Just some explanations without spoilers. Toji is not in a pact with a curse, the curse on his neck is just a backpack for his tools. What toji has is an heavenly restriction. An heavenly restriction is a non-negotiable pact where something is taken from you in exchange for a power-up (you're born that way and have no control over it). In toji's case, his cursed energy is taken in exchange for superhuman strength, agility and heightened senses. He's just like maki but on steroids, maki has very little cursed energy just like a normal non-sorcerer would, toji on the other hand has zero. Heavenly pacts/restrictions come in various forms. The other case of heavenly restriction we've seen besides maki and toji is the robot guy from the school exchange event, Mechamaru. In exchange for the ability to store ridiculous amount of cursed energy in his robots, he was born with a very weak and fragile body that was even sensitive to moonlight.... Heavenly restriction is a non-negotiable exchange

@@marti9734 Ngl, even tho yes the first arcs are calmer and less heartwrenching, you can plainly see from the very beginning that the themes and dialogues are much more mature than your run of the mill shonen, and therefore you can predict the story will go to darker places later on... @@math9172 yeah totally agree! I think I was drawn to the story for the very reasons you mentioned; but still like you said, didnt expect to get this sad/dark
Two things I want to clear for y’all. One: The Limitless technique(Gojo’s technique) was forcibly negated by Toji’s special grade cursed tool. That’s why Gojo’s infinity barrier got cut through. Gojo didn’t get any sleep during his time watching Riko which dulled his senses and made him slow to react to situations. Also, he continued to have his Limitless technique on during the entirety of the mission which put extra strain on him. Two: Toji has a Heavenly Restriction on him. He didn’t make a pact with a curse. Heavenly Restriction is very similar to Binding Vows. The difference between the two is Heavenly Restriction negates any consent to those affected by Heavenly Restriction and they are made the day the user is born. They are practically contracts that were made without users consent. Maki and Mechamaru have Heavenly Restrictions as well with Maki having almost the exact same as Toji, only difference is that she has cursed energy but only a minuscule amount in her body. If you have any questions or confused about anything leave a comment and I’ll do my best to explain.
gojo's barrier/infinity didn't come down. he turned it off cuz he's already exhausted + they thought they're already safe, i mean the bounty was taken down and theyre already in jujutsu high. He just let his guard down. Toji, maki and Mechamaru are the characters that has Heavenly pact, Yuta is a different breed. Toji's heavenly pact allows him to have superhuman ability at the cost of having "zero" cursed energy while Maki's pact allows her to be stronger than sny human while having VERY LITTLE CURSED ENERGY.
You got the heavenly pacts backwards. Maki has zero cursed energy she needs the glasses to see the curses. Toji as we see here can see curse he's using one to hold his tools and he can see the fly heads to get into gojos blind spot.
@@thomaskaimann6800no Toji has zero cursed energy which makes his heavenly restriction that much stronger than maki’s. Because he has zero his 5 senses are elevated to an extreme and that’s why he can “feel” the presence of curses and cursed techniques. Was Yuta ever explained in the manga? All i know is that JJK 0 movie was written before anything and that Yuta was not fully fleshed out. Aside from him being distant cousins with Gojo. He shouldnt be able to do the things he did in the movie with how cursed energy was explained in the series.
Toji, like Maki, has the heavenly pack. In exchange for no curse energy, their stats are higher than normal humans. Toji is what Maki can become. Think Rock Lee and Guy.
This isnt quite accurate. Maki has a hard cap on how good she can get as she has little cursed energy in comparison to toji who has 0. Thus their heavenly restrictions aren't the same
@@brianwahinya1245 I only said there's reason to believe she's stronger now what that reason is or how I figure. Heavenly Pact/Restriction is where you are born with a disadvantage but gain an advantage elsewhere, it is not some kind of pact with a curse. It is essentially a pact with the universe (hence heavenly). Mechamaru and Maki both have this. Maki's is similar to Toji's and they are both from the Zenin clan. As memebers of the clan they would noirmally be born with the power of a sorcerer but because they were not they get superhuman physiques in return. The curse that Toji carries with him is to store things inside and you may recall that he didn't appear to have it at first -hence a hidden inventory...
A few things 1. Gojo has not yet unlocked the ability to have his barrier be passive like in season 1 yet. He has to manually keep it active, which is why Toji was able to stab him when he deactivated it 2. Toji was born with a rare condition called Heavenly Restriction (This is the same ability Maki has). The condition takes away your ability to produce cursed energy and makes your body super human in exchange. Maki though still has some cursed energy, which is why she isnt as strong as Toji. Toji literally has zero cursed energy, which even civilians have some. So Toji is literally just “built different”. Curse users is the term for rogue/evil sorcerers, for the sake of simplicity and avoiding confusion let's just say the clan's have being sorcerers in their blood instead of curse users.
I wonder what would have happened if Toji had never pulled the trigger. I mean, Riko had changed her mind and wasn't going to assimilate anyway.
