I have found Toyota's lane keep assist to ping pong me within a lane. Also, the dynamic range cruise control can brake too late and thus do hard last minute braking. How does the Comma 2 compare in this regard?
It stays centered very well especially on straight lanes. Always be aware during corners and higher speeds. It seems to stop and go well. But there is a lag if the cars in front do emergency braking so yes you have to be aware at all times. Especially during high traffic use. Again I have the TSS first version so the newer cars should be better with the TSS 2.0.
@@DIYBIGMAN Seems like the biggest limitation of OpenPilot right now is there on purpose. They made the software in a way that it doesn't do anything abrupt so that the human can easily react in time. That's why it wants you to take over if there's too big of a turn even though it can handle that turn no problem and that's probably why you have that "lag" as well.
Did you ever try disconnecting your DSU so comma can control your gas and breaking? Over all do think it’s worth getting a Comma 3 if you can’t find C2
So i’m confused, after you disconnected it Comma didn’t control your gas and breaking? Sorry for all the questions Discord does not have a lot of 2017 Prius prime people to talk too…
@@Maginnes2010 no matter if it’s connected to the DSU or not it’s going to control your gas and breaking. But I found for it not to be as smooth when I disconnected the DSU.
If traffic is not a complete stop it works OK. But if there is a complete stop it will stop completely and you will have to step on the accelerator to go again. I would give it a 6 out of 10 in stop and go traffic
Beautiful demonstration. Exactly what I was looking for. Also, respect to the mask.
"Respect the mask", lmfao. Right...
