Lanzones have a lot of varieties. But the most common in the Philippines is the Paete (which is "normal" lanzones in the Philippines, thin skin, almost no seeds) and Jolo (the larger, usually sourer one, thin skin, big seeds). There are three other types from other parts of Southeast Asia: Langsat (similar to Paete, thin skin, but with more seeds), Duku (thick skin, small seeds), and Longkong (a cross between Langsat and Duku, almost no seeds).

Longan is more related to lychee or rambutan. They look the same outside, but longgan only has one seed. It doesn't help that their names are similar: "longan" and "lanzones"/"langsat", so people often confuse them.

For the 2cups malagkit flour, add only 1/2cup water. If you want Ube flavor or color, just mix few Tbsp of Ube Halaya (avoid using food coloring). Looks yummy 😋 kakamis

Binignit, the Visayan version of bilo-bilo, mainly uses actual glutinous rice grains and sago/tapioca pearls. You could try that if you can't find bilo-bilo. :P It's more like a lugaw though, texture wise.

Food vlogger fail, haha, you didn't describe or rate the food you ate! Congrats on a successful bilo-bilo! I was shocked when you added a whole cup of water and wondered if you were using or had read a proper recipe. At least you had enough rice flour to save it.

They are ok 😊 Luckily there are way less rivers across Hungary so there's serious flood only in small towns around Budapest.
Still really sad for the people who live there but luckily most Hungarians are not affected

@@SusieinthePhilippines it's made the same with langka, maybe kamote if it's available and saba. But the tapioca pearls used were bigger, since there was only one size available ( waaayyy ) back in the day.😄

I knew about tuna (I'm limiting my canned tuna intake) but never heard about sword fish! Good thing we didn't buy, I'll try some time later after pregnancy. Thank you for the info!!
