Fung Bros are really good but the thing I love about your videos is your choice of dishes, food shots, and detailed feedback. I could watch this video several times it's that good. Plus you and your husband are a fun couple.
I want to try hotpot with my sis for the first time next month for our birthday. Currently trying to decide where to go and this might be the place just because we know that area and it’s easier to get to than the one in queens.
Sorry, I totally wanted to comment earlier but totally forgot. But I think I saw you and your husband waking near Bryant Park (the side of the NYPL) on Monday (3/14)! Not to sound like a creeper lol….Would’ve said “hi”, if that was you, but i was with a friend 😭
I watched the Fung Bros latest Cantonese food video. It’s a very long video. They did many different restaurants in this Cantonese food video. In one of the restaurants where for lunch you can get a six dollar bowl of wonton or a seven dollar three treasure meats over rice, and then on the same menu you can get a $80.00 Dungeness crab over sticky rice!! Remember you did a seafood video in a Houston Chinatown Restaurant where the Dungeness Crab and rice were wrapped in lotus leaves which is different. So, it seems like the restaurants in the East Coast is doing something like that, but not wrapped in lotus leaves though. Sticky rice getting the juices from the crab absorbed in it is delicious. However, at $80.00 is expensive!!!! I’m not a filthy rich person, and don’t eat gourmet food every often unfortunately!!!! In a rare opportunity I did get a chance to eat a big abalone at the East Buffet Restaurant which has changed their name to East Bistro Restaurant in the Flushing Chinatown in July 2021. The big abalone was around $65.00. Big abalone are awesomely delicious, and so much better than crabs. Besides, crabs are available everywhere where abalone are only available in big Chinese seafood restaurants in the Chinatowns of large cities. Anyway, I didn’t have any luck as the big abalone was over cooked. So, it was not delicious as it could had been 🥺. Would you pick a 🦀 or a abalone for $80.00?
I think it was cheaper in Houston! But definitely $80 is too expensive!!! Maybe it is a one time thing I’ll try it just for the sake of trying and making videos haha!
@@MsMinglifestyle The way the Fung Bros said it didn’t sound like a one time thing especially when they said you can get a bowl of six dollar wonton for lunch on the same menu. These Fung Bros have only done abalone 2 times. I guess they have to do the seafood that the majority of people eat, and are available everywhere 🐙🦑🦐🦞🦀. I guess you have to do that too 😃
The hotpot looks good. There are literally lots of hotpot restaurants if you combine the ones in the original Manhattan Chinatown, the two Brooklyn Chinatown and the Flushing Chinatown. Why go to the one that Fong Bros went to????!!!!! Are you related to the Fung Bros?
Nah, I wish! I love their videos and wanted to try the places they recommended to see if it’s really good! We were gonna go to flushing, but it takes 1.5 hr by train 🚂. And we have to come back. So that’s 3 hr on the road. Maybe next time!
The Cheap eats videos that the Fung Bros made is not good for Chinese people since we have been eating these cheap eats all our lives!!!! However, they have been doing a lot of different kinds of food these days. The most recent video they just uploaded on March 21, 2022 has 8 different restaurants listed that they ate at. I watched a little bit, but will finish watching it later. This latest video looks interesting. In the beginning of this latest video, they mentioned that their father is Cantonese. I have heard them speak both Cantonese and Mandarin which is good. I can speak elementary Mandarin, haha!!
I honestly hate when people use the word "professional" to mean competence........English is my second language ok, but profession means job, no? EXPERT, MASTER! those convey something. Professional tho? such an idiot language.

Nice varied hot pot to warm up. Good guide on how to proceed and choices.
Thank you for watching!! I wish we could order more but we couldn’t finish that much haha! And NYC is expensive!
Really enjoying your Vlogs in New York. Keep them coming. Love all the food reviews.
Thank you!!! Yes! More to come!! We tried to go as many places as possible within 4.5 days! ❤️❤️
Looks amazing nice video
Thanks so much

Yea yea. I heard queens have really good and new restaurants! But it was too far for us to get to. Didn’t wanna spend half a day on subways 😅
