Thanks for the good job of filling in some blanks for me. I have wondered about, but haven't taken the time to look into, how a genome could be sequenced and you mention that it is cut up ( at ~ 4:20) and then the pieces are evaluated for overlap to fit them into a complete sequence.

I work at Stowers, and it was a few of our investigators that helped with this project!! :)

Good job buddy. Your videos are helpful. Please can you complete the RNA sequence analysis tutorials you started earlier. Like further steps in aligning fastq files and differentail gene expression analysis. It will be helpful for some of us here that is finding our fit on RNA sequence analysis. Thanks

Thank you, I’ll try. Time is very short at the moment!

During my life ive learned something that is harder to achieve and the small(limited data) can be the most important

What are the types of studies which can be done on heterochromatin? Is there a point in replicating old studies on human genome on T2T-CHM13?

Good question - I don’t know! I think most interest is in euchromatin but there is some interest in heterochromatin, I know don’t know why exactly. Probably to understand the function of all the genome

I think one reason I m very much interested with that heterochromatin Region is with aging, several mice studies shows that we age, we tend to see changes in our epigenome landscape, I.e some parts of the genome might tend to loose their heterochromatization as we age.

I don't understand why your video doesnt have more views. I keep reminding myself everyone has their particularly interest's. Great work sir
Here's a joke I just made up. Why don't we call people by their chromosomes? Xy or yy. That would stop all this 64 genders nonsense

I thought the original project sequenced all the genes, but not the whole DNA. A lot of our DNA is not genes.

That’s right, most of our DNA apparently doesn’t do anything, very interesting
