Wow !! what a blast from the past...thanks to my daughter trawling for funny memorabilia of my past life on Kids TV!!! Thanks Bonnie!! hahaha We had a ball in those days..what a great crew of peoiple went into making over 7,000 shows - quality afternoon Kids TV over the 11 years Robin and I were at NWS9 in the late 70;s and 80's...Winky....see you soon! xx
Used to love the show way back in the day Joey, still remember the two "me no silly, me no dumb" parachuting jokes that Winky told one afternoon, I thought that was just so hilarious and edgy as an 8 year old at the time. PS. Was that you as the tea lady in Bullpit or was I mistaken?
@@relacser thanks so much for your fantastic memories Rhee...Hope you are well and doing ok under the circumstances!! ....and YES that was me as a Tea Lady in Bullpit ...highlight of my first year living and working in Sydney and meeting such wonderful comedy actors ...most of whom Ive been working with in Voice Overs ever since!!
WOW, just WOW. I used to work in the audio department on this show. Sometimes I think things are taken for granted. It takes enormous talent on the part of these presenters like Joey and Robin to present so much fun in such an uplifting way, 6 days a week I think it was, and LIVE. Well done guys, miss you heaps.
Great memories. I remember they asked the kids to design a rocket ship for Winky Dink because he wanted to blast off into space. They had a radio operator in the studio trying to contact Winky. Great times.
My sister and I used to visit our paternal grandparents in Adelaide and we each had a winkydink toy and would sit and watch C'mon Kids. My grandmother used to make the best scones. I can still smell the house just thinking about it.
C'mon Kids had interviews with overseas celebrities too. These were done via satellite. Guests included Noah Hathaway who had played Atreyu in The Neverending Story, and Gudrun Ure, the star of the Super Gran TV series. One of the reporters was Mike 'Brossie' Brosnan. He did stories about the new Blue Smarties. He went to the USA. He interviewed Alyssa Milano who was on 'Who's the Boss?'
Whoa Nostalgic attack!!! Can't say that I've seen that much of this show back when I was 8 yrs old but I do barely remember it?! Was this shown during the weekdays (probably) or the weekends (most likely)?! And what the hell was Winkey anyway?! A albino platypus or a penguin?! I don't have to many memories of shows from 1986/87 as my memory line starts pretty much from 1988! But I do like to fill in those gaps though and cheers for this!
Hey Vince I will try to get in touch with camera man who may have shot that shearer program- what year was it done- any idea? And who was the presenter-Rob me or Brozzie??
hi do you remember doing a ad for Brian Lane Airconditioning back in the early 80's with a little girl with a yellow teddy bear......... i was that little girl you did it with been trying to find the ad so i can show my friends but havent been able to
The Priests would love this show.

I remember Winky interviewing Robert Deniro when he was out here promoting Goodfellas. The look on his face was priceless!
Omg that would've been a classic to see

There’s a full episode here. What’s your name so we can see it in the credits?
I remember Wendy's had a Winky Dink ice cream for a while, it was dipped in pink sherbet.
that's the only reason I'm here that ice cream
2 caramel choc buttons for the beak
My god, Winky's Voice just hit me. I really thought this show was on for more than 4 year cos it seemed like most of my childhood.
You could be right. I think C'mon Kids began in South Australia before it was shown in every state.
Our school got to be on the show around '87 or '88. I got to sit in the front row of the audience. It was a lot of fun!
This takes me back. I had the *biggest* crush on Joanna Moore back in the day 😍

I remember when it was called the Channel Niners :-)
Memories!

My father was on a segment on this show, he took a group of students out to watch Halley's comet in 1986. love to get the footage again.
Winky is sooo cute ☺️
I loved this show.

@Tarrant1976 I remember 'Off the Dish'! I remember Gwen played a character called 'Ro' sometimes.
C'Mon kids now sounds like the title a show about Catholic priests.
C'mon to my van kids!
Cardinal George Pell used to C’mon kids too
WINKY DINK!!!!

Surely has to be history's most inappropriate name for a TV show?
