What a great learning process! I try to model this sort of scaffolded, piece by piece progression for my math students, but then invariably forget it for myself when I get to the climbing wall.
@@hannahmorrisbouldering Oh, and now having watched it, congrats on your progression, and i totally get what you meant with the confidence bit, sometimes all it takes is a friend on the ground shouting "you can do it!" at us :D
I love how Louis kept trying new stuff. Even if a little bit of it may have been showing off, my main take-away was: don't be scared, there are lots of things to try! It may seem impossible to you now, but there are a lot of ways you can climb this. And even if not everything worked (the no hands one was crazy!), it may still be lots of fun! All in all everything got a lot out of this nicely set boulder, even though the success rate wasn't the same for everyone.
It's a thing which is especially useful for comp climbers. You can never know what kind of move the routesetters will have you do and if you already tried/learnt something similar it's much easier to do. Which is why it makes total sense to come up with as many betas as possible and add those to your "comp move dictionary"
@@flip_lange I think it is a great exercise for everyone! It also goes well with the game where you pick holds you are not allowed to use on easier climbs.
this was awesome. the progression of all three of yous was really inspiring to watch. loved seeing it come together for you at the end! also, as always, love louis and his energy and coaching
Yeah, well done ! Tha's why I love dynamic moves like that, because it's not very physical, but very technical and when you learn it and repeat, repeat and repeat, your body is able to do it and the sensation is sooo great ! :)
Great video as always Hannah! Do you mind sharing the name of the song you're using around 16:50 please? It's really soothing and I want to listen to more of it :D
Louis is such a wholesome person and coach! Great job on the dyno!
Thank you! Louis is a great coach. 😅
Very cool! The way Louis teaches and motivates people seems so effective, great to see the progress you made throughout the video. 💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks so much! He’s a great coach - I always have a great session when Louis is coaching me 😀
Louis is such a great teacher, and breaker of Beta's.
Now I feel I need to start working on my Dyno's.
He is! I find dynos really tough but with the right tuition it started to make more sense! 😀
What a great learning process!
I try to model this sort of scaffolded, piece by piece progression for my math students, but then invariably forget it for myself when I get to the climbing wall.
Such a different from the first go to the last - it makes such a difference to break it down and build the confidence slowly! 😀
I also love this and may try to emulate it a little bit myself. When I try to get everything at the same time, my mind is just overburdened.
Just the other day I managed to send a dyno that was too difficult for me previously by breaking it down into several steps. All credit goes to Louis!
thanks for another video, hope you can get your van back!
I hope so too! Thank you so much Josh, we both really do appreciate your generosity.
"copy louis" is so cute haha great practice
Woooo great video Hannah!!!! Thanks for having me 😊
Thanks for being a fantastic contestant in ‘Copy Louis’. 😎😎
The rarely seen double power spot!! Another great video with Louis, he really is an incredible teacher.
Haha, one wasn’t enough! 😅
I need a Louis in my life!
Wow, you're spoiling us (and yourself, probably) with the coaching videos lately!
Haha I’m not going to be able to remember how to climb by myself! 😅

That was SO CLOSE! 😮 Louis’ tips are so good as well

You give me hope!
Quality fun film , great chemistry and energy between you, Louis and Josh
Thank you Marcus! x
I like the little read you did at the start! I always like that instead of jumping straight into the climb.
i love louis so much. he's amazing. great video hannah and really nice climbing!

I absolutely love a climb like the last one. Way to fight, that was awesome to watch!
Thank you very much! ☺️
Thanks for the video Hanna :) I really am sorry about your van
Thanks for your comment - and thank you for you kind words about the van.
Great learning process! Hang London is my favourite gym tied with TCH EXeter
Love the Hangars! And Hang! Must be a ‘Hang’ thing 😛
@@hannahmorrisbouldering haha. Yeah!
TCH Exeter!!!
that was just incredible Hannah
Thanks so much 🤩
I just shouted YESSSSSSS when you got it
I would have to if I hadn’t been concentrating so hard on not dropping the next move 😳🥲
this video just transmit good vibes!🤩great work from you Josh and Louis! I'm going to start working on my dynos with copy-louis-game hahaha
Glad you thought so! Copy Louis was such a great way to break down the movements! Will deffo be doing more in future! 😅
Copy Louis is such a great game
Changed the game for me!
Awesome video!
Those dynos make me want to climb with a helmet indoor
and shin pads, elbow pads and 5 padded jumpers... feel you!
@@hannahmorrisbouldering and of course the parachute! Not to be forgotten 😄
Absolutely!
Super spicy! x
I saw the video of when they were setting thefirst boulder and i can tell you, none of the setters did a 2 try send. And they're strong

It's called Recourse by Obli :)
While watching video: Oooo, I think I could do it with the progress.
On the wall: Nah, that's not true.
Why does dynamic movement always look so simple until you’re trying to moves!? Then it never looks as impressive as it feels on camera hehe!
If you check out the Bobat's channel, they have a video of them setting this problem.
It’s a great video!
LLLLLOOOOOOUUUUUUISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
What camera do you use? Such great quality!
It's an A7riii :)
Tell Louis it’s a foot hook not a toe hook
Isn't this Bouldering Bobat's gym? Small world
It is! It’s a great gym. Lots of really fun blocs :)
@@hannahmorrisbouldering The U.K. youtube climbing scene feels so connected. I feel left out here in the states lol

Holy smokes, you crushed it! So cool and inspiring to see you fight so hard!🦸♀Great vibes as always and awesome energy with Louis and Josh around!
Thank you so much Anna. It was a really fun session 😀
