    If she has ear issues that night be why she keeps fussing when you lay her down flat at bedtime. When you lay down flat tge pressure can build in the ear. Perhaps proping her mattress up a little might help xxx

    As far as getting a good watermelon. You want to find one that has the yellowing on 1 side usually underneath, also you can tell a sweet juicy watermelon when you see it almost looks like webbing on the rind and is brownish lol. That's from the sugar. Idk if is right, my Nana told me this when I was a kid. It works for me. Lol

    • @atarraeken
      @atarraeken 7 месяцев назад

      yessss the yellow on the rind means its been sitting in the field ripening for a good amount of time!!

    • @kyliechapman7446
      @kyliechapman7446 6 месяцев назад +2

      Also if you knock or tap on the watermelon it should sound like a thud ...a juicy watermelon will be more dense because of the amount of fluid in it , it should also feel a bit heavier . A watermelon that sounds a little hollow is because there is less water inside .

    A dull knife is more dangerous than a dharp knife because with a sharp knife you dont need a lot of pressure and with a full knife you do. So if you cut yourself with a dull knife the cut is more likely to be deeper😊

    • @VarnasBaltas
      @VarnasBaltas 5 месяцев назад

      I agree...but....when you are used to dull knives, you are used to using the knife roughly and pressing hard, when you change to a good knife at least at first, I know I did, I handled it the same as a dull knife and oh boy that's scary, I'm just saying, there is an adjustment period. And it feels dangerous.

    1. I knock on it and if it sounds hollow its good
    2. Yellow spotts is good
    3. Brown scars from bees trying to get in means its sweet
    4. You can see the lines clearly its good
    All that = sweet and juice good tasteing watermelon

  • @JuliesWorldCrochet
    @JuliesWorldCrochet 6 месяцев назад +104

    My best advice for young children: The Warm Water trick. Teach your kids that warm water cures almost everything. Maybe a quarter glass of (tap) warm water, sit quietly for a few minutes sipping on it, and you're much better. If they have an upset stomach, if they're dehydrated, headache, etc the warm water helps. If they're just upset, a few minutes sitting quietly with warm water helps. It's not 'magic' water, it's just good treatment and the pre-cursor to adult cup of tea. Warm water Placebo effect counts too, but that's all good. I've seen kids cope with wasp stings, stubbed toes, constipation...almost everything now. My young son fought with his friends and burst into the house upset, through his sobs "I think I need a cup of warm water", it gave him a strategy to cope. A few minutes sitting quietly, soothing with something warm goes a long way for life's bumps. Water won't hurt anything if they need other treatment- they can self-medicate with it even and it cures/bridges over most minor issues. If they're still sick afterwards, it's a good indicator to delve further.

    • @ambizness
      @ambizness 5 месяцев назад +8

      That’s an excellent idea but most kids will need to add honey or lemon or something for a placebo effect but telling them water cures headaches and stuff is actually very accurate and works even good for adults to know this!!!

TIP* for thawing meat, place the package of meat into a gallon size ziplock bag, fill a big bowl or pot with cold water and place the bag into the bowl. Don't worry if it doesn't fit. Once the side that is down into the water is thawed, flip it around. I do it often if I forget to take something out the night before (into the fridge.) Keep being the wonderful dad that you are! Thank you for acknowledging child care exists as an option. I’ve read several comments questioning his marital status and people act like the only possible way to do this would be the way you did & maybe that’s exactly what he is doing, but non-parental childcare exists and is needed for a reason. Not every family can manage working opposite shifts because not every profession has shift options that make it possible. Props to you for making it work for your family and not needing to rely on day care, but nothing wrong with needing to in order to provide for your family.

    I had chronic ear and throat infections until I was 9. They finally realized during a well check-up that I had abnormally large tonsils. When I say "chronic" I mean that I had a new infection every other month. So there was only a window of mere weeks in between that I was "well" which is why it took years to figure out. It's a wonder I didn't develop antibiotic resistance because I lived on Amoxicillin. After I had my tonsils and adnoids removed I never had another ear or throat infection! There's hope, and I'm glad that this little one will likely get this worked out far sooner than later! You've got this, dad!

So while visiting the ENT for almost a year and every so often he would have fluid build up the doc suggested ear tubes. We were very fortunate that he never got ear infections. That surgery he was a little over a year old. He’s now almost 5 and both tubes have fallen out with no issues. He’s totally good. Still no infections, except for me 😂 I got a double one after this last cold he got. Hope your sweet baby angel feels better quickly!!! 💜

    Watermelon
    Look for a patch/space that is not all green-that indicates it ripened on the vine
    Thump for that perfect, full sound
    The long ones are sweeter than the round (except for Black Diamonds-they are Kings)

    To pick the right watermelon make sure that it is hallow, has a 2 finger space between the stripes, and you also want it to have a deep yellow spot
    Ever since I’ve used these techniques I always get the sweetest watermelons😊

    You can find how to pick out a good watermelon on RUclips. Under the title " How to pick the best watermelon" every time. 15:40 That way you can see the position you hold the watermelon in to determine that regarding cutting the watermelon. There is something called strangely enough A** melon baller** Amazon has them. It will make that chore quite a bit safer and easier watermelon. And it comes out in the little ball which would make it easy for the kids to pick up and just eat..

    She is such good girl she isn’t crying. Try the garlic 🧄 toast cut one piece of it & toast it with knife or fork & cut it a little piece & cover it with vapor rub & grab a cotton ball make it the size of the garlic but make sure you put vapor rub on the garlic just cover it up with it not so much either & it’s up to you but it work better for my child it put a very little rubbing alcohol & put it in her little ear & in less then 5 min she will stop crying bc the pain is gone & make sure you give her pain med also bc her little body also hurts & that’s more for her body pain am telling you it work my daughter had her doc app for her surgery to put tubes in her ear & when we took her the doc was surprised like what had happen bc she was perfectly fine she never got them & it’s also bc the garlic has antibiotics &!its very good to take a small piece early in the morning too it help cholesterol high blood pressure & diabetes read all the good things garlic is good for am praying for your baby’s & yourself that you have piece calm & love & most important God bless you you know that Jesus Christ has you my brother when you feel overwhelmed pray to him cry out to him & ask him to give you a job that you can be home with your baby’s & he will give it to you have to believe in it remember it doesn’t matter if your faith is the size if a mustard seed he will provide but have put all your faith & trust in out all mighty powerful Lord Jesus christ amen

    I have heard to pick a good watermelon. Go heavy,nor light,look for a creamy yellow spot on it where it's been sitting and two fingers in between the greenish stripes on it.Your doing a great job raising the most important things you will ever have in your life. I m sure your parents have told you blink twice and they will be grown up.Take time in each and everyday to spend time with them and not just for them.Tell them everyday even when they get 16 or 17 t h at you love and cherish them.

    For eczema I use Aveeno lavender, chamomile, ylang-ylang (purple top) body wash or the baby Aveeno lavender body wash (purple top). As well as the Aveeno Baby Calming lotion (purple top).
    Believe it or not the above products work better than the steroid cream!!! If I don’t use the Aveeno body wash and use regular soap instead, my skin will break out with the eczema bumps- especially when I am stressed. (Which is daily lately. 😞) I hope this helps!

    I've seen RUclips Videos on melon selection. The Cantaloupe selection criteria worked for me. I'll need to recheck the watermelon one. Ear infections were the misery for our second son. Little sleep for him ... and me. God Bless.
