FWIW - the update is live for Android users as of 10/27/24, and I am sure iOS will follow, but Apple’s update process takes longer than Android’s, I’ve heard. Sit tight, iOS folks!
@@askariboy4857 Hard to say, since I have yet to test that model. Lowest you can go on these is 30% strength. I’ll be testing the DMP-10 next month probably.
@@kalamazoo_reefer Nice! I’m currently rocking the 1600gph hygger wavemaker and would think this would be a nice little upgrade that would allow me to tweak things a bit more.

@@kalamazoo_reefer I will be watching out for the video when they finally update the option of being able to control the power at random speeds. This was a dealbreaker for me. Keep up with the videos!
I bought 2 dmp 20s after watching your vidoes. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. If these pumps prove to be reliable, they truly are a game changer.
Bought a DMP 10 today. Appreciate your time in showing us around. If my first one is a good fit, and the pairing (wave) option with a 2nd pump is good, I will order a 2nd one. Looking forward to that pairing video. Love seeing more competition driving innovation up and price down... especially given what Aperture is doing to gatekeep the hobby.
Appreciate your thoughts, my friend. I wholly agree. Looking forward to experimenting with the pairing process. I’ll probably make a whole video specifically about that!
Thanks for the video. I 100% agree about random mode. This is bad that I can't get a larger pump just in case in the future, i might have to crank it up more with coral growth. :(
iOS wallpaper on an android tablet?! Blasphemy lol. Thanks for going over the app settings. These pumps look interesting, going to purchase one of the DMP10s.
I don’t see one. I connect my devices to an EcoFlow River 2 power station, which is an LFP battery with a long lifespan. I just connect them via AC and get many hours or runtime. DC is more efficient, but by negating the need for DC connection, I can run any gear on my backup. Wish they’d included it, though, for folks that want it!
Has anyone tried running a couple pumps and can you get them to run in anti-sync; I’d like to put one on either side of a tank and have them alternate which is pushing
A shame about random mode intensity. hopefully they will update the app. I purchased a DMP10 to give it a try. hopefully they do , if not I'll stick with the Ecotech brand.
Don’t know enough about the other models yet, though I will soon! I’d roll with a DMP-30, if this is the primary flow pump you’ll be using, but take that with a grain of salt, as again, I have only tested the DMP-20.
@@Richard-v1w It’s on AliExpress. Search term: Jecod DMP. Purchase from the seller who has sold the most units. Best bet every time. Never gone wrong using this method.
Because they can’t innovate. Not at a high rate, anyway. They were far more comfortable to just direct copy-paste this. Too nervous to go that far outside the box. But hey, we got suction cup caps. That was a legit improvement. Not bad.
They have done WiFi control before with previous modules, but many people complained that it's difficult to connect (although I personally have a pretty good luck with it), so I'm guessing that's why they go with Bluetooth this time.
I got 2 slw 20 wifi, the app is the same. When I run them with program, they often dont start after feed period.I am afraid, the dmps will have the same issue.
@kalamazoo_reefer No, the feeding time is part of the program; the pumps stop when it’s time. However, when the feeding time ends (yellow zone) and the random mode should start, the pumps don’t turn on. I haven’t tried after the update; maybe they’ve fixed it.
@ Interesting. When I get my wavemakers running on the tank full time, following my RUclips series on them, I’ll experiment fully, and see if I can’t get this sorted. Their customer service agent was responsive to my request for adding flow control to “Random Mode,” so I’m hoping they are responsive to other suggestions!
UPDATE: Jebao has updated their app’s “Random Flow Mode” to include an INTENSITY CONTROL FUNCTION! YES!!!

Is there a feed mode button on the controller or can you only enter it through the app?
Are you able to select the intensity in the manual controller? And then set the modes in the app?

Can you tell me if there is an extra port on the controller for a battery back up to be plugged in?

Does the configuration save once you set it?
Yep, it just runs in that config until you change it. You have to delete it to start from scratch on a new config.
Any chance they can connect with hydros wave engine ?
Guessing not, but I have no familiarity with Hydros!
Do these ship from China or the US when you order?
