She’s so well spoken, intelligent and self aware. She acknowledges every one by name whilst still being humorous. A true icon.
Of course she is “well spoken”!! What the hell does well spoken supposed to mean? Did you say that because she is a person of color??? Saying that a person of color is “well spoken “ is not a compliment.
@@girlanonymous Girl I'm literally a Black Queen living in Zambia 🇿🇲 why would I want to speak ill of her? You got the plot all wrong. It is a complement, I'm instead appreciating the fact she's so eloquent its inspiring. Relax you don't need to be on your defense all the time, it's all love ova here🫶🏽
Best speech. So balanced and full of gratitude and funny moments as well. Loved when she says thank you to my Ryan , not Gosling ha ha 🤣
i’m crying sm right now you can visibly see how proud EVERY OTHER WOMAN in that room is. They are so proud and appreciative of America, just like us!! Just like all the other women all over!! She deserves that award!!! Thank you America Ferrera, thank you Margot Robbie, and thank you Greta Gerwig.
America is our hero for American-Latino kids! We saw her, she gave us permission to see ourselves!
God she picked the right career she has such a natural gift for delivering rousing, true, honest speeches with just the right balance of humor and sentiment. Love her!
Well-done America. Amazing speech.
She is so special. We need more stars like her with roles like those
Just like in the film, she gave a powerful speech here too….👍
Oh My G#d... This has got to be One of the Best Speeches that I have heard. It was so Beautiful, Uplifting, Inspirational and Heart-Warming. I loved it...
her monologue in Barbie is so real 👑
I love America Ferrera in everything she does. But her performance in Ugly Betty (and that beautiful, hilarious, flawed, big-hearted, wonderful series overall) was one of the best things that tv has ever produced. She is legend.
Not me crying at work watching this speech 😭
America has been a role-model for me since she played Ugly Betty. As a kid in school I had the nickname Ugly Betty but as someone who actually watched the show I knew what a kind and compassionate person Betty was and her inner beauty outshined her outer. America gave that portrayal to me and I've loved watching her journey ever since.
Your comment made me cry. Things that happen when we are kid could let life long scars, but I loved how you handled it… we are more than our physical appearance. Today having a nice smile or having a fit body is easier than being a good person. Hugs to you.
And remember who brought Ugly Betty to US television….Salma Hayek! She deserves praise for seeing that a show like this was badly needed.
@@youtube-cps Thank you for your reply! I definitely have the scars from childhood bullying but I grew to accept myself. I'm happily married to someone who calls me beautiful and I know that I'm appreciated by all those around me :)
quite literally the only America i’ll ever love. she’s such an incredible woman 🤍
why am I crying? She speaks from her heart and that moves me
Ugly Betty will always have a special place in my heart. That show deeply affected me. Thank you so much for this amazing actress.
I cried watching this. She's my only Honduran representation and she's done it beautifully.
Loved her from Superstore! Congratulations! Forever supporting you!
America as Carmen in SOTTP changed my make up as a woman. Seeing a curvy teen with smarts and spirit and who is not afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve and show her emotions made me feel like I wasn’t alone in my feelings and experiences, that they were valid and real. Thank you America 🩷
You know it’s about time she got some credits. Growing I never had enough black and brown women for me and my friends to see. America has always existed for me , has always represented for me, and has performed gracefully in everything she has done. I am so grateful to see her rise and she can only continue to fly. I love you so much America you will never know what just existing on my favorite films and tv shows meant to me.
America, thank you (THANK YOU) for seeing every woman, for including the word "disability," an idenity of millions of women that is so often forgotten or dismissed, in your speech! Your compacity to consider everyone throughout your career has been so meaningful to countless people. This award, this acknowledgement of who you are, could not fit better. You truly see the universal her. And we see you.
America Ferrera has always been iconic and always will be. She needs her own Star on the Walk Of Fame.
Her movie roles have always had a huge impact on me, but her portrayal of Amy in Superstore coming straight back to work after motherhood is one of my favourite storylines. As someone who has never had children and has never thought about what that would be like, it made me see the struggle that mothers who go back to work face and it has changed the way I treat people at my workplace for the better. It’s not like I was mean to my colleagues before, but now I try to be even more helpful, especially towards people I know who have recently had children or come back from being ill.
I cried, what a speech!!! Oh my Lord ❤
Im from Honduras 🇭🇳 shes so inspiring 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶
Your awesome America Ferrera
Keep being you.
Damn.. What a powerful speech. 🔥🔥
Beautiful speech from Margot ❤

What a class act and so beautifully spoken, I've been a fan since Ugly Betty, she has the ability to make you empathize so truthfully in her performances.
Amazing speech; loved the movie so much.
Thank you, my fellow Latina! I can watch this speech a million times. WE CAN ALL ACHIEVE OUR DREAMS. You are brilliant and we can’t wait to see what you do next! Keep shining! ✨✨
It is very difficult not to be moved and inspired by America's words...and the, I believe, most sincere reactions of her peers in that audience. I am a 60yo man and I am moved by what she said, and the film itself. Brava, America...!
I’m so glad America is getting so much recognition
I just watched Real Women Have Curves, and as a Latina women this movie hit me so hard. America’s been the real deal since she was so young and this is so well deserved
Ultimate GO GIRL!!!
both speeches are beautiful
You deserve so much America ❤❤❤
Why did I cry so much! Representation truly matters
“Si se puede” 🥰

First Honduran-American actress, thank you for taking our flag to the very highest!!! VIVA HONDURAS!!!!!
I have been a big fan of hers since gotta kick it up...followed hwr acting journey...she is such an amazing actress
I loved seeing America in movies as a kid. Im not Honduran (Native American). It was always nice seeing someone who looked like me. Back in the early 2000s movies/tv didn’t have much representation or inclusion. I’m so freaking happy for her. She’s such a beautiful person.
And now America Ferrera is an Academy Award nominee.
What a speech! Ernest, powerful and just infectiously uplifting.
Who remembers her since Gotta Kick it Up?💕

PS : Margot Robbie looks like she is literally glowing and she gave a wonderful intro for America. ❤
Ella es hondureña - americana un orgullo latino muy talentosa, Dios la bendiga y la llene de exitos ❤
I started watching ugly Betty when I was so young with my grandma. I remember thinking that it was the first time I felt like I could really see myself in a character before. America, though it’s likely you’ll never see this I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so bold and brave. It’s because of you I had finally felt excited to see Latina characters on screen, I had never realized it before but the representation and hope you gave me as an chubby, curly headed, Latina surrounded by nothing but light skin and straight blonde hair was immeasurable and irreplaceable. Inspirational can hardly describe your spirit. Thank you ❤️
WOW! Who would have thought Barbie to be such an inspiring movie for everyone? Support your women! We all need it but working women everywhere supporting families everyday without fanfare are true heroes every day! What a wonderful speech from both Margot and America. Thank you!
Man this brought TEARS into my eyes!! Been watching her since sisterhood and I love her so much!! So well deserved and cannot wait to see everything in store for her
Also love "thank you to my husband Ryan, not Gosling, the other one" HAHAHA
