u this.... this is way better than mine!!! Best since Browndoor1986's SM!!!
@iamchazzi ever thought about making one? I tried to last year, it fell through, I'm too busy to make stop motions, same reason the 2011 race isn't out yet.
@aptg95 kool i liked how you did the replay when hornish wrecked with the montoya pic
@artofsax I'm not sure, it's supposed to be out next Sunday but I haven't even started yet. I haven't had the time to do it nor the realization that it's supposed to be out next week, haha. I'll get to work on it tomorrow if I can.
@dechsner
haha, thanks! :) well, I don't really know exactly but, HARDLY any. Like the splitter's length maybe?
@aptg95 how do you do this so smooth?
i like how you put black marks on the wall when guys hit the wall.
@aptg95 another question wat do u use to make it were its like a video do u use windows movie maker?
@SDproductions25 so i have to save the narraton in a video the put it in the time line and add the sounds? i get it!
Once again, thanks for the positive feedback guys :)
if you want it up in January, start it in June
@disturbed8893 That's true. When I was doing the starting line-up I was really going without a script or anything, plus I had no idea when the transitions would occur, so I'd either get too far ahead of myself or too far behind. Also, that'd be good, if I had one. I suppose since I'm in a band now I'll likely have a decent mic in the near future so that's some good insight. Thanks for the feedback :)
I am making my own stopmotion and i wanted to know where you got the nascar sounds
@willieponce1
haha yes! I was wondering when I made the race... "what crash does this look like... it was a COY crash but like... nationwide... nextel.... busch..??"
thanks for pointing that out, I finally know now XD :P
Great race 5/5 I know sms are a lot of work, but maybe next time you could have alittle more racing.
if i could like it like 700 times i would
@NASCARINATOR agreed!
@samngx
haha thanks, and yeah I actually had it and was going to use it in a different video (the war project for my french class thats on here, I used NBC's instead :P) so I was like, "hey I should use it in the IB500 :P"
@Xanderman3636
thanks man ^_^ I gotta stop keeping people waiting for stuff though, hahaha.
cool race
Nice Job
btw why would jimmie johnson speed if you restart in the same place of which you came in?????
@nascartv9 It's technically the first race of 2010 but it's like the Toyota All-Star showdown, it's the 2009 cars but they're racing 2010
OMGZ NEW STAWP MOWSHUNSSSS OMGWFTBBQ MAN!!!
Anyway super cool Tige
@Masteroftacos
thanks son
I love the track
@TheMagicalLemon01

NICE track
nice man
@aptg95 k hav u ever thought about a race leauge? im gonna make one by next year and wanted to know if you wanted to join
how many pieces of posterboard. 2 or 3?
whered you get the sounds? what program did you use
@aptg95, how do i double speed with pictures... on a cell... phone...
Dont skip ablots of laps
Drew Schulte I agree. I would rather watch a stop motion race with just 8 laps of constant racing than one like this.
10000000000000000000000000000000000000/5 nice race man
what do you use and how do you get sounds im about to start my own stopmotion :D
@Dalejr88rox
it is pretty smooth, I just used a baseball glove for this O_O my mini-tripod for it broke, otherwise I'd use that. And Vegas? AWESOME. That's a BOSS editing system :D I don't get how to use it haha, too lazy to learn. :P
@TheBlackPeguin
Not even started. Big NASCAR Stop motions are dead it seems, so I'm just going to do the Ice Bucket 500 every year. I might do the YT500 someday though.
@JakeSnakeman5 yep
@aptg95 idk how to with a cell phone, and how far do you move a car?
how do u narate i try but the sounds get all messed up please help!
@NASCARINATOR
I still would say Browndoor's is, it had the most work put into it and more stop motion, this one was half titles :P
Maybe someday. Life's become a bit too busy for me now though and video-making in general has completely fell off for me. Not to mention I lost all my stop motion software. I may try though sometime, but that's unlikely.
