  • Much of Lucasfilm's success can be attributed to what is by far it's most successful property: Star Wars. Star Wars literally changed the world in many ways - it wouldn't be a stretch to say it created a culture of it's own. And since very early on in Star Wars' existence, Disney has had a major tie to the franchise, and Lucasfilm as a whole. From Star Tours, to Captain EO, to Indiana Jones, Disney has been instrumental in bringing Star Wars to theme parks worldwide. But in 2012, Disney BOUGHT Lucasfilm, and Star Wars along with it. How and why did that acquisition happen? And what does Star Wars look like with Disney now at the helm?

Disney and Star Wars. Go good together in the parks, but not in movies.
