I had colon cancer at a very young age, I was twelve when I had my surgery now I'm 21 I've been living a normal life ever since thank God for our amazing Doctor's and nurses😍 I'm so bless to have them in my life
I'm 12 and have some symptoms of colon cancer, do you know what symptoms you might've had?
Im 15 and I have thin poop and a couple weeks ago I had white clearish things around my stool can you tell me anything about that? do I have colon cancer or irritable bowel syndrome
How did u knw u have colon cancer?! I feel bloated after every meal, have constipation and gas all the time. Sometimes there is severe diarrhoea. I feel pain while pooping. Please please tell me!

The day after I was diagnosed, a friend who had been diagnosed several months prior to mine told me it's far better to find out you have colon cancer than not to find out. Seventeen years later we're both still around. My first colonoscopy saved my life. I was so fortunate as I had ignored symptoms for at least two years. It took a bout of diarrhea and a toilet full of blood to get my attention.
is there any kind of alternative to colonoscopy ? like the magnetic imagery ?
@@hibaimene9684 I heard that there's a virtual colonoscopy. But in case if they find any polyps they will have to the actual colonoscopy to fan it out
What happened?
Hello is it the best thing to do to get chemotherapy?
Colonoscopy simplified.....
Light food with no red meats etc for four days before colonoscopy.
Second last day, very light meals, no vegetables etc.
Last day, no food, only fluids and drink two litres of "cleansing fluid" in the afternoon.
Drink one litre every 15 minutes and stay close to, or on the toilet. (Just sit there with your tablet)
It's called cleansing fluid for a reason as it swiftly clears your bowel within five or ten minutes.
It's usually all over in half an hour.
Day of colonoscopy, no food only water.
Sedation leaves you woozy and requires someone to get you home and check on you for 24 hours.
Gas and air (as in pregnancy) let's you attend alone.
Gas and air allows you breathe deeply when it gets uncomfortable but there's no real pain.
Camera on a thin tube is inserted allowing doctor to see inside intestine.
It has to make three right angle turns to navigate total length and it's these turns which are uncomfortable NOT painful
Bonus of gas and air is you can watch it on TV as it goes about sometimes e snipping of a polyp (No pain!)
Other bonus is after 60 minutes and a cup of tea, you are free to go on your own.
Any polyps spotted will be removed and sent off to be checked.
The whole procedure with gas and air is easier than a dental visit!
Don't be embarrassed, they really have seen it all before.
JUST GET IT DONE, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!
My partner was misdiagnosed when he went with his symptoms. Eventually after much pushing a more indepth exam showed colon cancer. A stoma ensued & almost 3 years of complications & back & forth about results...one day good news, one day bad...it was a rollercoaster. Sadly he lost his battle last year he played high impact sport, never drank & never smoked. Please don't ignore the signs
So sorry for your loss.

Getting doctors to believe you is half the battle.
I started having some concerning symptoms in December and one of the first things I found on Internet was this video, I got awareness and did everything in my power to find out what was going on, the first doctor I went told me I was to young for a colonoscopy I'm 30 years old, but I didn't want to wait until it was to late so I looked for a second opinion and finally got a colonoscopy. I had a large pre- cancerous polyp in my colon. Thank got they got it out on time. I'm really grateful for this video.
What was the size of your polyp ?
What were your symptoms?

Please turn to Jesus He loves you very much, He is the God of miracles, i was ill for a long time, but the doctors couldn't really help me, i don't blame them there was only so much that they could of done for me, Then Jesus gave me a miracle and healed me, There is Hope in Jesus, God has done amazing things in my life and in the life's of people i know and love, He can do the same for you and yours, When you need Him call on Him, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, He is the God of comfort and will be there for you when you call on Him, God saved someone i love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, Its as simple as asking Jesus into your heart and life to be your personal Lord and Saviour, Confess your sins to Jesus and Jesus will forgive you, And if you truly seek Him Jesus will answer you, i know this because He answered me when i called out to Him, take care

Great video...important message....DONT ignore symptoms....God bless you.
Thankyou so much for sharing your story I’m so sorry for your loss of your mom. U are such a strong woman.
I can't understand why the doctors suggest everyone having a colonoscopy when they turn 50. Why not 30? I know 5 people personally that have colon cancer and they are all under 40. God bless you Alyson. I hope you are doing well now.
Miss Lucy I think the age is going to have to be lowered bc there are so many younger people getting it.
My mom had colon cancer so the doctor told me and my siblings to get checked by 40. Which I believe is too old so we'll surely all get checked before.
I was supposed to start getting checked at 30 because my aunt was diagnosed with colon cancer in her mid 30's and eventually passed from it. Also have a friend that was in their late 20's when they were diagnosed. I'm 36 and finally going in for my first colonoscopy tomorrow afternoon. Sitting in the toilet doing the prep as I'm writing this lol
All a medical law. Most Doctors are pushing for it to be lowered to 30's. That is why my wife's is like it is. Stage 4 within 4 months. Took the little veins to show up for sure on the tumor. We all thought at first it was just an irritation of the colon at first. Primary doctor had 2 other referrals look at it before he made that conclusion. 4 months later in the emergency with side pain is when CT Scan came back with the worse news.
Even young adults in their 20's are getting colon cancer. Colon cancer is on the rise. Colonoscopy should begin in 20's.
Thanks for the info, I’m scheduled to see a doctor about my issues too.
I just did a home fit test for colon cancer due to blood in stool. Everyone should do a stool test annually. I also suggest drinking a tea of warm fresh lemon juice, thyme, garlic and optional turmeric powder daily. You can sweeten with stevia or honey. This can be used to prevent colon cancer. Eliminate red meat consumption and try beyond meat ground crumple instead. Eat lots of fish or take an omega 3 supplement. Replace sugar foods with fruit and avoid processed foods.
Wouldn’t beyond meat be considered processed
@@joslu80eight5 yeah, but it's plant based. You realize everything is technically processed right?? Lmfao!!
Thank you. I used to drink turmeric, black pepper, and ginger as a tea, I think I'll start back again. Thank you Miss desire independance. What signs did you have if any? I don't have colon cancer, and I want to prevent it, and turmeric is a must have in that battle, as well as garlic but you said thyme, is thyme good for fighting cancer, especially colon cancer?
Fiber rich food in morning , eat lots of veggies too , take IP-6 & inositol 2X a day 4 capsules each in total on Empty stomach 4 hrs away from each food intakes , Chaga capsules , daily Graviola tea & Green tea , krill oil capsules ,
Moringa powder mix with ginger powder , turmeric and black pepper mix , Garlic capsules , absolutely No sugars and No carbohydrates.
What were your results
Brave of you to share.
In 2019 I found out I had Colon cancer ( Stage 1 ), I had 1 foot of my colon taken out. I had no warning signs. I was at the age to get a colon check. But it had already spread to my liver ( Stage 4 ), so I am fighting for my life. I used 8 years of treatments in 2 years. I'm at the end of my treatments (2021). My last hope is a Y90 treatment. I ask people get checked at the age of 45 instead of 50. If I was checked at 45 I could of stopped it in stage 1.
Sorry mate.
Thinking of you and your wise words of 45 not 50, Gary ❤
I am thanking you sir for pushing this urge to checkout these symptoms before it’s regulated time frame. Godbless you and may you overcome this obstacle.
Yes, the age to have a colonoscopy MUST be changed to earlier age.
Thank you for sharing about your dear Mom and thank God you got help. My Mom had cc and it was surgically removed. She survived that and lived many years after. Thanks for ur story. I'm 55 and have battled chronic and severe constipation since my 20's. It's gotten so bad that I'm now laxative dependent. My last colonoscopy found a precancerous polyp. It makes me angry that they just left it there, to possibly kill me. I suffer intense abdominal pain, bloating and gas every day. I know for a fact I will eventually get colon cancer. My GI doc recommends a repeat colonoscopy in 5 yrs. I feel in 5 years it will be too late. I've been a nurse for nearly 30 yrs, and I know what lies ahead...
proud2BaNurse Hi! You can do a home fit test annually for colon cancer. You can also try a low carb high fiber diet. Carbs cause constipation. I have the same issues. Get the book Fit for life.

@@karlhans6678 Who is this?
I was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that spread to my liver. The last 10 years I begged someone to help me. I couldn't count how many times I was in emergency to be sent home with stool softeners. 4 years ago the pain was so bad especially when i had my period. They gave me a hysterectomy. The next day I almost bled to death internally. They opened my body cavity to wash all the blood out and fix the bleed. They still didn't notice my tumors. They said I had so much scare tissue that my uterus was stuck to my bowels. Then two years ago I started bleeding. They gave me a partial scope on my bowels and didn't go up far enough to see my tumor. They said your bleeding from scare tissue just ignore the blood. So here we are today. I went to emergency room in so much pain. Finally they did a cat scan and found it. 10 years too late. So frustrating

I have had all the symptoms of colon cancer for about two years now except weight loss...my doctors think I'm fine with ibs or just constipation but I feel that it could be cancer. The pain I have makes me cry and I am considered too young for colon cancer at 18. I'm glad I watched this cause I'm definitely getting checked out
I also have IBS. I have all symptoms except weight loss and bleeding of any sort. But if u feel it is cancer, go and check it out cuz the body does like to give the heads up. I've taken a medication before that is used for IBS and it helped me so I am not 100% positive if I have a cancer. Maybe it's just my bowels saying I eat horribly lol. I hope ur docs are right tho cuz cancer is horrible...

What medication did help with your IBS Sheree / C H?
So did you get checked? How are you doing now?
Constipation is an uncomfortable condition. If it lasts for weeks, it can be an indication that you have colon cancer. If you find yourself struggling
to make a bowel movement for more than 2 weeks, you should definitely consult a physician.
Even diarrhea for more than 2 weeks my father had weeks of constipation and then go from weeks of diarrhea all bloody stools he had Crohn’s disease so he just thought that but when it became more consistent and lost 30 pounds in 2 months he got a colonoscopy and his cancer was already stage 4. He fought for 3 years unfortunately he passed in 2018
Am 57 and I've never had 'gut' issues. Still, today I performed an 'at home' first generation Pinnacle Labs FIT test. Took all of 5 mins. Result: total negative.
Still, because I'm in my 50's, I'm going to start getting a colonoscopy every year.
PREVENTING cancer is Job #1.
Lifestyle? Daily wheatgrass regimen, resveratrol, bentonite, L-glutamine, *no bovine milk!* - switched to coconut/almond milk, little if any: alcohol, red meat, processed 'foods', junk food, soda, etc. Also: no extra sugar and no 'afternoon or TV snacking' on garbage. Moderate exercise, SPF 30 or higher during the summer.
The semi-daily bentonite & daily wheatgrass are excellent sources of fiber and are detoxifiers.
Another sign to look for in your stools, is something that is fleshy looking, like the color of skin film, its weird to describe it, but its like the color of a jelly fish skin. And than you have this great feeling when you go, and than it kept showing up, my Dr told me I was very lucky, if I would have waited any longer, any one of the 4 polyps removed could have turned cancerous within 6 months.
were you bleeding bright red blood prior to your colonoscopy?
You mean like mucus ?
Can anyone please share what are the likely symptoms or signs of colon cancer ? That would be very helpful. Thanks

I once had rectal bleeding that was literally dripping out of me. Had a colonoscopy. They found I had diverticula that were bleeding. I hate having to go without food prior to the procedure and I did find the procedure itself quite painful. Luckily mine wasn't cancer. My Grandma died from colon cancer. She once threw up fecal matter. I was there when she died. It wasn't pretty. Cancer is a bastard. Only those over 60 get regularly screened in the UK. Why not start early. Like breast cancer is 50+. Should be earlier, especially people like me with strong family history of it. No harm in starting early.
I had my first colonoscopy at 42 and they found pre cancerous polyps, than later on a diverticulitis with blood, another colonoscopy 3 years later, was fine, my last one 2 years ago, found rare polyps in my stomach, non cancer, I’ve had 4 of them now and I am 52, still have issues. My grandfather had colon cancer and survived, my grandmother had stomach/esophageal cancer, for 5 years she complained about stomach pain and they kept telling her, just ulcers, stress, etc, she was a smoker too, by the time they found a dr who scoped her, she was at stage 4 and gone in 4 months.
That is so sad about your grandma. You have my sympathies.
Doctors should be sued
I think they should change colon cancer screening to at least 40.

I had a colonoscopy along with an endoscopy a week or so ago. The colonoscopy was my (routine) first (I'm 53). The endoscopy was done because my gerd symptoms had recently gotten worse despite being on meds for 5 yrs. Also, I had stomach pain and nausea. Anyway, after the procedures the doc told me I had 9 polyps. He removed all but one because it was too large and in an area of diverticulosis I didn't know I had. For whatever reason he said he would take it out in 3 months. The endoscopy showed a stomach infection. I forget what it's called, but it's the one that causes ulcers. And lastly he said he believed I had Barrett's esophagus due to my years of gerd. He said he would know for sure when the biopsy came back. The same with the polyps. A few of them were over an inch and the one still in there is nearly 2". Should I be worried? Idk, maybe. Cancer does run in my family, but I've learned not to be anxious about "what ifs". I'll wait for the pathology to come back and then we'll see.

I, myself, am a psychiatrist, and have friends who are doctors, which I have to say made the whole process much easier and efficient. He scheduled a colonoscopy for me soon after that. Turns out I had stage 3 rectal cancer. I went through chemo, then chemoradiation therapy, and had surgery recently. I now have an ileostomy, which should last a few months. I was lucky enough to respond well to treatment... which has nothing to do with my "combattive attitude". I should have a good prognosis. I recently turned 41. I wish the best to anyone who has to go through anything like this. Best.
very good presentation.
If i dont have blood in the stool but i have abdominal pain and bloating for more than an year and i am also underweight, could it be?
I keep having blood in my stool and have had two transfusions and 2 colonoscopy’s, upper and lower GI and they keep telling me I only have hemorrhoids. How can I find out for sure? I’m still bleeding
Sounds like one of Doctor Fatas' patients ! Doctor Farid Fata one of last doctors who truly cares !
had some bleeding and lost my appetite. absolutely worried out of my mind.
Get checked!
Get checked ASAP. I had surgery last week for stage 1 colon cancer. I had no symptoms at all. You need to get checked. X

Dude same!! Studying in med school feels like a blessing and a curse at the same time!
After 4 years has this improved? I want to study medicine but I am a bit of a hypochondriac and it scares me
Scheduling a colonoscopy tomorrow 😳
Thin pencil stools dark brown stools but no blood, no fatigue, mild constipation. Should I be worried?
Did you find out ? Sometimes the thin stool is because of inflammation
There is another test you can now do that finds large polyps or any cancer in the bowel. It is cheap and quick. It is called the M2-PK test (tests for M2 Pyruvate Kinase a metabolite of their function). It is a common test in Europe, and available in Australia through one lab. Costs about $130AUD and it checks for blood as well. I bought a box from Schebo Biotech in Germany, sent here to Australia, of the HOME M2-PK. Home/Office Test kits for M2-PK cost around $60 per test...but once a year you do it yourself is cheap.
I was supposed to get a colonscopy last week but now I can't because of corona virus shutting elective surgeries down! Don't know when I can next get one now :(
I've had symptoms like this for many years .But without medical insurance there is no getting looked at for me
Colonoscopies are usually no cost screenings. Check with you state government to see what is offered to people without insurance. It's worth getting checked rather than going through what I, and others. have gone through with colon cancer.
He is checked and diagnosed. Now what? He has no insurance
How scary it is to first have a good biopsie to learn later by a specialist that no... can’t rely on normal medicine but need to push through for specialisme
I've got all the symptoms, a lot of pain, liver counts all out, but the public health system in NZ is going to make me wait 4.5 months for a colonoscopy.
slooob23 are you better now?
updates?
I had a colonoscopy 6 years ago and they found no polyps at all. I’m having symptoms- how long does it take for a polyp to grow?
PositiveLastAction 2-10 years
I had one 10 years ago and having symptoms bad.
What symptoms are you having?
My wife is going threw this right now. Stage 4 colon and liver. Setback this week with having to have a colostomy bag from her being sick. Emergency situation. She has to spend the week in the hospital and no chemo til she heals. Not easy mentally especially for her.
Stay strong brother, you and your wife will overcome the storm !!!!

Around two weeks ago I've been experiencing constant diarrhea in a day with no blood, excessive gas and burping. I will meet with my doctor and get a colonoscopy test.
Any updates ?
_Disclaimer: Not a doctor. This situation is unique to my case only. Please see your doctor about any bowel issues!_ The "pencil thin stools" thing happened to me once, and I was terrified because I know that's a symptom of colon cancer. However, I also had started taking antibiotics for an unrelated infection that was supposed to also wipe out my digestive tract, so I made discreet inquiries from the pharmacist who'd filled my prescription. She affirmed, MUCH to my relief, that it was a lesser known side effect of the antibiotics since it also inflamed my bowels. I kicked up the probiotics while discontinuing the antibiotics, and after a few weeks things had gone back to normal...and better, since I'd had IBS since I was a kid. For the first time, probiotics and a controlled diet let me be "normal" and not constantly fear leaving the house!
how long do you have to take the probiotics?
Diagnosed w/ the same last December; but had "signs" for the past 7 years. DIDN'T go to a doc soon enough. I'm 65- won't see 70.
Do not give up yet man,
you got this
Hi all..can someone pleas tel me how colonoscopy was done?? I mean will the dctr gives you ansthesia to abdomon befor starting colonoscopy?
They give you an anaesthetic to knock you out but it is not the same as a general anaesthetic. The procedure takes about 10 minutes.
If my problems are diagnosed as colon cancer, I am going to opt for comfort measures.
My father in law died in agony, five months after being diagnosed with stage four Colon cancer.
Regular Morphine injections just made no effect at the end when he was a shell of a man.
Get tested........... NOW!
@@fabianmckenna8197 That is horrible! Personally I would just take myself out at that point.
