    Worked great! I have HP Officejet Pro 6978 and it is similar to your printer in the video. My black ink was having a problem printing without fading out on several lines per page. I would run the 'cleaning printhead' function for level 2 or 3, but only 1 or 2 pages would print fine. Then I would have to rerun the 'cleaning printhead' function again. This went on for several days. I was about to buy another printer, but I ran across your video. After using your product as shown, my black ink is printing perfect. I did not have any new ink, so I just inserted my existing black ink which was about half full, thankfully, the issue is resolved!

    So I almost gave up. I had tried how he did it in the video numerous times with no luck. Figured, I am not going to ruin the printer if I switch to the other attachment and use the bottle. I heated it up hot, and used a lot of pressure to push the solution through the printerhead. Cleaned the printheads once and it works good as new. Thank you!

    Well, it's been about a month, and I have since cleaned the printheads oh maybe 50 more times to no avail! Because of that, I've wasted 2 full sets of ink cartridges (8 cartridges total) and STILL the blue ink just doesn't seem to work. It's weird bec when I weigh either of the partially used blue cartridges, they weigh almost the same as an unopened blue cartridge. So, unfortunately, even though all the ink cartridges are full and installed the printer doesn't seem to detect any blue ink left & keeps trying to make me add a new cartridge. I'm surprised that HP Instant Ink keeps sending me so many cartridges and hasn't tried to bill me an extra fee because I have used up (wasted) so many cartridges. Also, it seems that all this cleaning fluid has negatively affected the black printhead because now every time the cleaning printhead report prints, the black is streaky!!!

      If you don't feel confident that the cleaning will work, it may be time to upgrade to a new printer.

    My printer is doing weird things with the ink. I have brand new HP ink in and did the cleaning. My main issue is that my blue is not coming through. I ran the clean printhead several times and at times there will be some blue and then after 3+ printhead cleanings (because I still wasn't getting a full block of blue) I don't get any blue at all.

    • @BestPrinters

  • @iserod2206

    Perhaps I waited too long as I'd been without the ability to print blue and therefore no colors for almost a year. Finally decided to try this remedy before buying a new printer. Unfortunately even after 2 cleaning attempts and running numerous Clean Printhead cycles, the blue doesn't respond. The blue ink cartridge is new, actually all are new since I just got my replacement pack mailed.
    So again the blue doesn't even show up at all. How much fluid per cycle do i squirt in there? How long do you wait between when you have to do an extreme clean? Thank you.

    • @BestPrinters
      @BestPrinters  7 месяцев назад +1

      At this point what you wanna do is dilute the cleaning fluid with 50% water. That way you can extend the amount of cleaning fluid you have. And you will also want to warm up the fluid over hot stove and apply that warmed up fluid and you're going to apply the fluid to the blue nozzle gently and slowly until there's there's a break in the clog. Please reply in a separate comment if you would like for me to see the comment. Thank you.

    Questions
    Do I need to wait 24 hours after cleaning before powering the printer back up? Some videos say yes, others don’t.
    If the printhead itself, after cleaning, has no color on it (it appears light tan), does that an indication that this printhead is clean?
    I’m using the Best cleaning kit you recommended. What are the accessories in the Best cleaning kit for.
    Thanks for your response

    • @BestPrinters
      @BestPrinters  9 месяцев назад

      Yes wait 24hrs, the accessories should make it easier to connect to the ink nozzles. You may need to use some with the mod you have. You may notice some fading after the cleaning, ink must run through the system in order for color to come out normally again.

      @@BestPrinters IT WORKED! Perseverance pays off. I warmed the solution (although I had done this before, with no difference) and held the tubing connectors over the print head as air tight as I could. When I pressed on the syringe, it didn’t want to move. I dispensed the solution (5ml ) gradually. Then I tried something new. I pulled up on (suctioned) the empty syringe and got some red ink in the tubing. First evidence of movement. I kept injecting and suctioning. Then the test print (following the printer’s printhead cleaning routine) finally showed red, but had other issues. I ran the clean cycle twice more. SUCCESS! Thank you for your demonstration video. It was very helpful!!

    There's always that stubborn one, right? I believe in this process. However ...I've been at "fixing" my blue ink for over a week (for all 6.5 years of owning this printer, it's ALWAYS the blue!). A half ream of paper, bottles of solution (I've even tried the heated route) and roll of paper towels later, I'm in the same place: no blue, or a smear of blue that bleeds into the yellow. I'm burning through my other colors printing test sheets. I've run countless print-head cleanings and alignments ... Everything about this printer works but blue. I'm guessing the blue smear running into the yellow is a backup from a blockage, but for the life of me, I cannot get blue working. I've flushed it no less than 8 times. Once, out of nowhere (and at least 4 flushings ago), blue printed perfectly. (yay!) But no such luck before or since. This all seemed to begin one time (years ago) when I put in the new cartridge (I'm on their InstaInk program) and the printer accused me of using a fake, which I was not. I finally got that squared away when they sent a new cartridge, but since then, it's been temperamental with blue. I'm about to give up. HELP! Any ideas?

Then the WIDE end of the yellow piece surrounds the print head. It's the first time I realized nothing had been going INTO the problem but squirting around it. With the yellow piece surrounding the print head and HOT liquid, after a few slow-pressure refills, I got it to work. Then had to do a print head alignment. Whew.

      I know you said it was an extreme case printer in the video but you gave absolutely no idea of how long your repair took. Can you please give us an idea how long it took you to get those qualities you showed at the end? My time is more valuable than the cost of a new printer if it’s going to take more than a couple hours which I’ve already been working on this printer.
      Also can I just leave it with the solution and come back at intervals?
      Thanks

    • @michaelfrodriguez4722
      @michaelfrodriguez4722 2 года назад +2

      It is fixed for the most part.
      I ran out of time the first time I tried cleaning the printer head and had to leave it. I left it with the cleaner solution in the heads. Not sure if that was the right thing to do but a few days later the next time I used the syringe it pushed right through the cyan print head filling the paper towel with blue solution. It wasn’t passing through the printer head last time at all. I ran a couple of test pages and it was printing all colors. There is one white line in the blue and green of the print quality page and cleaning the print head has not removed it yet. I’m going to put the printer back in service for now and clean the print head again in a few days.
      A rough time frame in your video or description or a waiting period between cleanings would be helpful.
      Thank you for your quality product.
