It's been a week since the last VLOG. We are in the throws of getting Lemonade ready for sale and preparing for our Morocco trip. We did not plan for the week between episodes. Hopefully, things will slow down and we will be back to several times a week. Thanks for your support and don't forget to hit the notification button so that you can hear exactly when the next episode comes out. Have a great week!
I am of Dutch descent and growing up in Holland, Michigan we would attend the tulip festival every year. At the parade they would dress up like this and throw clogs to the crowd. I have always wanted a pair since then. They are what my grandmother wore as a peasant in rural Holland.
The wooden shoes were interesting. Definitely not for everyone, but Jessica did buy a pair. She thinks it will improve her posture, She has yet to wear them, but I'm sure that day will soon come.
Thanks Mikel. We are trying to get caught up, probably next week. It sure was an adventure. We love to make things, even better if we can eat them after. Ha.
So much fun. Brought back fond memories of our stop over at a family owned clog shop just across the river from Kinderdijk decades ago. Just wondered in and came away with an appreciation (plus a couple of pairs) of the detail that does into making wooden shoes. Alas no costumes or cheese involved. Got to side with Avalon on the cheese thing. Not a fan unless it adorns a nice hot pizza.
I told her if she said that out loud again we were kicking her out of Lemonade. Ha! She laughed and said it again. How fun you have similar memories, I really hope the kids bring these along with them for years to come as well.
@@WorldTowning Do not worry. Who is these days unless you are a tree logger or similar job. Besides it is said that women are the weaker sex. So let it be but only when it suits us. Mind you that Dutch guy said most of the clogs nowadays are made by machine. It was a great video. Thanks and all the best.
@@WorldTowning Hoorn is delightful and charming. One of my favourites there. But I would not like to live in The Netherlands - no mountains. Switzerland is the place for me - besides we have great cheese, bread and generally very good food here. Plus four great seasons.

"throw clogs to the crowd?" That sounds lethal! XD
So glad you got to visit this place, you delved a lot deeper than we did; your costumes were fab!
Thanks for the tip! It was so much fun and we would not have found it without you. xoxo
A week seems like forever after a summer of daily vlogs. Missed you guys 😀
It's been a super busy week. We are a few episodes behind. Next one is out last one in Netherlands.

near Amsterdam is very nice.

OMG! It was so hard! But, loads of fun.
What a fun day in Volendam 😀
So much fun!!!!
Awesome!!!
Thanks.
Oh noo, I live in Edam (the cheese town next to Volendam). I didn’t know you went there ):
Darn. We were there for two days. Loved it!
kooool,this video will rock!
Thanks. It was really fun to experience and I even bought some clogs!!!
All I could think about was when is the blue outfit coming on as all I saw was smurf with those female hats😊🙃😆
Ha, we did look a bit like smurfs. Largo loves smurfs so that might have been fun for him.
#worldcheesing
This video was so funny!
Thanks, it was so much fun to make. Another profession we know is not for us. Ha
Come to my house in Belguim plzz!!
Darn, we are already south of you. We love pizza.
Does Avalon have some kind of cheesiephobic regressive genes or something ?
HA! Love it. No - She does like her cheese, but she's just not as fanatical as the rest of us. There's always one off person in the bunch. 😋
Jessica, do you realize that they don't eat cheese in Asia?
Jessica covers her ears and says, "no, no, no!" Ha! I may need to start an import business.
