Lightning Returns but I can't freeze time

I may be a strategy game youtuber, but I'm also an RPG lover and I cannot deny my roots. So this pride month, I'm playing the game that somehow started the chain of events which got me here.
As for the challenge, the idea is to never use EP. Whether for buying items from Hope, freezing time, or any other purpose it provides. And, oh boy, is it an experience.
