    The meeting with grandpa is so intense. Grandpa made such a long trip just to know his grandson before he died. He told Wale he may not see him again, but Wale didn't get it, grandpa was bidding him goodbye. I shed few tears there.

    He didn't have to go back home, yet he did. The respect for his elders, family, tribe, and country, his desire to experience the joyrney as a 'normal' person...his humility, made me love him more. I adore that man...

      Tyrone S. Africa is a CONTINENT not a Country. Nigeria is the Country. So you wanted to say Nigerian Song, not African Song.

    Much respect wale. As Nigerian Bord dude that grew up in the DMV ... Dope to see him go back. Folks don't get wales social awkwardness and for a lot of Nigerians they can take it as disrespectful or snubbing but that's not what it is. One thing tho homie ... I'm gonna need you to say e se not o se when you thanking people older than you lol.

    I love this video at that time when WALE finally met with his Grandad. So emotional. I hope all those parents both in Europe and America or wherever would learn from this never to deprive those children born in exile to remain there forever without connecting with their roots.

    yo that moment when he finally gets to meet his grandfather is one of the most touching moments I've seen. This was a great in-depth look into one of the most prolific artists of our time and in hip hop culture, seeing this side of Wale makes me appreciate the person behind the mic even more. DC stand up! PG stand up! Salute Wale.

      Me It's very expensive to fly from the US to Nigeria. VERY expensive. Growing up, his parents probably couldn't afford it. I know this because my family is Nigerian like his but I've only been to Nigeria once, years ago.

    • @whoyathought400
      @whoyathought400 9 лет назад

      divagurl985 No, I meant while he was in Nigeria. There's a part where he said he couldn't go visit the grandparents
