    What a great effect! I love the way you have altered the colours. The change does give them a 3d appearance. It’s truly amazing what can happen with a little change. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. 😁

    Bravo Mylèna! Love these dish towels. The colours and the visual effect by doubling the warp is lovely. You are truly very talented.....

    Hi Melania!!! Darn, was waiting to see this finished but the video ended quickly for some reason!! Maybe you can show us on the 12th!?? I'm so excited to see you live 😍💕 in person!! What a Valentine's treat!!!...here are some things I'd like to ask you in case I don't get to ask later...what are your Valentine's plans, what is your nationality, can you tell us about who Melania is, what is your most exciting long term goal, what is your favorite loom, what got you interested in weaving, are you going to introduce us to your mother sometime ...anyway, we are your fans and love to know about you. Thank you so much for these last 2 videos, you really explained things well in both of them, and loved hearing your sweet accent!!! See you soon!!

    So are you using 2 strands in each opening for the warp and weaving with one strand of 8/2 cotton? I have only used 8/4 and done a single strand for both the warp and the weft. I do like the way your color works in the warp. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

      Yes, that's exactly it! I believe that the different with your towels would be the final thickness of the towel 😊

    Hi God bless you I have a question for you can I make a baby blanket with that with a soft yarn and where can I buy that machine at

    • @Curly_n_Yarny

      Of course you can make a baby blankets! I have actually made several with my 32" rigid heddle loom. Here's two of them: ruclips.net/video/pAjbey2WawA/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/gfg8BgQCEpg/видео.html
      Also, there are many shops that sell such looms. If you are in the US, there's the Woolery that has a great selection. Here's the link (affiliate): woolery.com/ashford-rigid-heddle-loom.html?aff=214

    What is heddle dent that you used for this dish towel??

    Thank you for sharing this method. I am very new to weaving. How do you measure your towels while you are weaving? Do you keep measuring as you advance the warp until you reach the middle or mark it somehow before you start weaving?

    • @Curly_n_Yarny
      @Curly_n_Yarny  2 года назад

      Good question! At the moment, I like to use a masking tape to track my weaving progess. Once I have measured a few inches, I note it on the tape and stick it to my project. As I keep weaving, I keep on advancing my tape and noting on it how much I have woven 😊

      I use Ikea paper measuring tapes, pinning them on as I go. This allows me to write notes ahead of time on the tape where colors changes. Old school is you can make your own out of ribbon (grosgrain)

    Love your videos!! Where do you purchase your yarn?

      @Curly_n_Yarny  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! I mostly use Maurice Brassard yarn and I'm lucky enough to live 1h away from them. So I buy directly from the factory.
      I love their yarns and I believe that they have many resellers around the world.
      If you are in the United States, their yarn is available through The Woolery's website. Here's a link (affiliate): woolery.com/maurice-brassard-cotton-yarn-8-2.html?aff=214

    Bonjour, est-ce que tu peux faire les videos français.

      Bonjour. C'est un de mes souhaits de faire des vidéos en français sur les bases du tissage. Comme j'ai un horaire très chargé à l'heure actuelle, je ne sais pas quand ces vidéos seront faits. Mais ils s'en viennent :)

      Bonjour, cela serait vraiment sympa@@Curly_n_Yarny . Car même lorsque l'on comprend l'anglais c'est parfois technique. Personnellement j'ai dû mal à comprendre quand utiliser les différents peignes suivant la laine..
