using a pin vice to hold the wire to file it.... my god. see, never would have thought of that! beautiful locket. want to make one soon! great tutorial - looking forward to more :) (and no Ukelele - excellent)
@@theschoolofjewelleryireland absolutely. I was actually starting to plan out a new piece to start next week and was thinking an Alice in Wonderland inspired locket. Or, at some point anyway. When I'm at that stage. By have some ideas :)
This was lovely to watch and I learned a lot - that doming/ plier trick from the tube rivet is genius... I have to be mindful of noise too. Could you tell me what the name of the flattening tool was near the start?
Aw thanks so much for your kind words. The tool I used is an engine valve from a car engine they are often used as they are super flat and transfer the tapping directly down onto what you are flattening, if you manage to get one cut the stem a bit shorter as they are long and that can make them a little wobbly much more easier get a stable tap on the shorter length.
Super teacher! Calm, to the point, easy to follow
I like your use of the valve to flatten your locket. I also like the picture you put in the locket!
Glad you like it! My daughter loved it also.

how much will it cost to make a pendant?
What do you use for pickle?
I use "safety pickle" from sparex. can be bought through Cooksongold
Is this something a beginner can do? I want to try making it but I don’t even have the right tools yet 😅
