How do you feel about the change to the naval pvp? How do you feel about PvP in general? Genuinely interested in your thoughts, not trying to farm engagement at all I swear...
I love PVP. I think it’s the most fun part of an MMO. I am so excited for this game thanks to the countless versions of open world pvp that will exist. Caravans, naval combat, and the various open world engagements that will exist when farming, dungeon crawling, and killing world bosses sounds thrilling.
I like both PVP and PVE. For me, the purpose of PVE is to get stronger for PVP. Conflict is incredibly important for a sandbox MMO - where a large amount of content is player driven. This change for open waters to be PVP zones could create the opportunity for huge fleet battles between large armadas - creating memorable, historic battles like Eve's B-R5RB. It will allow players to dominate trade routes, create markets for safe transit, incentivize guild membership or alliances, and most importantly, fill you with necessary emotions like fear, anger and joy that gives meaning to the game and transforms it into a world that you can escape into...that's what has been missing from modern MMO's.
Fully agree. I am a big fan of a RUST which while it’s not an MMORPG does give you that roller coaster of emotions you speak of. Massive naval battles sounds incredible and I absolutely see the potential for that.
L2 certainly has some influence but I think it’s biggest influence is Archage. The corruption system though SCREAMS L2 to me. Unfortunately I was never very good at L2 😂 pretty young at that point and didn’t understand grinding lol
I think it's fine. I have no care for ocean content so it's not going to bother me. At first, when the game launched there will be the dweeb pushing the system to see how much they can get away with, but after about a month I think things will settle down and the game will find its rythym. I think most people's fears come from wow and that it's going to be a complete gank box everywhere. It really just takes some common sense if you're afraid of being killed. There will be plenty of mercenaries available available hire to protect those getting their feet wet with their first pvp game. As Steven said, this game won't be for everyone, thise that don't want to play can continue in their hamster wheel until they get all their prizes. Great vid. Keep em coming!
Yea man, I agree. I am pretty excited for naval content myself, definitely not many games that do it. Underwater exploration is really intriguing too. I really appreciate you watching. Making these is pretty fun :D
It certainly might. I tend to like stuff like that but I also recognize if it's implemented badly(and it frequently is) it significantly shortens the games lifespan. Totally understand your stance :D
I don't play games where people can run around unflagged. Even wow is bad with factions. Fuck casual farmingbots, I would play this game low pop over shitty pve games. Go and play Skyrim.

@@zokoTVgaming Rust was amazing. Got my ass kicked all the time, but I still enjoyed every second of it.
World pvp love it
same!
Best pvp ever belongs to Lineage 2, I've heard rumors, the founder of AoC is trying to base game on L2, so i got big hopes for it.

This game will fail so hard if they keep the forced PvP. I for one will stay away from it.
