Nothing More always hits when you're going through hard times. This song has hit me the hardest in a while. Their songs God Went North and Just Say When are among my favorites cause they capture the exact emotions I was feeling at the time of first listening to those songs. This song captures my exact feeling about what I'm going through. The capturing of individual problems while turning those problems into a song for everyone is always what makes Nothing More one of my favorite bands. I can't wait to see these guys live.

All the songs they've released that I listen to are flipping epic. I love this band all these songs I've listened to are pretty much my life with my ex. Finding the strength to leave everything and even his past songs was like literally everything in my relationship with my ex. Love these guys to be able to take things from life and everybody knows what they're feeling because it's happened to them. ❤❤❤

Omg I got chills….this description of this songs what I dealt with my ex who switched up on me and became abusive . She wanted me to marry her and have kids. But she would say things “I wish you were dead etc.” I treated her well, but I can’t be with someone who is abusive and she put her hands on me too and I had to walk away. Nothing More I swear every album is a human experience that they touch and read my mind it’s crazy. Love you guys and I hope I can meet them one day.

I'm sorry you were with a shitty chick. This song also reminded me of an ex. Mine never told me he wished I was dead,but he did put his hands on me. In the end when he put his hands on me and I then defended myself, he tried to play victim when he had hit me several times 1st!! That was one of the most stupid things I had ever seen or dealt with. I dont understand people sometimes.
I feel this is description of dealing with a narcissist, they can be perfect for you and act perfectly but have no emotion in regards to love or caring more about someone than yourself.
Killer shit as always one of my favorite bands atm by a long shot.

I know this song is about a relationship but all I can imagine is my dad. Begging him to go back to who he was when I was a kid, to give my little brother the same experience. And all the tears I've been crying when he says he loves me but it never seems like he knows what love really means.

I don't know everything but I know his mother died of cancer, his sister was/is a drug addict, and some other family stuff with his aunt and cousin(s).
He's like Vincent van Gogh, turning his pain into works of art.
@@carloscampos1824 his sister battles with a lot of mental issues (she's bipolar if I remember correctly), so she turned to substance abuse to try escape her inner demons.
I was thinking the same thing. Imagine these guys wrote a song about being happy in a relationship, instead of a breakup/end of relationship song. That would be full circle 😬

Yeah, mother died, sister was a drug addict, various family stuff, and a really hard divorce (that was the primary subject of the stories we tell yourself).
Having had an abusive mother, and facing two of my best friends turning abusive towards me, both whom I desperately loved, this bad consistently hits the feelings I feel and... I know well what he's dealt with and... god I cannot comprehend or describe it.
This just hearing it for the 1st. Just geting out of a 1 year relationship and put everything i had into it. Then she just tossed me aside and this song just speaks to my soul. #Love Maines
This song almost brings me to tears because I just got of a relationship and she switched up a full year and left me for another female that she caught feelings for in a couple days of hanging out behind my back but we live on and I’m gonna keep living and listening to nothing more to help take the pain away!

This band has been around for a couple of decades but they are new to my ear.
This is high quality Prog Metal that has everything you want from this subgenre - superior production, lyrics, vocals, a great melody and a sophisticated structure that all hangs together.
It's highly polished and synthesised, but if it's the song that matters to you, it's very well done. Everything is built around the wonderful melancholy melody and lyrics - it's an epic crammed into 4.5 minutes.
If you occasionally like your metal in a recliner with quality headphones and a decent coffee, this is the perfect tune. A must for your Prog/Alternative Metal playlist. My Score: Very Good 4*

Agree with Gavin, they are not Prog Metal lol. They are Alternative Metal, Electronic Rock with some Progressive, Post-Hardcore & Heavy Metal influences. They are a Genre Salad. 😂

They’ve actually toned down some of the nonstandard elements vs what they had in the old days. They used to have 7+ min epics all the time lol

Back in 2014 I was struggling with coming to grips with my religious upbringing and wanted to step away from christianity. They're self-titled album, especially their song Christ copyright, as well as their Alan Watts clips, truly helped aid me in my journey to becoming who I am today. I will always love this band.

You guys killed it. Lyrically that was on point. To me the song conveys a first person interaction with God and his willingness to love us and we don't understand his love for us and its killing him that we don't recognize the love he's trying to give.

The overall direction of sound is like a return to form where you can hear similarities from TFNF and Self-titled but with lessons learned on what worked and didn't in the last album.
