- Congratulations to the new 665 Marines from Kilo & November Companies at MCRD Parris Island. We were such proud parents to witness our son on this huge accomplishment as we know, or at least we think we know, how much went into the completion of this 13 week bootcamp. Semper Fi!

Had to come watch this again. Now that my mother has passed, seeing a graduation reminds me of one of the best moments of my life that she was here for.
Congrats to Ethan, did anyone notice how many guys that were in crutches?!! Lol.
They broke their legs?
Mike Hodges no more like sprained them since they don’t have casts
Prob broke the legs from SO much hell
Mike Hodges no its probably because there legs hurt from training
Yes I did
Congrats Marine. Graduated in 93. That parade was identical to mine some 25 years ago. You will never forget those 3 months of ur life. Every now and then I will still have a dream about boot camp. It gets into your bones. I can still hear my senior Ssgt. Parrish voice," THIS IS NOT PARRIS ISLAND, THIS IS PARRISH'S ISLAND. Just wanted to welcome you to the brotherhood. Semper Fi!
Thank you! Ethan is back at training now but should be home for Christmas. From what he has told me he will never forget his experience either!!
Did you get any combat experience cause Ik there was shit going on in 93
This also brings back memories for me. I graduated from Army Basic Training in January 1989.Congratulations to your Marine and God bless you all.🙂
Matthew Johnson God Bless You
Thank You 🙏
18:10 my cousin just graduated and he’s a pretty big hunter. He was telling me that most of the people that didn’t know how to shoot did very well on the marksman training, because they didn’t have to unlearn the way they already have been shooting! A girl from Cabot, Arkansas did the best in that class
Congratulations Ethan, thank you for your service🇺🇸
..My biggest regret in life was not enlisting. The only daughter and my momma cried and begged me not to enlist.
His grand parents tried to talk him out of it but we knew he wanted to be a Marine since he was a kid. Very proud of him!!
665 new Marines. It's good to see graduations with male and female companies at the same time again. Graduated 2008 Echo with Papa as our sister Marine graduates.
Watching this just brought back so many memories from my graduation from basic training in a little place about 160 miles north of Paris Island called Ft. Jackson. I remember all the nerves and hoop-la those days that was back in 1987. Congrats Ethan and May the good Lord and “Chesty” look over you for the remainder of your career.
Thanks so much Jamie! It sounds like this is an experience that will stay will us all for the rest of our lives!
You graduated from Ft.Jackson about 2 years before I did. Small world.🙂
I needed this video now that my brother is gonna graduate like in 3 days Im so excited
I'm teary eyed again... Thanks for sharing! GOD Blessed All of those young people, those who continue to serve and those who have served
My fiancé just arrived at Parris island Monday night! Wanted to see what his graduation will look like!! :)))
Congrats Ethan Thanks for sharing your day with us. Wish you all the very best.
Congratulations Ethan! Thank you for your service and thank you to your family for their sacrifice as well!
HOLY CRAP I KNOW YOUR SON TOO I WENT TO BMP WITH HIM
Oh very cool! He is just finishing up MCT and transferring to Virginia tomorrow for MOS. All the best to you!!
@@EECCTravels what's MOS? I'm an old Marine Sgt, 4 years, 5 Oct 73 - 4 Oct 77.
@@acesmith7542 all due respect Sir, I know what MOS stands for, I spent 4 yrs in the Corps 73-77. I meant to ask, what is "HIS" MOS. My tying sucks. By the way I like your dog picture.
@@acesmith7542 no problem, Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt
Thank you for your service!

Congratulations to Ethan! I'm leaving for PI June 26th, two days after graduation and I can't wait. I've wanted to be a marine for almost 11 years now, just like my dad. I can't wait to make him as proud of me as you are of Ethan.
I hope you realize just how proud of you he will be! God bless you on your journey! 🇺🇸💪
I was in 3070 with your son. Time sure does fly.
CONGRATS to Ethan and his entire family!!! I remember when my daughter graduated in 2006 from Air Force BT at Lacklin in San Antonio, very proud and teary eyed mom, I was.
This is a moment that a parent never forgets! So proud!!! And now Colby is strongly considering the Marines as well!
Congratulations to the new marines
Congratulations Ethan
It’s been over 17 years since I graduated and watching the platoon getting dismissed for the final time never gets old

Wow! That must be such a proud moment for the Marine and his family! Thank you for sharing this!!!
It mostly definitely was!
@@EECCTravels I showed this to my 82 y/o father who graduated Parris Island in 1957 and he loved it. He says not too much has changed.
I had tears! Congratulations to Ethan for his accomplishment and to your family for surviving it!!! Big changes have already taken place and there are more to come. Best of luck on your journey! Semper Fi!
My son graduated from Parris Island in August of 2016. He is now stationed at Camp Pendelton and married to a young lady in the Navy. Last month we welcomed our first grandchild. So, proud....
That is so wonderful that your son is doing well and has a beautiful family! Congratulations to you mom / grandma! Sempre Fi!
Ethan. Such a lovely family you have. Had to watch it again , so grateful for your service to us. Thank you for proudly joining the military. Mostly for it because it's The United States Marine Corps!! Both are so proud too, especially me, their mom. Wishing you joy and laughter.
Semper Fi
Thank you very much for your kind words! We are so proud of Ethan!!! He is back at Parris Island now until his leg is fully healed, he can't wait to get to MCT.

I hope that Ethan has a quick recovery. Enjoy every day! Semper Fidelis
My husband is a Marine Vet and knows Parris Island VERY well. 😉 Congrats, Ethan! Thank you for your service. Semper Fi!
It was amazing to visit Parris Island and get a personal insight into military life!
Congratulations to all of you. It took such difficult tasks to earn the title of United States Marine. Real long process, and you made it! Now you know why the commercials say
The Few
The Proud
The Marines...
Every one of you make your parents proud. I remember as if it were yesterday. My first son joined when 9/11 happened, and was on his was way to Parris Island 13 days later. My other child left for Parris Island 2006 when he was old enough .
Such happy, wonderful times and memories. I wish for each of you true love for the Corps and your education for the job you signed for. Semper Fi
This is such a great message, thank you!
Congratulations Ethan! I can’t wait too fulfill my dream of becoming a Marine.
That's wonderful that you have this plan, stick to it! Semper Fi!
I’m 9 and I also wanna be a marine
Ethan congratulations for being a marine
Congrats Ethan. You are a part of The Best this Great Country has to offer. My God Daughter's brother just completed The Crucible two days ago and graduates in two weeks. So proud of him and all of you... and eternally grateful.
Congratulations to him as well!
The families are so 🥲 proud🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️
That was my graduation lol I was 3069, senior drill instructor Sgt. King. The battalion Lt. Col is Lt. Col Halligan
Danny H i just graduated the cycle after you I had Senior Drill Instructor SGT Ruiz and Sgt Dearfield and Sgt Feenie
RIP Ethan Barclay. Marine I went to high school with and trained in the DEP with.
To be clear, not the same Marine as the video, just reminded me of him.
I graduated in 1975. Stayed in until 1984. Made it back to PI for a visit in 2010 with my wife. I was in 2nd Battalion, the barracks right across the street from the parade deck. Back then there was 3 graduations a week. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalion. All on a different day. Had to listen see and hear those graduations every week wishing it was ours. I loved my visit back in 2010. My barracks are still there. Back then us smokers stood at the wash rack out side when we had permission to had a smoke, The wash rack is still there. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper fi. Sgt. White, U.S.M.C.
Thank you for sharing this story! Semper Fi!!
Thanks for the memories. MCRD Parris Island, Oct-Dec 1973, Platoon 395, India Company, 3rd Battalion. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sgt.
That’s incredible. Thank you for sharing this!! Semper Fi!!
I'm not crying you're crying. I need to pull myself together before work geez! Lol 😭😭 Brings back so many fond memories of my son's graduation in 2008 parris Island. Semper Fi 🇱🇷
This is going to be one of those moments that we will never forget! Such proud parent moments!!!
10/18/1996, Platoon 2144, Golf Company..........this never gets old
Thank you for your service! OOHRAH
Congratulations Marine! I graduated in 1969. I was the only one in my platoon to graduate PFC, I noticed 8 to ten in each platoon with a stripe.
Ethan spent 4 years in MCJROTC in hogh school whcih gave him the PFC rank. Thank you for your service.
I did and when I graduated in in 71 from Paris Island you didn’t see that!
Congrats on becoming a Marine Ethan! Very cool to watch a graduation from the stands. lol If they only had video cameras back then! Semper Fi
Semper Fi
Congratulations Ethan, from a Navy veteran CPO.
Thank you for your service!
EECC Travels It was my pleasure, Sir. By the way, I am a native of Baton Rouge but have been away for over 22 years. Presently retired in Ohio. Of course our favorite vacation is cruising. Go figure. I enjoy your channel and I wish all of you the very best always. Dave.
Thank you so much Dave!
That's my family's branch. OORAH!
Didn’t expect my graduation video to be on here thank you🇺🇸 Plt 3065 Honor Platoon💪🏻
Damn, 3064 didn't get it?
Bet you remember that rivalry for Drilling.
Yup
The man who coughed, I felt that 😔
My brother left for bootcamp this week and me and my parents won't see him until February. He will be a future Marine and he is doing bootcamp at Parris Island.
Thank you for this. My son is graduating today from Co K, but no one else is allowed on the island, and we had no way of watching the graduation. I watched your video and pretended he was in one of those groups, just so I could have a sense of what he is experiencing right now, this very hour, as he is graduating.
Congratulations on your Marine graduating!! Semper fidelis...Oohrah!
@@EECCTravels Thanks! Wish I could see him and give him a huge mama hug!
God bless stay safe ✝️🙏✝️🙏
I wore my Dress Blues at my graduation
This video looked like caution tape with all the ads
I watched it live Paris island was the best because my dad is a veterinarian he did all the armed forces and I’ve Ben there for my cousins graduation
Graduated Kilo PLT 3064. I appreciate the video guys.
Congratulations to you! Semper Fi!
@@EECCTravels Thank you, and to you as well!
3064? Did you know a Phillips?
Ask your son, when did Recruits start graduating in modified Dress Blues? Just to let your son know, I was a member of the last Platoon to graduate and be dismissed by our Senior Drill Instructor in 1973 Platoon 395, 3rd Battalion. Semper Fr from and old Marine Sgt 1973 to 1977.
Did you learn graduation uniform history in bootcamp? It changes all the time.
I just got out of Paris island from a school trip to watch graduation
Yes that would have happened when I was in the Marines they would have been sent to Casual Company and graduated when they were fit, that was back in 1969 or discharge
I am now 69
Thank you always. May all the American soldiers be honored.
In Korea💟💟💟
I graduated Platoon 250 July 1970, and don’t remember anyone on crutches, but know the constant marching on concrete during training causes stress fractures on legs. Semper Fi
OOHRAH! 🇺🇸
Way to go Ethan!
Thanks so much Annie!
I was in my DRESS BLUES when I graduated
I just graduated today with Charlie company platoon 1022
Platoon 2062
2nd Battalion
Delta Co.
May 86
It was the best and worst thing I ever experienced in my life
Every Marine tells us that is is something that you will NEVER forget!
It's about time Parris island finally starting wearing blues trousers instead of green for graduation. I never understood why San Diego always wore blue and paris island green when I graduated.
Both vary. I graduated at San Diego in green.
I hope your son or you are safe four years ago for a marine was hell cause well they were sent to die in afghnaistan not all these soldiers made it home Rip to those who didn't make it and I wish the ones who did are safe
This makes me wanna go to boot camp but I’m 9 (almost 10) and have 9-8 years left
lol I only have 5 years
:/
Seemed the marching wasn't as good as normal. Then I timed the cadence and it was closer to 107 that the normal 120. So that is on the Band----not the recruits. Very hard to look sharp maching that slow. To check out a more normal march speed check out; Marines on Parade in Dress Blues.
I was showing my dad the graduation and you got the same name as a Ethan I shall graduate
So dope that you caught the greatest moments of our lives! I was November company 4034!
I am so glad to be able to share this with you all! Congratulations to you!!! Semper Fi!
How long does it take to get on base and what time should family leave to get there?
We stayed nearby in Beaufort so it only took about 10-15 minutes to get where we needed to be on base for family day.
Every time I could not run anymore I thought about my father cheering me on. Yes I have an Eagle Globe and Anchor. Beat Navy Seals at NW securities base. We are hell on wheels.
Even our women totally rock.
Come on Private !
My nephew graduates from there tomorrow!!!!
Congratulations!!OOHRAAH 🇺🇸💪
I wanna be a Marine when I grow up but I'm Australian and im not sure if its called Marins for Australia like is it called something else cause I wanna be Marine but im Australian so please tell me if Australia has Marins or its called something else
Did they get injured and couldn't march?
This was my co I wanna see the whole thing
I was there
Watching their legs is trippy as hell
June 18 to September 14 2001
2nd rct bn
Platoon 2074
Golf company
Seems like forever ago
20:53, I know this is what you looked for.
What's up with all the guys on crutches at the start? Were these recruits that got hurt bit still graduated??
Yes they were injured during the Crucible. Our son fractured his leg but still finished.
Congratulation. what is his mos?
Combat logistics. He is pretty excited about it!
Oh goodness I meant teary eyed😭😭. Okay goodnight 😴
Why do some of them have a PFC rank while others don't?
Think about the Marines who had no one to hug on their graduation day though ;(
@@user-mg4jn8rg8q I think they meant they didn’t have any family members there
Semper Fi! I’m gonna be a marine when I grow up, but that’s gonna be a while. I’m 12 and I’m pretty sure you’ve gotta be 17 to join lol.
@EthanRodgers123 :) Good luck!
Holy crap I was kilo 3089 and we graduated with November 4046 & 4047
I think that people who honorable serve the military should get a degree for all the time they have to sacrifice. We learn a lot especially if we have a certain job. I know you can use your opportunities while in and even after but I just think the military makes you more disciplined and mature.
I 100% agree with that! Some of the jobs are so in-depth you are learning as much as classes in college!
They have opportunities to learn while they serve and earn college credits and after they are done, college tuition is paid for them.
My brother just arrived there the other day. Hopefully they don’t cancel graduation because of this Covid bullshit
