I've actually met Colin Firth. He's a very mature, calm, and quiet man. He likes to listen rather than talk; at least that's what I gathered when I met him. He keeps eye contact and really concentrates on the things you say. He enjoys learning about people, and he'll tell you that himself. He told me he loves to travel and meet new people, explore different cultures, experience new things, etc. I see people in the comments are saying he didn't enjoy this, but he laughed and smiled quite a bit. It might have been a bit "loud" for him; it's not really his crowd, but he wouldn't have laughed and smiled as much as he did if he didn't like being there. I'm not an expert on all things Colin just because I met him once, but I think he had fun here.

Actually if you visit certain parts of England or Scotland, I found out, you have a pretty good chance of running into someone famous. I've also met Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, David Tennant, J.K. Rowling, Liam Neeson (which was also a total stroke of luck) and Jimmy Carr. I have all of their autographs except Jimmy's, since I didn't have anything for him to sign and he was in a hurry.
The thing about the UK is that everyone is very private, and you learn to respect that.
Yeah actually there's something about that. I don't know if I can go there, there's a tiny tiny chance haha, Still seems impossible to me for get out from my country, financial problems actually.

Everything Triump has said about Jimmy during the show was so true. Hurtful, but true. And Fallon only makes fun of himself on a superficial level, so he doesn't know how to banter back. Triump gets deep and under people's skin. It's is exactly what Triump does, that's his gig. I can tell who are the vanilla fans of Fallon (probably only watch PG-13 talk shows like Ellen) and the rest of us who get it.
Jimmy really enjoyed Triumph, it was not superficial. He plays the straight guy for most of his guests, it's a choice not to 'fight back' b/c he wants his guests to feel good and when he slips and gets a big reaction from the crowd he kinda regrets it and waves it off, tells them to stop it...he doesn't feel the need to outshine his guests/make fun of them/show he's wittier like other hosts do. Jimmy & Triumph's puppeteer/writer Robert Smigel, both worked at SNL and they are friends...at the end of the show, after Jimmy said his goodbyes, when the camera panned out into the crowd, you could see Jimmy going to give Smigel a big hug and kinda wrestling Triumph. And even from Triumph you could see a more friendly approach during the show...taking back the 'brown noser', saying he wants to please him.
Yes, I know this is partially rehearsed, but the catchphrase game is randomized, unless it's fake which defeats the purpose of having this game, so the clues that Triumph is riffing off of is improv. This is why I think Jimmy Fallon was a bit thrown off track. All of his guests have been so commercially safe that he doesn't know what to do when he gets comedians on who are sharp as knives. Case in point: Dave Chapelle, and he was only throwing soft punches. I know that they're friends at the end of the day because of their connection to SNL, but shots were fired, and they were good ones. I've seen you going around the Triumph clips and defending the show, but I don't think there's a need to. Some people like seeing Triumph telling it like it is and seeing Fallon flounder for a bit. This doesn't make him a bad host. He's like Ellen for the late night crowd.
***** I think you have a skewed view about this show/Jimmy and it leads to having trouble understanding some situations...in other coms. I'm not defending the show, I'm explaining some stuff to ppl that are not familiar w/ the show and/or Triumph - ppl not knowing that Triumph is not Conan's, ppl not knowing that it's not a TS writer that ''does'' Triumph etc...you here, that don't know Jimmy's super nice & straight guy MO w/ everybody...and apparently don't want to know.

Fallon just doesn't banter back because he wants all the celebs to like him. That's the "MO" of TNS, appeal to a widest range of audience possible, and it's been very successful and it's okay. It only becomes painfully obvious when a risky comedian like Robert Smigel/Triump comes on the show and riffs on it. So you don't need to explain anything to me because I like the both of them, don't take it so personally.
