Hello, i've recently got into grillin during quarantine and I've stumbled across your videos trying to further my knowledge. I'm confident I will be an expert at the grill with the lessons you have passed to me. Thank you very much
I've been grilling on a gas grill for two years now, and for my birthday I finally got a little charcoal grill. I smoked chicken thighs for my first meal on it and I used your minion method for the charcoal! Since I've watched about all your videos and can't wait to try some of your recipes
It's definitely different to not hear that sizzle when you placed them on at first! I'm going to try this method the next time I grill up some sirloin steaks. Thanks again for sharing your grill wisdom.
I always love that sound! I had my microphone turned around so I could talk into it and I think that may have muted it down a little 😬. I have not tried those rubs you mentioned in your other comment but may do so soon. I appreciate you watching!
This is a good technique for steak. I've been doing them like that for a while now. Sometimes I'll start a little fire in my charcoal chimney and place a spare grate on top of that for a really intense and fast sear.
Far and away my favorite cooking channel. I've been operating a little tabletop propane grill while I'm in school, but you've convinced me I need a charcoal grill in the future.
i usually do just like you say most people do, just the other way. but this is an interesting way to try this weekend maybe. usually just trim the horns wipe its ass and run it through a warm room and that good nuff. lol but i usually just use sea salt and black pepper, people need to remember that most of the salt you use will cook off, and some hickory, cherry or mesquite chips re good too good job Ryan.
Looks good. I use coarse kosher salt both sides before let it set for a few minutes. I always like a steak with a bone favorite is porter house or t- bone but it s all good when grilled.
I use lawreys garlic salt on just about anything I grill. I've never tried this method before but you've definitely peaked my interest and I will be trying this method out this weekend. I will let you know how my results came out. Thanks for the video Ryan and I hope you and your family stay safe
I use Guga rub ( salt , garlic powder ) or how to bbq right his AP rub which is on amazon killer hogs AP rub , great cook enjoy the channel appreciate the camera work too
I like to soak my steaks in pineapple before seasoning. Take freshly sliced pineapple, throw into a blender and make it like a thick juice, throw steaks in zip-loc bags with the pineapple juice and let set in fridge for 25-30, rinse off completely, then season. They come out very tender.
Great video! I reverse sear steaks on my smoker for around a hour, then to the Weber. Perfect every time. I use Killer Hogs AP and Montreal Steak to season.
Great video! Reverse sear is the only way I cook steaks these days. Another way I've been doing it, is start the steaks in an oven until they're 120, while you get your grill rip roaring hot outside. That way once the steaks are ready to go out the oven your grill is white hot and instantly ready for the transfer. I'm new to RUclips but hope to film my Reverse Sear method soon. I just hit subscribe so I'm looking forward to the rest of your videos.
@@KitchenAlpha Man, weird enough but I just saw a picture on Facebook, and I wont post your employment on here but, but I saw you received a donation and I was like, WOW, that guy looks familiar. Sure enough I believe it was you lol. I live not too far off lol

Yes give it a shot Dave! Have a blessed weekend and may God bless you brother!
Always enjoy your videos and the simplicity of them! Nice work Ryan!
Thanks brother!
Nice job. Finally a video where someone does not touch a spice/condiment bottle after touching raw meat, chicken or pork.
Always enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment! Hope you'll stay tuned for more videos Jeffrey!
good work mate looks so yummy
Thank you very much!

Thanks for watching Kevin! Bone in meat definitely has great flavor!
That is a great reverse sear. I'll bet those steaks tasted great. Thank you.
Thank you Jon!

I'm gonna try some of Malcolm's rubs. I'm a big fan of his channel. My wife helps me with the camera work. Thank you!
Another great video, always hungry after I watch
Thanks brother!
How much charcoal did you put in at the start? Great video once again. Dan from Ireland.
About 1/4th of a chimney full. Doesn't take too much to get up to 250ish.
@@KitchenAlpha Thank you!
Very nice steaks. I use this same method and they're perfect every time. On the slow cook I toss in a chunk of cherry wood.
I like the smell of the smoke with cherry wood. Will have to try that with a steak soon!
Good looking steaks! I season mine much like yours with garlic, salt, and pepper.. but I also use onion powder on mine.
Onion powder sounds good! Thanks Jeffrey!
Thanks for the vid Ryan. Yet to try it as well but won’t be too far into the future I’m sure.
Thank you for watching! I'll definitely be using this method in the future.
Hey! You’re uploading again. Awesome video, I’m on a different account than usual.
Yes started back a few weeks ago. Hopefully cam upload in a regular basis going forward!
Kitchen Alpha awesome
Reverse sear is definitely the way to go brother looks great!
Yes I like it! Thank you!

Never tried that but sounds interesting!
I have made it a habit of giving the meat a quarter turn to get those cross marks. Do you ever do that or skip it altogether?
I like to do grill marks sometimes but usually do an all over sear. Sometimes I attempt grill marks and still do an all over sear lol
Those look good! I really like the Traeger brand beef rubs. Have you ever tried them?
My real name is also Leah. You don't see our name all that often!
Looks good
Thank you!
Great video! I reverse sear steaks on my smoker for around a hour, then to the Weber. Perfect every time. I use Killer Hogs AP and Montreal Steak to season.
I need to try some of those Killer Hogs products. I'm a huge fan of Malcom and love his channel!

Sounds like you cook an awesome steak! Thanks for the sub!
What cut of meat was that?? Looks like rump but you never said.
Those are sirloins! I love about every cut but we eat a lot of those.
My apologies you did mention it at the start.
No problem!
Here's a thought, imagine if all your subscribers turned up in Kentucky and had a all day cookout and you could judge the winner😄
It would be a great feast! Sounds like a good idea!!
How about instead... we all show up and he cooks for us! I just found this channel and I've been drooling for the last half an hour!
Man I cant help but ask, are you from Kentucky? Lol
Yes sir!
