@QueenofTaterTots "I thought my parent never cared about me, but it turns out they were just dead all these years and I never found out" doesn't exactly make it feel less depressing...
I'm 27 years old, Violet is the first Pokemon game I've played, and never in 100 years did I think it would have me crying in the club. I've had multiple pets growing up, and I have worked and volunteered in animal care for my entire adult life. This whole plotline hit DIFFERENT, man.
Lol i cried When I heard his story to be honest pokemon violet and scarlet is the Best story I've ever played of pokemon and I figured out that out friends is out treasure for us in the Game its such a heart warming story right?!
It's definitely the first time Pokemon has actually made me FEEL something, at least since that fakeout episode of Ash giving up his Pikachu 25 years ago when I was a kid, and that was the anime, not a game. I rewatched this scene when I wasn't streaming and a combination of the music and how relatable the whole story is for anyone that's ever lost a pet had me bawling my eyes out. It's retroactively made all the more heartwarming after what Arven goes through. I don't think they'll ever be able to top this in terms of pure emotion-triggering, but I hope they try in gen 10 and beyond, or even in the upcoming DLC (hope Arven has a part in it).
I really held my tears during all the mabostiff thing until I learned Arven's parents are both dead with that reveal in Area Zero. That pokemon was all he had growing up.
Yep. You help Arven keep the one reliable presence in his life.
It’s frankly as happy as his story gets.
Only to beat the shit outta the fuzzy fuck shortly afterward- *Gets mauled by his Masbosstiff* AAAAAAAAAAH-
The only reason Turo/Sada weren't there is they have literally been a corpse for years in the crater, the dismissive uncaring professor was the AI

Bros voiced sound how I would think arven’s voice would be
Arvens Mabostiff: sickly looking
Arvens Mabostiff, if there was a time limit and you don't finish Arvens story in time: its now a Houndstone 🤣
I really held my tears during all the mabostiff thing until I learned Arven's parents are both dead with that reveal in Area Zero. That pokemon was all he had growing up.
i saw arven and clicked immeadiately
“They really upped the emotions in this game”
Sun and moon; 😑
He almost turned into Houndstone 😅
He voiced Miraidon
Don't fucking tell me this. Lol love it
Where men cried except my dad
I'm going to be honest
I don't like Arven, he always seemed to be the downer on our adventure
But scene hit me like the end to a PMD game
