I got the JBL 950NC for 165€ about one or two years ago and I couldn't be happier. I use them while gaming as my PC headset and for commuting. I had the WH Xm3 for a couple of weeks before and didn't like their sound for the price, although the ANC was superb. I liked the 950NC so much more, as described in the video for the Club one, their sound is extremely nice and detailed, listening to songs with them is amazing and that's also the reason they are great for gaming, being able to hear footsteps and other sound cues is much easier with these. Even though the ANC isn't very good, it's great at filtering constant low noise and manages to completely silence my open-case PC which can get pretty loud during gaming. A very nice bonus for me and one that I don't want to miss ever again. Their weight is indeed pretty high and I need to shift them on my head every couple hours, otherwise they tend to hurt. I can however, wholeheartedly recommend the Club lineup, especially the 950NC to anyone looking for really great sounding headphones in an environment where the noisefloor is a little higher - if you get a good deal on them.
Im a fan of the Live line up, the Live400 were ok, the 500BT were also great, the 650 was just a more expensive 500 because the ANC was trash, the 660 is ok but I gave them back and got the XM4 instead, JBL can make a really good looking and durable headphone but fails in ANC.
The anc works well with the 650. BUT the earpads don't seal well. You move around and you can hear the seal being broken. I also had the 660 and returned them because there wasn't much difference between the two.
@@AlexeyDnepr basically the same thing. The 660 really isn't an improvement at all. Just has better specs on paper. But they basically do everything the 650 do with a little tighter clamping force on your head.
Hi Aaron, I was wondering if you plan on comparing Anker's new Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro's vs the Sony WF-1000XM3 and XM4 earbuds? Heard it has great ANC and LDAC hi-res audio as well as an app with a ton of customization. Would be great if you reviewed those!
I'm a big fan of the JBL sound and build quality also they EQ as well or better than anything else I've used. Right now I'm using the Reflect Minis and I've got them tuned perfect for me. However the downsides are ANC and Ambient performance and microphone call quality is hit and miss depending on what you have. Thank you for this review it was spot on very informative. 🤔🇺🇸👍💯
Thank you for watching and for you comment! I do like JBL's sound. My fav gaming headphones are from JBL and that's specifically cause they don't lay on the bass too thick unlike other brands.
I like your videos but I still don’t understand why you only record microphone quality in a noisy place. I think for most people we use them most of the time in quieter environments. If you could add another option I think it would provide value.
ive used jbl headphones alot and i have the sony xm 3 , JBL cant make good noise canceling headphones and the bass is never as good as sony , now i am asking my self is it worth to upgrade from the xm3 to the xm 5
i am getting these for 60$ in india....should i buy them or stick with my philips taph805 ....is it worth the upgrade? i prefer sound and comfort..over features..
Hey Aaron, out of all the over and on-ear headphones you have used/tested/reviewed here on your channel , which one would you call the most comfortable to wear?
I just want to buy headphones and I must choose between this two, some people said that JBL in time had some static sound when ANC is activated, can anyone have an advice? Here in Finland both are 199 €.Thanks for video! Just for info, I need them in my working place not for fun, with maximum settings of ANC!
Jbl club sounds really good, but volume isn't too high. Sounds very crisp. Depends on what are using it for? Jbl feels like perfect balance but higher volume is what i want. Other than that, sounds should be very clean. I would get Akg n700ncm2, this has the perfect bass and sounds clarity is really good.
Sony XM4 -> Best ANC, acceptable sound quality, the most comfortable Seinheisser M3 -> very good ANC, the best sound quality, most durable, a bit hefty but comfortable, weaker battery life due to large sound stage. AirPods Max -> very good ANC, second best sound quality, very hefty Bose N700 -> Good ANC, medium sound quality, best looking
@@mids187 nah, im using sennheizer mommentum 2 but thanks for being concerned. I use other jbl products, and had their headphones in the past, if a pair of their new ones would sell for 90$, then i dont exist.
good build quality, good sound but not enough volume even on cable without amplifier. can not use the app without location on...wtf. in app eq crashes all the time, so useless app. included cables but proprietary. nice case, not worth more than half of asked price, returning it
True, volume need to be 10% to 15 % more higher. And extra bass isn't great. Overall sounds very clean and clarity is real good. Get Akg n700ncm2, this thing has best bass. I can feel air coming from my ear. And has the perfect balance. Only thing is you can't wear for long. But love the sound experience.

Nothing can beat XM4s in terms of comfort and M3 in terms of sound quality (incl. Airpod Max).

I had the Jbl club 1s and I was laughing my ass off how can these be worth 350 when noise cancelling isn’t as good so I got refund and bought Sonys
that cable outside the earcups look totally weird, that reason alone makes me don't want to buy it.
Man I hate when headphones leave the wires exposed though
