One thing I really appreciate in the TRR seires is that they show the dialogues. As I'm not a native English speaker, there have been a lot of dialogues I didn't make out untill now. Basically, harsh accents etc..
I agree the dynamic between Lara and Willard is pretty weird. (It's honestly kind of the same in TR4 with her and Von Croy.) I suppose you could say that Willard was hoping his guys would kill Lara and he could just collect the artefacts without having to deal with her. But to his surprise, Lara outlived every single one of his guys, so then he had no choice but to pretend to be friendly with her. As for the RX Tech guys being friendly, I always thought they didn't have much to do with Willard directly. It looks like maybe they were just hired to "exterminate" the mutants.
You should make a Tutorial Video about the basics of The ModCon. I think an extensive explaination would be interesting towards the more sceptics of players.

In the game whenever girl tries to kill, after few time they appear on their place again. The girl then goes to a hall. Above her two demons fires. She kills them. In the hall there are three ways one beside other. Middle one is fire, if she goes she die. Right one she can go, but it was difficult to go further within that path as in that way when I move foreword, I see lava and above that a path with triangle shaped, so difficult to put step in it. So I choose to go on left way. There are stairs to go down. In the stair, the laser rod comes and goes. I pass then went down. I killed the demon. In next Next room there was a robot. That shape was like round sweeper robot. Whenever I fire, it goes and charging point in the room. Actually there is a charging beam in the middle of the room. After getting charged it again tries to give shock to me. I cannot kill it. I go to next room. That room was little bit dark and a small room. There someone kills me.
When those remasters got released, some of my thoughts were "Matt would most likely love these and approve of the way they got made" and also "I wish I could watch his playthroughs of these remasters, just like I still do the OGs". It's essential that you're back, as classic TR gameplay scene was really missing The King 🙂 I also fully agree with your statements on Crystal Dynamics and modern additions to this franchise - I already got dissatisfied with LAU trilogy (which were way too dumb), but the Survivor one turned me off completely. Indeed, these are NOT Tomb Raider games and their protagonist is NOT Lara Croft. It is just Crystal Dynamics misusing the franchise by milking someone else's IP - the essence and greatness of which they mock and defame at every opportunity. What a bunch of losers.. LbnL I admire your determination to play through all these games with modern controls, as IMHO they suck, when compared to the old-school tank controls. I really really hope they remaster tombraider 4 and 5!🧡🎉 because I need to see you play it😅 the newer tombraider games ruined the whole concept of lara croft. You can't beat classic tombraider. Need more games like this. I think tombraider died for me after underworld.😢

The issue with the natives is one of representation. I feel that keeping them the same is good from a preservation standpoint. I wouldn't have changed them myself. Classic Tomb Raider is a product of its time. The issue with it is that this portrayal was a VERY common racial sterotype. To the point that indigenous peoples were just assumed to be cannibals by a lot of people and media. The 90s were an interesting time. We considered all representation to be good and inclusive. Today we know better that this isn't the case. There's both good and bad representation. Pointing out where media is racist or just being racially insensitive is not racist. Its accountability. The disclaimer is a GOOD one. It acknowledges both the issue, and the importantce of preservation. The only potentially weird thing is that its coming from Crystal Dynamics and not Aspyr.
I don't recall having the notion that all "natives" of anything were cannibals when I was growing up. This is a fictional story with fictional characters in fictional made up groups. It has no bearing in reality, and for people who complain about it's effects in reality are also not living in reality. If we assume that these in-game portrayals were intended to shine certain people in a particular light then we aren't looking at all the other stereotypes that every other group is portrayed as. What about the stereotype of the Scottish in TR2G? Or the portrayal of Larson as a dumb gun-toting white guy?

Your experiences aren't universal and my experiences aren't universal. But people HAVE been swayed by it. The "savage native" has been used to justify the muder of Native Americans, it was used to justify taking their land, it was used to justify taking their children away to be rasied outside the culture. Its still used to justify Native South American tribes' land rights by the logging industry. It has a very tangible and observable effect on the world. I'm not saying that the devs had any kind of bad intentions when they made these games. It was a common trope, they probably didn't think about it at all. I'm also not saying liking these games makes someone racist, I LOVE these games. Its just important to know that these things had, and have, an effect on people, and ignoring it is not good.

Everyone freaks out when some particular race other than white is depicted in some negative way. What's more accurate is that cannibals exist in the world. Can be anyone. I got all crystals and secrets and yet could not play all hollows, think they probably removed the level for the remastered version
Plus on costal village levels there is a med pack on the quick sand that can be reach, don't think all pickups will be need it for the secret level
