I have owned the T-cross Highline DSG for 3 years now, The stop-start system is annoying I turn it off every time I get into the car because of the delay it creates when I need to move, The turbo lag is noticeable you either have to downshift luckily it has paddle shifters or pull the gear into sport mode when you need instant power. The DSG Gearbox is annoying at low speeds specially eKasi if the road it uneven you can hear it trying to figure out which gear to choose I put it on manual mode for better driving. The Sound system you can have a conversation while the volume is at 100 the Polo you could never. it has a lot of space for the driver and the passengers , The car is fast once you know how to use it. The ride height is good you wont scrape humps even when its full.

Owned one for 4 years and it was generally spacious, nippy enough and reliable. Fuel economy is also good if you are a conservative driver and avoid the sport mode. However, if you appreciate refinement, the Polo and Taigo are better at suppressing road, engine and wind noise, and they also have less interior rattles. Otherwise, it's a good buy and it gives you a high-riding, mini-suv feeling from the driver seat.

Volkswagen done a great job with this car ,it's perfect 👌 the new one is more perfect...I just hope they upgrade the engines though because I feel like that 1.5 tsi engine was underpowered for it to be the top of the range 🙏
450K you can get a Cx5 demo, which is a better car all round, or a Cx30 but that has a compromised practicality

Absolutely love the car but the consumption is crazy smh my Mom averages 6.5l/100km and claimed is 5.4l, even though she's a gentle driver who only goes to work, church and the shops. Also agree on the annoying stop/start and turbolag; I need to downshift or select sport mode for a lot overtaking. And it often gets confused when it has to select gears at low speeds on gravel roads, so you're again better off changing gears yourself
Did y’all see the car sales from last month? Suzuki is dusting VW and I’m here for it. Their arrogant pricing is getting exposed. The best way to afford a VW nowadays is on the pre owned market.

Like most VW products this car is expensive. However from what I've noticed people who love VW will buy it anyway, even though there are better alternatives elsewhere. For example my cousin bought a T Roc Highline 4 motion which is well over R700k
Cherry Tigo pro 7 is the one for me.
Seconded more refined than Havals in my book. Test drove the executive last week.
But my practical brain is stuck on a demo CX5. More refined with better built quality and better resale value. And it's Japanese bulletproof.

From how you're explaining the driving.. seems like the engine could do with more torque... that's the thing with low powered automatic cars with mny gears .. the gearbox gets confused

The engine is identical to the polo tsi. That’s what she means. But in terms of looks, yes, it leans more on the Tiguan.

When I bought it last year I thought I was getting a better VW than the Polo TSI. I’m very disappointed. Especially about the interior quality. I guess Reba didn’t spend enough time in it to observe the interior. But it is very poorly built. Totally plastic and extremely noisy. The rattling sound from the plastic doors when you play music makes everything worse.
I never experienced that when I had the Polo TSI. I regret a thousand times for letting the Polo go. Believe or not, the Polo’s build quality is way superior to the T-Cross.
I’m sorry you feel that way. Think this interior is solid, not withstanding the plastics.
I’m used to VW build quality.
