This bear is excellent, IMO. Doesn't matter to me if he doesn't do SpiderMan poses or crouch down on all fours like a normal bear. I wasn't anticipating those things so, I'm not disappointed. Given the slash and blood effects he comes with and those giant gorilla arms, it looks like he was designed specifically with being an upper body attacker in mind. I have to agree that it is a bit pricey. But what ya gonna do? Not like a McFarlane figure that'll go down to half price after a few months. That being said, I getting one of each color. The brown and black should be here next week. They cost almost $30 less than the exclusive Panda and Polar. But still pricey. I'm sure it could easily be modded to allow for more of a kick but, that would ruin its cod piece and it would have to wear some sort of skirting or look weird like the ogre scale Mythics do without their skirting.
I love the black fur with red eyes, but I just don't understand the silver skin. I wish it was just grey like with the panda version. It really sucks that the hips are so loose.
My biggest beef with this figure is that it has bare flesh spots and yet is used for animals or cryptids that are covered in fur. It looks like they have mange.
Good honest review! I ordered from 5kToys the brown version, they are asking $69.99 plus shipping. Now I'm debating in canceling the order due to the hips.
Great review, even if it was a little dour; no one can hold it against you for having an opinion. Still, I ordered 2, the black and white versions due to there being a big enough difference in colors and sculpt. Also I love the hand effects. I've been slowly building a World of Warcraft figure collection and these are basically unofficial Furbolgs, to me at least. Any plans on reviewing any of the unofficial WoW orcs coming out? There's staggeringly little content out there for these guys and the orc builders, I may have to start doing short reviews myself when my copies arrive. Thanks for sharing your review!

I got this recently and after looking at the proportions and articulations, its very similar to the Mezco "Kong of Skull Island" figure from a few years back almost identical minus the sculpting of course and some other mechanical details. Hopefully they improve those pegs in the monster force line, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much. I'm probably not gonna bother with all of the armor to be honest(the belt and wrist-cuffs are easy enough for me, but the ball peg for that shoulder pad has me worried).
Nice review. The store I originally pre-ordered mine at offered a chance for people to cancel after they updated to this design - which I didn't like as much as the original design. So I took the opportunity and cancelled it.
Also - for the hips I would toss a wad of blue poster tack into the hip socket to help improve it some. I found on larger ball joints that helps more than kiki.
Yea that definitely seemed like false advertising. The Panda was a chase variant packed in at factory. So it would not have its own panda box. The only way the Panda comes is randomly in a brown,black or white bear box smmfh. To attempt to make you buy multiple
Actually, 33Toys did have the Panda available as an option to purchase. I got one. Mad Hatter got one. I've seen a few other people posting on FB groups pics of the Pandas they ordered. It was those others posting about it that convinced me to order it. It's legit. Sold out a few weeks ago, though.

It's kind of amazing we have 3rd party WOW stuff, I have looked into the Orcs but haven't pulled the trigger yet...

You can solve that hip problem with just a few drops of super glue on the ball joints.

I am optimistic with Fresh Monkey Fictions Bigfoot only because their Santa figures from last year were SOLID!
