That clio is old school and easy repair as ubiquitous parts and simple to do. I am a fan of older easy fix cars. In Spain and Portugal there are 1000s of these older cars. Theres a reason cheap to fix and durable in reliability and longevity. Seats and dashes wear but replacements for all parts easy. Lot of European breakers on e bay now with virtually most parts for bikes and cars imo. That will be a great bangernomics little car
I had a Y reg Clio 1.2 16v with a sunroof which was sealed shut by the owner before me, but I accidentally opened it one afternoon and then mold started on the rear seats. Loved the gear knob 🤣🤣. Really glad you looked after Adrian, by giving him the parts cheaply and taking £200 for it. Love your videos and content. Just need to see you, Matt, Lee and Chops garage buy each other a car to sell on the forecourt or some other form of content
Enjoyed that one sir, laughed at the vibrating knob. Could have been a selling point. 😆 I thought your subscriber numbers would have gone up faster. You are worth a lot more viewers. All the best.
Nice one joe, sure it will be a great little car when hes done it. Iv had a couple of these and theyre great little cars to drive. The shaky gearknob is probably the rear gearbox mount they always fail 😊
That selector you featured is what Renault refer to as a 'stick shaker' and is a warning of an imminent stall; best to point the nose down to pick up speed.
Has this done 139000 miles? I had one of these for a while - a light blue Dynamique Billabong back in 2004, same engine as this middle-of-the-range Expression. The 1.2 16V could do with a 6th gear as it's busy on the motorway. In 5th gear, 70 mph is 3850 rpm. Actually they are reliable if well-taken-care-of. There's still quite a lot of them around. The steering wheel rims feel a bit too big though.
I've always kept every invoice and every receipt for everything I've ever had on any of my cars even if it's a 1.20£ brake light bulb or replacement dust caps, it amazes me the amount of customers who ring up that can't remember what service they had last year or don't know when their mot is due because they keep no record n have no idea where their paperwork or service book is
This little Clio has had a hard life. I’m sure it will make a great car once it’s been repaired. Good for you Joe, letting your mechanic have it at cost price, and allowing him to buy the parts cheaply❤.
Think I'd rather set up a crowdfunder for Adrian to get something a little more reliable and safer for his grandchildren... Quality video though Joe.. Honest to the last core 👍
@ShiftingMetal it just worse today. I took the audi tt 3.2 for a run ready for sale. Heard a bang underneath. Carried on driving. Then got 'low oil pressure' stopped and found out I've lost my sump lol. Luckily engine sounded fine so might be lucky.
Hi Joe. I think I have seen worse lol. It's rough but it would get someone to Work. Or a first car for a bad driver. 175k or 68k. I can definately say that you never fail to impress me 😅. One day its a Jaguar and the next day its a £150 Clio. Your Hillarious Joe. This is why I love your Channel. Very funny lol. Keep up the good work 😅😅 🇨🇮🇨🇮
What a Boss,,,, That,s what you are,,, But i bet , to your workforce,,, your a mate,,, . keep it up, a like from me,,, as every week,, Trev from the Philippines,,,, ex pat
Had a 320D one time, ended up paying 1k for it off trade although worth much more. Reason, all the windows had been siliconed shut as the motors had failed and they decided it was cheaper, it was a mechanic that owned it who sold it to trade too 😂 Was lovely until summer came, off it went then as it was like being sealed in a iron tank 😂

Good man for letting him have it at cost,i thought that was thing to do when you said he was inteested in it,sometimes it is not about the money...

Fair play to you for being generous. Reckon it’s haunted though with that gearstick

Some say the gear knob went to audition for a part in the exorcist but the priest drove it away
Love the fast paced editing on this one. Great content, certainly better than that car. 🤣
Thanks Craig!
