- Today I decided to wire up these 08 mirrors I had laying around for months. I also had all the wire harnesses for it out of the dash and doors, so I figured I would finally spend the time and figure it out. So enjoy!

FYI: I have not done a write up because you can get the diagram straight out of the factory 2008-2010 Super Duty Wiring Diagrams manual.

Hey so if i want to wire up power mirrors to my truck that currently has manual mirrors. Its best to get a door wiring harness out of another truck?

7.3L 😂 If you think this a lot you should’ve seen how many i did with the excursion wire harness in my truck, hundreds! 😂 thanks though i appreciate that!! Wiring is not the easiest thing

Can you tell me how many amps approximately each mirror draws for the power fold and extend? I'm installing a pair of these in my 01 7.3 and I was planning on using my own switches and an 8 channel relay board. The relays are rated for 10 amps each but each one will be controlling a different movement.
What year did you pull these from?
Is the bolt pattern the same as an 08 ford expedition?
Just bought a 08 f250 XL. Do you have an IG I could ask some questions about modding it could. New to fords and could use some help 🤘🏽
Hello, watched your mirror video. Do the switches limit the opening distance or do I need relays, thank?
Mirrors limit themselves, the fold is a momentary signal from window switch through a relay sized controller that says open or closed depending on current position.
Extend is as long as you hold the button down it'll move in or out until it's fully extended or retracted.

What are asking for front door panels
I'm sure you probably don't have the door panels any more, but if you do how does the color match up to the older 05 tan? Do you know?? if you've still got em let me know.
Did you ever make a wiring diagram? It is probably different for an 01 I assume?
In what area or location of the cab is the folding relay ?
Javier Esquivel On an 08 + dash it’s behind the panel where the headlight switch is. It bolts to the dash frame right there
Were you able to ever type up a wiring diagram?
I'm mostly interested in the power fold relay wiring. (I've got everything else working on mine including telescoping but never tackled the power fold yet)
Power fold relay module
Use a standard 5 pin relay socket
Pin 30 - power unfold out wire to mirrors
Pin 87 - ground
Pin 87a - 12 volt positive (fused 7.5 to 10a)
Pin 85 - fold command wire from mirror switch
Pin 86 - power fold out wire to mirrors
If I'm reading my notes correct from back in 2015 when I did this here it is.
@@AceBoy2099 Nut That Would Keep The Motor Running For as Long as You Hold The Button. And Then Run in Reverse Once Released. Keeping The Motor Running.

@@JohnstuhDeMonstuh yes, special relay from ford, using a relay socket for the wires to connect to the special relay/controller.
Sorry, I didn't specify that. I wasnt aware you could do it with a standard relay, I suppose you could but you'd need 2 wouldn't you?

How much would you charge to make me a wiring harness for a 2000 f350 ? I have the mirrors and switches , I just want to plug n play .

Power fold and telescope, comes without the colored/chrome "skull cap" will have to get separate. Prices are rounded, and as of when I did mine back around 2015 from autonation ford white bear lake.
