Has three hunter trees! So you can be a damage dealer, a support/healer, or some combination of the two!

You can be a tank. You conflate weapons and forget they get cards. The Hunter has MULTIPLE tank cards.
Ok, I am probably going into Light (because come on, Charlie summon, who can say no to that?), combined with some sword abilities (yes, I am making Hunter a Jedi)
The female Hunter they've been showcasing is like a doppleganger for Bastila Shan

I love when a healer is actually fun to play in video games, so letting my protagonist be a strong support with powerful abilities if you go the full light path makes me very happy :)
Loving the game now that it's out but good lord this video doesn't even cover just how good the hunter is because it focuses purely on heroics and buff cards but their basic attacks are just straight up solid. Light path usually has a secondary effect like healing an ally or applying cure while dark has self buffs on ko or takes hp to beef up the hunter. It's a really character with a crazy amount of choices. I constantly change my deck for different missions. I seem to be playing my hunter as a knock back expert with a heroic battery and optional heals to cover basically everyone.
Can't wait to see more of this game at the marvel/disney games showcase tomorrow.

Do outfits grant any buffs? For the hunter or the other heroes?
What is the minimum number of cards in a deck and is there a character that buffs allies with block?
I know Dr. Strange can buff allies with Resist, which is a lot like Block.
@@Adurnis That kinda works, I was thinking of a good way to keep Captain Marvel in Binary but Shield of the Seraphim only gives 2 resist and that is if you spend 6 Heroism. That is a bit steep price because I would rather use that Heroism while binary is active on Captain Marvel. That might work though because you could give concealment with Vapors if Captain Marvel's block is low while in binary. This means Captain Marvel won't counter which completely negates her passive. What happens if you give concealment to a character that taunts? You made me think of a different strategy though. Concealed Binary Captain Marvel.
So will you be able to change the hunters weapons?
Bitrate on that Bladestorm ability is insane.

When I saw the Twitch gameplay I was not impressed at all but the more I watch the hero gameplay showcases I get more excited!! I really can't wait to get my hands on this baby!

Is there a middle road option, where you try and keep light and dark balanced? Light and dark are only mentioned but there are usually times where a dark power would be more useful or appropriate than a light one, and vice versa.
They mentioned Power as the third option, which I guess is the neutral path.
Yes, there is even a Balance Collar that you get for being more neutral
When will it be released?
One use I can think of is casting Holy Gift before infernal spider for Spider-Man which will allow him to have multiple turns of free attacks. Another use is playing holy gift before rapid regeneration for wolverine which give him an additional self revive play. Anotherrr use for this card is to give Captain America an additional chance to earn block before casting his shield charge ability. Light Hunter is amazing! Power hunter pairs well with Magiik because she can gather enemies up before using blade storm. Power Hunter also pairs well with Wolverine because the fury, wrath, and patience cards allow for high single target damage output.
Dark Hunter can pair pretty well with Nico and Captain America because mindbender and mind breaker can be used strategically to keep Nico full hp and enemies focused on Cap long enough to get the right rolls on roulette. I’m loving the potential team comps so far especially for the various mission types. The Hunter is such a sick character.
Does that mean you will be waiting for the other five heroes till later or are you going to keep going this week?

Was hoping the Hunter cards wouldn't be the generic binary light/dark stuff, but still looks cool.
The game still looks really cool, but is the hunter limited to being essentially melee in every spec? Paths seem distinct, but nowhere near as customizable as they're being hyped
I think it’ll drastically change how you compose your squad and synergies.
@@MrLeafy77 somehow I just expect the specs to be distinctly different - melee vs ranged or aoe Vs single target, etc not just different flavours of melee. I guess we'll see when it releases, just a bit disappointed for now
In a game like this, where you can move pretty much anywhere on the battlefield, I don’t think the difference between ranged and melee matters as much.
I'm more curious about the weapons paths.
I know you can't go martial arts but what are the options?

I was hyped for this game and then it was pushed to 2023 and now back to 2022. Way too much back and forth for me to be comfortable with a Day 1 purchase. I do hope it’s good.
The game looks interesting. Can't wait to see how it is when it comes out. However, every video that has been shown to us lacks anything noteworthy besides the character kits themselves which leads me to worry. For example. most of the battlefields that are shown look like generic villain hideouts. Furthermore, there seems to be a huge lack of enemy variety; it's just the same demon dogs and Hydra goons. I feel like these videos can be a chance to show off more of the game to get more people hyped. One way to do this could be to show off costumes during the gameplay segments, or to show us some new enemies that we haven't seen yet. Small things like that could really get people talking about this game. I mean, could you imagine if we saw Wanda's comic book outfit in some sections of her showcase? Or maybe we could see some new demon enemies. Additionally, I've noticed in these videos that the frame rate will drop to a significant low whenever a character does a flashy move. Hopefully that's fixed by launch.

Wish they had a pause mechanic (with slowed movement) instead of it being fully turn-based and maybe as you progress you can influence the type of cards you get as opposed to everything being fully RNG. Still, it has my attention. I'll keep watching this as the release date gets closer.

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical at this new gameplay holding up to Slay the Spire kind of depth. The cards seem very different and it's not a roguelike. I do hope they have innovated something great here.

Hey, I'm just starting to get into making soft and tNice tutorials 17 minute video helped a LOT MORE than those one hour long tutorials out
Look.... this looks... neat. At the end of the days it's just a turn based card game. What I think a lot of super hero fans want to see is a Marvel universe, create your own super hero, body, face, costume, powers, traits, etc. MMO. DCUO is great because it lets fans play in the comic world they love as their own custom character.
I would absolutely love that for Marvel.
I wouldn't say "Just turn based card game" because of how the gameplay is but think what you want, in the end this game is what many who enjoy this genre wanted
What you described is what most casuals want. There has recently been many turn based rpgs coming out of the gaming world. Many people who enjoy this genre won’t have a problem with this.

"Light will be a fan favorite" Uh... literally the opposite. Support isn't what most people want to play. Also charlie only for light and also in general not being that good a card is a bit disappointing.

Only thing bothers me: in every video so far, there are no enemies at all difficult to kill - we see only easy battles.
That's to make the gameplay look better and make the game more appealing to generate more sales. Basic marketing tactic

Tbh 30 cards in total are basically nothing. I expected far more cards for every hero, it might get stale like this

@@Adurnis thats not really the same. You could still only bring the same amount of cards into battle, so not too many abilites at once. This would just add more strategy and variety
Look, taking into account that the Hunter can get other passives, we can take into account that maybe the other heroes also have others, I dare say Which has more cards than those being shown in the videos.
Can you just not use the hunter, since its niche and cliche, forced to be melee, seems like a mcguffin and just have 3 normal heroes in play instead.
Like who cares it's the first customisable super hero in a Marvel game? Like that's not a selling point that you guys think it is.

Nah, the hunters seems like the worst, a protagonist with a "complex" set of skills, but you can round them up to...support😱😑 the sell of this game is the other heroes, sad to see when you got a game with the main role be a sub🤷♂️

Gameplay graphics looks nice enough but outside of that it looks pretty poor, especially character models in cutscenes and non action parts.
Hope has a final polish still. Even on ps4, these would look previous gen.
Animations look great, smooth, just be nice if they were a little more dynamic, like if u do a knockback at an angle, that your character would move to that way when shoving the enemy. Like the dog did there instead of a straight attack animation and the enemy flies for no reason the direction u chose. Looks a lil off lik tht.
Looks like can be fun, but i hope next they will do a more serious, dark tone, and hardcore tactical superhero game.

Superheroes really shouldn't be standing around taking turns. I love older tactics games and that gameplay makes sense for soldiers or other groups that rely on teamwork. However, in this case, most of these characters could blast through 20 demons solo. Thematically this doesn't work and its a huge turn off unfortunately.
But this is a "turn based" game How do you wish you didn't have "turns"???,In several superhero games, whether Marvel avengers or ultimate alliance, both team up to defeat enemies that, according to your logic, one of them could defeat 20 of them alone,Whether in strategy games or other That involves a team of heroes, it is always necessary for all of them to come together to defeat 1 enemy,And I don't see where it doesn't work, Even because it's not like for them, they've been stopped for an hour or something, like heroes move during a fight,They knew how to adapt it here, they know they are not soldiers but superheroes, here, unlike other games, there is no chance of hit,Just as the scenario is flatter because there is no need for cover, the actions are random because in many situations, especially in the comics, the heroes have to think outside the box to Defeat your enemies as well as the villains too, just like that time when the red Hulk went into space to lift Thor's hammer,Creativity is what will also count here.

Well, they took away the mechanics like franchising and hit chance, but here we always have it and we have the randomness of actions (cards).

Was so exciting for this game.... til I found out it's a glorified card battler.
I'll watch the "movie" of cutscenes on RUclips when it comes out but have no plans on buying this. After both XCOM games so disappointed they went this route instead of using what worked so well.
The only one that was bad was the chimera,this Game works just like the others the difference is that the actions (cards) are random They had to adapt the gameplay Even because it's not a soldiers vs aliens game

It is on console,look for xcom 2 with The Chosen addon.
Big game with lots to do, dynamic campaign where you can lose fights and go on, manage how you go about it, which missions u take on etc.
Cool game, if u have patience to get into it, then u cant stop, fun figuring out your best option on each turn.
Maps have even destructable cover, etc.
The delay has caused the fanbase to leave.
