I saw these guys a few days after their performance in Virginia. They were doing a parade in front of the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. They put on a great show and I got to talk with one of their generals (4 stars no less) and he was a mountain of a man! I had the pleasure to shake his hand and he just about broke me! Much respect from a Brit in the U.S. 🇬🇧🇳🇴🇺🇸
4 stars? So either Crown Prince Haakon, King Harald or the Chief of the Denfse(which at the time was an admiral). Bring it down to 3 stars and you have a much more believable Captain or Colonel
3dartistguy your lucky, my dad was in the kings guard in norway and music corp back in the mid to late 80's. (Aprox 86-87-88). Also first cousin was and also alot of my friends but they didnt play anything. Norwegian guy here. Are your family from norway since you made them something?
it really as the the quilt i made and gave tot hem. I started it back in 2013 and finally finished it five years later. I was also a big fan, i followed them around everywhere, even driving up to the Marine Corps museum 2.5 hours from my home to see them again before they returned to Norway. you can see the quilt i made under my facebook page under Topher Krieg
Fantastic performance, but so disappointingly filmed. The entire point of drill is the symmetry of a large group, and here we constantly get close-ups of three or four people at a time, which rather undermines the pleasure of watching them. To say nothing of the fact that the sound recorder evidently wasn't working that day... Oh well, still a great drill, and hopefully next time the technical side of things will work better!

Or it could have been Odin Johannessen. The Chief of Army at the time and a Major general (2-stars). He was indeed present at the event.
