I repainted mine on the weekend! I've never painted an action figure before, but I'm a professional illustrator and have made one sculpted model in the past, so I'm not new to art. It took a while to sand, prime and paint everything, but I'm SO happy with the outcome. I'm actually shocked at how much better he looks and I have him in Maxbird's custom Crocker prison outfit, so the contrast of the vibrant teal with the orange outfit looks really awesome. I also changed his eyes to match the scary white of the promo pictures which gives him a seriously mean look.
Paint looks completely different from the one shown in promo shots...looked really vibrant and clean in the promos but kind of dull and cheap looking in real. Ordered 2 of this, guess I'll cancel now. Excellent review by the way, helps a lot.
You're definitely right! I was really disappointed when I opened the box and saw the colour changes and downgrades. I must say though, the figure itself is a very nice piece in terms of sculpt, quality and weight, so I'm potentially going to give it a little repaint, as it's only the light area that is a generic beige and needs changing to a different hue and a smoother transition to the dark green. I find the actual figure to be so cool that I've just ordered the regular too.

If you can repaint it, I highly recommend doing so! I think the original paint is horrible too. I spent the weekend sanding, priming and repainting mine and it looks 100 times better now.
Dude I’m seriously thinking about getting one of these two they made? I love bulky brute figures. Which figure should I buy from this line including pre order stuff ? And if it’s a croc which variant? I love the croc master one

It is a total letdown. That's not even close to promotional picture, the paint is completely off. I got so many paint rub at the joints!
If you can repaint it, I highly recommend doing so! I think the original paint is horrible too. I spent the weekend sanding, priming and repainting mine and it looks 100 times better now.
It’s better to apply a clear mat coat varnish on where contacts are made on inside shoulders legs that way it protects paint.
