Great job comparing them, but my biggest question is what does it look like 6 months or years after exposure to the elements. Hopefully, there will be a follow-up video.
@@cruzzindodge thanks man. Yeah I’m in love with that truck. Haven’t got to put a wrench on it yet, but will have room in the shop this summer to pull it in. I’ve got a 440 waiting on it.
Can u give us a written follow up for now it's been 4 months and I need to get some stuff done did the zep hold it's shine or is it gone now? Thanks buddy
Is that Zep a finish or sealer? There's a big difference. Sealer doesn't usually have a sheen. As a guy that works on flooring, that Zep floor finish generally gets about 4 coats on a floor, every coat increases the sheen. This is the first I've heard of someone using it on vehicles. Hard to say how the UV would affect it.
I'm doing a bit of RUclips research and found your video. It would be great if you added to your description or comments, what products you used for this experiment. I'm interested in knowing. 😊 Thanks and have a great day!
Very nice work !!! I will be doing my S15 shortly - then probably going over my 57 Beetle if i like the look. I like the Pappys - bur the price - ooo !!!! I guess it beats spraying it all.
K.... Tried the ZEP on an old faded car and it looked great the first day, the 2nd day, the third day, then it rained and it looked like a leopard with spots all over it. The day after the rain I washed it and no water beading at all, zero!. So it actually looks twice as bad now as before I did it. Now I have to spend 25 for the zep stripper and hope that doesnt destroy the paint.
Yep, not too different at all. It should hold up better though. At the 1 year mark I am going to do a follow up video on these test panels and see how they are looking.
@MrJustinWheeler I only say that because it reminds me of something lazy people would do to their boots in the military instead of polishing them. They had 'sham shine' which was essentially mop'n glow floor wax for your boots. Haha Interested in a follow up!
@@kornbreadmafia pretty good. Still very happy with it. There are a couple spots that look like they might be flaking, but i need to take a closer look. I’ll post a follow up video soon.
@@MrJustinWheeler thanks. Did you figure a way to remove the streaks? Gonna use this on the hood and roof of my 11’ ppv the Miami sun has killed the clear lol
@@kornbreadmafia I did not fully remove the streaks, but I didn’t try very hard. In the places where I took my time and applied it correctly, there are no streaks. So it’s possible to apply it in a smooth finish. I think if you’re just doing a hood in the shade, you could get good results.

Yessir, follow up guaranteed. It's holding up pretty good. But I need to give it a good wash and do a close inspection. That's coming.
Great video, i am surprised at how clean the floor polish looks.
Love the new super glossy clear coat from poppy’s patina is fire 🔥.
They have a new super gloss??
@@MrJustinWheeler yes sir. I did my patina dually with the new super glossy clear coat it looks like is wet. Love it man

@@motavice3499 I sprayed the clear coat
I used on my 40 foot RV some of that high gloss paver sealer . works well , rain runs right off , but may need to redo every year
You can also get a high gloss in the zep if you want a similar look to the other two for cheaper
I think if your paying that much you should buy a acrylic urethane clear 2 part top coat an roll it on with a moll hair roller.
If you wet sand the surface to smooth it out then apply poppys the finish comes out superb 👌
Thanks for the pointer. I have a couple other rigs that need the treatment. I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!

Really good video thank you, I would like to see a comparison of the VGG gloss and matt finshes as ai can not seem to find any info of the matt
I'd like to see how they all stack up over time. I have used linseed oil and woke up the next day to a dull pickup

I was pretty impressed. Can’t wait to see if it brings the ole crusty RX8 back to life.
Poppyspatina is 2 part i would expect it to last longer. They offer different shines also.

Being a solvent, Zep does no damage to the paint?

The Zep leaves a more realistic patina at a quarter of the cost. Win/Win/Win!

Does the Zep hold up outdoors or is it for indoors only?
