It's cool that you can 2-in-1 systems like this nowadays. If you have a good gaming system, and a decent older other PC, you can still dual PC stream like a BOSS in two cases.
This is my dream set up, two units in one chassis. It's simple it's clean and it doesn't interfere with the hassle of dealing with two sets of peripherals.
I went to my brick and mortar computer store as it's close by they have the same stuff as the website will I was there I realized they had GT 410 yes , next to RTX 2080s
Chris ikr they should've framed them or put them on in a pc with a core 2 duo to show there full power and performance but putting them next to 2080s that's insanely offensive to the card
Is funny how he says you save over solution two when the single big case/PSU costs more than two regular ones, and you usually have to pay extra for the itx form factor
New streamers might find two systems less expensive than one. You can easily stream on 2nd gen i5 processors which complete systems on eBay are only $200. Slap a low end graphics card in so you can also record works fine. Most games will run on that system too so purchasing a nicer graphics card takes you to about $800 for a dual pc stream setup. From there you will upgrade as needed. Most likely the gaming pc first. The nice thing about a two pc setup is that you can stream consoles too with the capture card. You might only need one system if you plan to stream consoles and maybe mobile games.
My current PSU is 11 years old. In 11 years general case design changed 3 times, so to accomodate new parts relying on that design, I had to change my PC case several times since. That being said the PSU is pretty much the ONLY part in this entire dual system you can keep until they change the power delivery standard... IF you buy a good one!
Depending on the motherboard multiple GPUs can be used in the same PC and they aren't "rare" (for a lot of video editing software 2 GPUs are a must-have) so that's covered. CPUs literally have "Cores" which are literal copies of the CPU for it to perform separate tasks, dual-core means your CPU can perform 2 tasks contemporarily 16 Cores means it can perform 16 tasks contemporarily You do understand what this means right.. you can get 2 PCs each with a GPU and an 8 Core CPU and complicate your life ... or just get a motherboard with multiple GPU sockets and a 16 Core CPU and you've literally got the same exact thing if not better because the CPU will probably handle tasks more efficiently if it's within the same unit The only difference is that you're making a CPU ONLY work on x and the other CPU ONLY work on y which is a lot less efficient.. you're pretty much mechanically (with hardware) setting CPU priority levels (which could have been done with software)
Mushroom Pixels what I used to do when I was 12 was cut yards to get a PC back then before the PS4 and Xbox one came out. I still remember that $500 beauty with a GTX 560 and an old Pentium. Ahh those were the days. Anyways if you’re 16 or older, start working even if you’re still in school and all that hard work will pay off
The problem with this setup is cloning your main display to the capture card as a 2nd output, this causes an obscene amount of screen tearing on the stream (you'll see it on the OBS preview on the 2nd PC) the better way is connecting your main monitor via HDMI and using the capture cards HDMI pass-through to your main monitor, this avoids the weird screen tearing but there's a couple downsides to this too, 1. you need a monitor that supports the native resolution and desired refresh rate via HDMI (for 1440p 144hz the monitor needs a HDMI 2.0 port) 2. you wont be able to use G-Sync (currently G-Sync only functions via DisplayPort but I believe they are in the works of changing this)
I rebuilt in my Phanteks Enthoo Evolv for my most recent build. As bad as the airflow is and being such a heavy case I still love the look. I REALLY need to get off my ass and get these front, top and side panels to a local shop that can waterjet some airflow into them.
Nice nice looking system. First time I saw a dual system with both motherboards on the same side, I only saw ones with two separate compartments for each system
The only thing about the streaming items you mentioned...the camera is fine. The mic is where money could have been spent, but again it's fine. You're not doing music production or anything like that requiring better peripherals. I do like the Ryzen 9 you picked. Intel makes sense due to my assumption a streaming mobo is akin to a work station. The only CPU that would be better than Intel for streaming would be a Thread Ripper, but on that build Idk if you could cool it adequately lol. Good build and LOVE Phanteks!
Bro, dont take this personally but this guide is wrong. I was in same situation, almost same parts etc [same case, love it] The issue is that 4K capture cards need Nvidia GPU to encode in 4K, they need at least GTX1060 minimum to use its NVENC if you want to capture or stream 4K or 4K+HDR or 1440p high FPS. The streaming system that you made just for capture, doesn't have a GPU, so you are limited to FHD, using either CPU to encode video or Intel QuickSync. If you only care about FHD streaming and you dont do any 4K capture, you can get any external capture cards that have on board encoding and use them on One PC without using any system resources or building second PC. Or you if your streaming PC is Intel based you can use Intel quicksync to encode video, which wont affect your gameplay FPS and wont take any system resources. [This is till for FHD streaming] The dual system setup you created doesn't use all its parts to maximum benefit, the 4K60 Pro capture card can capture in 4K+HDR, but in a system without NVidia GPU [the requirements on Elgato page says Minimum "Nvidia 10XX or Better" [On avermedia it outright says Minimum GTX1060]] you cant capture in 4K or 4K/HDR especially
One thing I learned from wanting to avoid cable clutter is that you can use Logitech Wireless Keyboard and mouse to share both between up to three computers, their LightSpeed technology is quite efficient and fast. You can avoid using a KVM and their Logitech Options software is free and Works quite well. (Not Sponsored BTW)
There are few moments in a man's life where it's acceptable to shed a tear. A well cooked slab of meat, the outdoors atop a mountain, a fallen friend and a well built pc.
I think it would also benefit you to reduce the cable arc in the back of the pc by zip tying them to some kind of bracket guide that prevents the cords from being stressed downward. Not critical but may help with efficiency and cable life.
That case is freakin' sweet, but I'm not building a dual system in mine. Instead I'm building a dual loop custom water cooled system. Only problem I'm getting so far is that the cable cover in the back that flips up to let you know your cables fit is not so custom cable friendly so far. I got to power 2 Strix 2080 TIs, so 4 of those 8 pin cables AND the 24 pin have to go through that plate. . . I can barely squish it in with more effort than I like. I would rout some through the upper indention, but those are being occupied by a quad sata cable and a double Molex cable for my pumps, among other things. Hope I can work all that out in the end. The rad support for this case is also INSANE. I'm cramming a thick 480 rad in the front for the CPU and VRMs, and then a 360 on the bottom and 240 on top for my GPUs. Pump on bottom where you put your Intel capture system and a pump in the front. You said that case is relatively spacious as opposed to cramped for your build. . . remains to be seen for mine. So far so good though, I have high hopes. My first custom waterloop build probably should not be a dive into one of the most difficult to wire and loop builds, but YOLO. Nice looking build you got there though, and a very practical one too. I honestly like that you use the AMD system for gaming and editing and put the Intel one for capture. Gaming performance is so close together it doesn't matter all that much, so the fact that your AMD system can edit faster is a winning factor for the way you set up. I wouldn't switch a thing even if I had the option to get a small MoBo for AMD and ATX for Intel. Awesome vid Kyle. Cheers!
Started getting my parts in for my 719 build today. Starting with one system with dual loops and eventually throwing the 2nd system in the bottom for streaming.
I've got the setup in the Azza pyramid that was on your twitch a couple weeks ago. I love how it looks but it's either all 4 sides on and it runs hot, or take a panel out and it gets dirty too quick

Oh my God. That dual streaming system is so beautiful. I'm in love. Kyle, this system is one of your best builds ever.
Me after reading title: You're not wrong tho
Happy 1000 videos kyle
This is my dream set up, two units in one chassis. It's simple it's clean and it doesn't interfere with the hassle of dealing with two sets of peripherals.
"Today, on because-i-can, we're building something we'll be ripping apart this afternoon..."
I went to my brick and mortar computer store as it's close by they have the same stuff as the website will I was there I realized they had GT 410 yes , next to RTX 2080s
Why would they want the godly GT 410's next to RTX cards
Daaas hot ah das hot
Chris ikr they should've framed them or put them on in a pc with a core 2 duo to show there full power and performance but putting them next to 2080s that's insanely offensive to the card
Is funny how he says you save over solution two when the single big case/PSU costs more than two regular ones, and you usually have to pay extra for the itx form factor
Ok if there's anything I'll ever gain from your videos it's the Sharemouse application. That has made my life so much better!!
Just built a system in the Luxe 2 last week. Best case I ever built in. And not even that expensive.
Why use a capture card when you can just use obs NDI?
Probably to be able to stream 4k in the future? Otherwise no reason to build gaming pc to play in 4k but stream in 1080.
He doesn't even use the capture card! LOL.
I wonder the same thing, waste of money buying an capture card?
@@RNG-999 didn't he go from the ZOTAC to the capture card to the stream monitor?

The things I would do to have that system in my house. My case doesn't have any side panels RIP
Same, i wonder how much it cost. Definetly outside a college budget
Such an epic build. My Lux 2 is sitting in the garage, just waiting for more parts. Lol. Great build nonetheless!
Like before watching the video.Yes, that's how we do it.
Plz dont do linus thumbnails bro, I love the simplicity and I am so done with surprised faces looking at some jpg
If you watched Linus's video on this subject, the goofy faces brings in more views. They all know its dumb, but views are views.
@@RoflCopter726 yeah that came in mind, I am just sad the dumb thumbnail thing took another good creator
Single power supply? That's a single point of failure.
CPUs literally have "Cores" which are literal copies of the CPU for it to perform separate tasks, dual-core means your CPU can perform 2 tasks contemporarily 16 Cores means it can perform 16 tasks contemporarily
You do understand what this means right.. you can get 2 PCs each with a GPU and an 8 Core CPU and complicate your life ... or just get a motherboard with multiple GPU sockets and a 16 Core CPU and you've literally got the same exact thing if not better because the CPU will probably handle tasks more efficiently if it's within the same unit
The only difference is that you're making a CPU ONLY work on x and the other CPU ONLY work on y which is a lot less efficient.. you're pretty much mechanically (with hardware) setting CPU priority levels (which could have been done with software)
Holy shit that build looks beautiful!!!

I feel you there. But I'm building my pc around December this year

Mushroom Pixels what I used to do when I was 12 was cut yards to get a PC back then before the PS4 and Xbox one came out. I still remember that $500 beauty with a GTX 560 and an old Pentium. Ahh those were the days. Anyways if you’re 16 or older, start working even if you’re still in school and all that hard work will pay off
The problem with this setup is cloning your main display to the capture card as a 2nd output, this causes an obscene amount of screen tearing on the stream (you'll see it on the OBS preview on the 2nd PC) the better way is connecting your main monitor via HDMI and using the capture cards HDMI pass-through to your main monitor, this avoids the weird screen tearing but there's a couple downsides to this too, 1. you need a monitor that supports the native resolution and desired refresh rate via HDMI (for 1440p 144hz the monitor needs a HDMI 2.0 port) 2. you wont be able to use G-Sync (currently G-Sync only functions via DisplayPort but I believe they are in the works of changing this)
cant stress it enough that pc is just OMG im a huge fan of what you did that pc looks astounding!!!! one day ill get a 2080ti haha

2 pcs is better then 1
Hmm yes the floor is still made out of floor
The only thing about the streaming items you mentioned...the camera is fine. The mic is where money could have been spent, but again it's fine. You're not doing music production or anything like that requiring better peripherals. I do like the Ryzen 9 you picked. Intel makes sense due to my assumption a streaming mobo is akin to a work station. The only CPU that would be better than Intel for streaming would be a Thread Ripper, but on that build Idk if you could cool it adequately lol. Good build and LOVE Phanteks!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!
Bro, dont take this personally but this guide is wrong.
I was in same situation, almost same parts etc [same case, love it]
The issue is that 4K capture cards need Nvidia GPU to encode in 4K, they need at least GTX1060 minimum to use its NVENC if you want to capture or stream 4K or 4K+HDR or 1440p high FPS.
[This is till for FHD streaming]
The dual system setup you created doesn't use all its parts to maximum benefit, the 4K60 Pro capture card can capture in 4K+HDR, but in a system without NVidia GPU [the requirements on Elgato page says Minimum "Nvidia 10XX or Better" [On avermedia it outright says Minimum GTX1060]] you cant capture in 4K or 4K/HDR especially
This is the coolerst PC I ever seen, it looks like a city at night.
this is the perfect amount of rgb and i love the blackout look of the case
I love how it looks but it's either all 4 sides on and it runs hot, or take a panel out and it gets dirty too quick
this build is awesome!
I'm making a modded dual system PC (but with three motherboards) so this video was very informative
I have six of those PcCooler fans in my system. The are quiet, well built and look great.
