Optimus Prime, do you read me? The Cybertronic Spree are blitzing Autobot City! My heart's really pounding! Don't know how much longer I can keep rocking out!
I thought this was going to be a joke parody, but it’s one of the BEST covers I’ve ever heard. The sheer musicianship is masterful, vocals and instruments were laser-perfect. You just got a new fan!
@@MrsMingo I went and listened to their version again for the first time in decades and while it isn't great I guess it isn't all that awful either. OMG I have the stupidest grin on my face. What an outstanding video!! I LOVED IT. You look like you are having so much fun!! Ballroom Blitz is one of my favorite songs and I lose my shit when you play it live. Thank you for this video, the homages were hysterical!
Yeah, even without being a cosplayer myself, I can tell that a LOT of work went into those. They don't just look great, they survive rowdy performances and don't interfere with the music. Imagine transporting them, getting into and out of them, not breaking them, etc. They are a visual love letter to the source material and to their fellow fans.
I dunno, but seeing Hot Rod and Arcee "SCHWING!" was hilarious. But somehow it got better when Shockwave went the big "SCHWIIIIIING!!!!". Makes me laugh, every time.
Never in my life have I seen a great combination of my favorites: Rockin' Transformers (in all their glory), Wayne's World References and Ballroom Blitz!! It's a dream come true!!
This is a worthy cover of the Sweet. I must admit you have done the second definitive version of this song but the Sweet win because they are as camp as camp can be!
I remember when I first discovered you, I was like "MAN this is fucking badass... what a sweet persona to take for a rock band... But, who ARE these goofballs?!?!?" But I remember quickly discovering that you guys were no joke and that your music was in fact quite fabulous... with one of the greatest parts being the lead vocalist's skill (excellent vibrato... very powerful and never OVERDONE). You guys truly are professionals, despite the "BADASS", yet "generally not quite 'mainstream effect'-style" outfits.
soundwave showing shockwave he's more superior by strangling him in the backseat of the car. lol. unicron still has no joy. oh well. lol. nice job, you guys. this rocked.
So many great deep cut nods to Wayne's World in there! Love it. *is now curious a) how many people know the song BECAUSE of that film b) how many people born beyond the 90s have seen that film, considering how WELL it still applies to the RUclips content creator era*
I've seen Wayne's World too long ago to remember much of the music featured in it, but Ballroom Blitz has stayed in Australian 'classics' radio circulation, so that's how I know it. Surprised and impressed at our favourite bots and cons delving way back into the 70s.
This is one of my guilty pleasure songs. Adding clips from The Transformers: the movie is a real treat for me. I suspect Bohemian Rhapsody is on its way.
After the millennia long civil war between the Decepticons and Autobots finally came to an end, they all had to go find a new carrier. Some chose poorly (poor Starscream) but these ... I think these chose wisely! Most exellent!
You guys look like you should be nothing but gimmick but the quality of these covers... I still can't believe you did immigrant song without butchery. And it's the first time I could actually hear the lyrics. Plant was at his least decipherable on that song, though I love it. Pretty amazing job all around.
Now that was excellent I've heard alive ballroom blitz's but you guys have Passion for that song keep on showing that Passion for everything you guys will become legendary if you're not already.
Gordon Street? Ah, yes, Gordon Street. I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think her and the promise that I made which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street. That's uh, five blocks up, two over.

I was stoked they put those in too. Glad someone else noticed them as well :)
For real... and they can really wail, too!
Probably did it because of Wayne's World hitting 30 years old. Damn, I feel old as hell, lol.

Hello hello earth
We're all going to look like burnt out toaster ovens.
Best cover of this song ever!! I love how well the riff from master of puppets fits this!!!
Ah yes, Cybertronic Spree reminding everyone a truth we learnt in 1986 - that any song can be improved with addition of Transformers.
You mean a truth we learn in 1974. The band Sweet released this in 1974 and became a hit. Tia Carrere did it in Wayne's World in 1992.
@@craigshinneman2285 ,you forgot the Krokus cover in 1984 which totally kicked ass too.
Improved? Hardly. Fun cover but there’s absolutely no passion in the vocals here, unlike the original
Looks like a really fun song to play
Best still the original, good cover though.
Thank you for making me feel 1986 all over again!

They definitely don't take themselves seriously, but they do take the music seriously. They are legit good.
Hey, its hard to do a bad cover of this great song! Unless you're Krokus...

I think they're great because of their gimmick. As well as their sound.
