Thanks! A fully upgraded stun gun really helps a lot. You could also take a look at my wrench/grenades run. It features a few new tricks I've learned since this video. It's a no damage playthrough too, but only on hard difficulty (didn't want to hit these typhons for an eternity).
Wait for my wrench only no damage run ;) No damage isn't that difficult as soon as you upgrade your stun gun and know how to skip the nightmare encounters. And you need some luck with Kaspar's location.
10:30 hold the fuck up. How did I not know that was a thing. Here I thought I’d discovered all secret passages and I miss a pretty obvious one lol. Gonna have to do another playthrough and see what else I missed
For a long time I have missed a secret passage in Hardware Labs. Jump on the grav shafts, turn left and you'll see a maintenance access panel that will lead to a suit chipset.
See, all video game playthroughs should be like this one. It's so much better when it's done by someone who knows what they're doing lol I also never considered leverage to be a worthwhile NM upgrade until I watched this. That damage you get throwing lev III objects at stunned typhon is insane! Prey really is an awesome game.
Thanks! I'll have a new version with all survival mods enabled, more upgrades, more story, better dancing and many small improvements online soon! Leverage III is indeed useful, but as you mentioned: a stunned enemy is weak to all kind of attacks. So my first advice would always be to upgrade the stun gun and use it.
Where's the enjoyment in seeing someone rush through a game? I think it's fine in places where it makes sense, i.e. speedruns, specific level types, etc, but otherwise...no.
@@uchenna127 that's a rather philosophical question of how you approach games: I love fast and efficient gameplay that is perfectly executed. In that sense this playthrough is maybe more educational than entertaining (I still find it entertaining). That means you could learn some strategies on how to get through Prey 2017 easily (where to use stealth or grenades, how to avoid nightmare encounters or which neuromods are most useful). If you want, you can come back to this channel in about a month. My new playthrough should be finished by then. It will contain the full narrative and (almost) all side missions/audio logs. And thanks for sharing your view!
@JayAlred Oh I know lol Fully upgraded DSG is the most versatile and most useful weapon in the game, change my mind. I hesitate to use the word "best", because this game did a decent job giving all weapons their own unique "niches" where they excelled better than any of the others. And even though the DSG's use is in all but a couple of scenarios complimentary in nature, it still has a larger "niche" than any other weapon. Looking forward to your future videos bro, keep 'em coming 👍
@Uchenna Nothing more frustrating or boring than watching someone take hours upon hours trying to figure out how to "win" at a video game. I had already played this game a few times prior to watching this video, so I went into watching it moreso with the desire to see things that another player had learned that I may have missed or failed to realize. So the way I see it, this playthrough isn't rushed at all. Its done accurately and precisely, just the way it needs to be, and exactly the way it should be 🤷♂️
Never knew about the hidey hole under Morgans Couch XD, This is an amazing preythough champ you seem to know where all the phantom are at all times, do they always spawn in the same location? or just reflexes and environmental clues?
The phantoms and especially mimics are not always at the same location. But after enough playthroughs, you know what to look for. So yes, enviromental clues, sounds and some luck with rng.
For some reason I began to watch this for the 10th time while finally started my second run. I found myself often too scared to make progress, so I’m just staying at the bright and warm lobby now. But you played it like you were playing a complete different game, I would really like to know how can you stay so fearless (and even keep coming back for fun)surrounding by terrifying cold blood space creatures on a slowly corrupting space ship all by yourself😢and did you feel scared when first played it?

Outstanding run. Very skillsy! A few questions: - when you got to the shuttle bay, the ramp to the shuttle door had already been extended. How did you make this happen? - how did you know where the Tech Officer would be? Or is it RNG? - when you entered the Arboretum from outside, the Stop Dahl counter suddenly appeared, showing only 1m 58secs. Does this always happen, or did you cut the sequence short? Cheers.
Great questions! Here are the answers: -As you can imagine, I didn't play the game blind or first time, so I knew that the ramp had to be extended later. I went to the shuttle bay after leaving life support (1:15:25 to 1:17:20). Dahl's bots haven't spawned at this point. Saves time and makes the no damage objective way easier. -If you look closely at 1:29:48, you can see the objective marker on the left. That's how you know where the Tech Officer is (Hardware Labs). And yes, it is RNG (the location will be determined after leaving the Arboretum). -If you go after the Tech Officer first, you'll have 2 Minutes to save Alex after entering the Arboretum. The counter starts with two minutes at 1:32:23.

Afterwards I'll take a look at it, but I think I'll need at least a few grenades and the gloo gun to make that work.
