I LOVE THE FACT THAT LYRICA (who played Nico live action in The Runaways show) IS VOICING HER IN THIS GAME!! THATS MY GIRL!!
If you remember Nico can only cast a spell once; due to the Staff of One being an evil wizard forced to serve the Mionru lineage. She can cast the same effect with different words. But things go random if she tries to actually repeat the spells

@@cunningsmile4166 Yes, actually, though I was wrong about the staff thing. She briefly got more powerful during a non-Runaways event in the comics, but that got changed back for reasons unknown.

I imagine what You'd lack in strength you'd more than make up for with overwhelming power and force.
I like that the character I know the least about has some of the most complex and interesting gameplay, I may take a peek at Runaways if I like her in game.
Highly recommend reading the BKV run followed by the Rowell run. You will be a big fan of Nico (and her friends) afterwards.

She's a lot different in the comics powerset wise, since while they say her big thing is that her powers are "Random" its more that she can make a spell out of literally any word/phrase. But and this is the key point of why her special artifact has the name it does, the Staff of One will only cast each "Spell" Once...or maybe sometimes it'll do something weird instead of doing nothing, though its already unpredictable because who knows what it'll think a phrase or say using the name Abraham Lincoln as a spell will do.
Its basically impossible to adapt to a video game directly though, unless it was Scribblenauts or something so I guess making the effects difficult to predict is reasonable.
I've been waiting since the game was announced to see her! 😭❤️ The Runaways are sooo under used. Like nico is soooo dope and powerful, such a queen
Absolutely *LOVE* her animations and general playstyle. I like that she has a bit of uncertanty to her gameplay but the player can still be strategic and try to work around it to their advantage (like Witchstorm and how important it's placement can be). Can't wait for this game to come out

Both her gimmick and her visuals are immense I'm so amazed at how she's looking.
Nice twist to keep things similar to her powers in comics, I like the idea of the random effect and I love how powerful she can be, that being said, since I'm planning on using her a lot because she's my favorite character ever, well, there's gonna be quite a steep learning curve with her. And btw, what an awesome name for her heroic card.
I really need you guys to chill with making every character look awesome. How the heck am I supposed to build a team with this many choices? 😅
I wasn't too sure about her power presentation but witchstorm won me over. Stunning ability and ofc she'll have a prime spot on my team. Nico for life!
I love how creepy my team is going to be. The animations on her spells are so good.
I have high hopes for this game.This game's cast is looking awesome thus far. I hope more heroes will be added through DLC's. I know little of Ms. Nico Minoru outside her appearance on the The Runaways and a few instances in the comic books. I look forward to familiarize myself with her and the rest of the cast before the launch of the game. I would to get a showcase of some of the cosmetics that will be available to them
Who'd have thunk there'd be a hero here with magic more chaotic than Wanda's? But her abilities look awesome!
Now that these showcases are closer to being finished (I think Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider being the last character that has yet to be showcased and the unknown 13th character), I really hope that there will be a costume showcase at some point. Seems that the devs have been a bit quiet as it pertains to costumes
I believe the only other costume is there midnight sons version and any other costumes are real money but there are palette swaps in game

I was disappointed at first that it wouldn’t be exactly like x com but I’m really starting to warm up to the card system.

I'm still disappointed. I still don't want cards in the game. I prefer Xcom 2 better. But to each their own.
It's an unusual approach to card combat, to be sure. If you'd like an idea of how this system works in practice, I'd recommend Fights In Tight Places. The only difference between that game and Midnight Suns is that movement in Fights is determined by cards too.

Finally another powerful magical character and a runaway
I think she looks really interesting an fun. With that being said I’ve already ordered my legendary edition for ps5. I am really hoping we get Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Venom, Hope or Rachel summers. Any or all of those would be amazing.
Nico, Ghost-Rider, Wolverine. Another decent team comp with good damage and debuff potential for extended fights. Wolverine and Ghost Rider can self heal which allows for Nico to play in the back line and apply abilities with roulette. Redraws will allow for heroism build up for a big attack from any of the three. Great synergy.
Nico is so broken. Witchfire is just NASTY! And she has great support.
I wonder if there will be a hero history for Nico

@@iraford5788 Well usually they'v ebeen doing it in the order of Spotlight first then Hero History then Odd's deep dive on the skill set so I don't know.

The inability to describe Double Up's effect as adding cards with Exhaust to your hand tells me you've not played Slay the Spire withou telling me you've not played Slay the Spire

Nicos friendship skill “and another one” + witchfire is too imba. Easily sweeps all enemies on the map! (Tested on her challenge quest)
Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, & Captain Marvel should have been replaced with Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing, & Daredevil.

I am very confused with her skill cards, but it looks super awesome effect!!! I wish Wanda hex damage effect this cool, not looks like electric storm effect
As much as the card system makes me nervous the cast and the xcom style has me interested. I really wish they would have a demo or something

however, I wish this was an open world rpg…. the card dealing aspect is still kinda cool, but visually I feel like they play better on a Mobil platform

Nico's one of my favorite Marvel characters of all time.
i want to like the this game but man that card system gonna hold the game back i think. and every battle scenario looks like a square arena rather than a map you move around with an overall objective not just the hey heres 5 dudes beat em up
because there is no need for places to cover the scenario is more open this is basically A change from the hit chance system and games Like Xcom to the system where your actions are random.
I hope the next character they show is ghost rider 🔥💀 or 💀🔥

Jesus, the bad thing is having a character that gives random effects that makes it a really fun support to play.
Beautiful graphics, great animation, but terrible gameplay and terrible card-based mechanics. I'm surprised the devs are stubbornly sticking to it. I expect mixed reactions from deeply divided audiences when it launches.
there's nothing terrible about the gameplay or the cards they just replace the chance of hitting Xcom games with the randomness of the cards making the game more dynamic and not making it a Marvel Strike.

No games have to be diversified for the public didn't like it ok go play these games you mentioned and let those who enjoy this genre enjoy the game.
