Sample size of 1 here, but mine was extremely unreliable. I cannot suggest this to anyone who is considering it for self defense. As a range toy, it was great, aside from damaging ammo while failing to feed. Ammo with stiffer shells seemed to work fine though. Just be sure to do plenty of vetting before you trust it.
@donr4582 mine actually shot perfectly reliable for the first 50-75 rounds or so. I was feeling pretty excited, and then it started having issues. I'm no gunsmith, so I wasn't sure what to do to fix it. I cleaned it up and looked for anything obvious, but it still ran poorly from there.
@fodderforfreedom4020 almost all of what I shot was buckshot and slugs. It was most reliable with the Remington Tac-8, which I think is kinda medium power if I recall. Don't have the gun anymore, though.
The price sounds too good to be true. But I had too many problems with my Turkish Benelli m4 clone. I will stick to proven name brand shotguns like my Beretta A300 Patrol.
i bought the JTS ak12-t1 and i have never had an issue with the weapon cycling ammo. things people run into most commonly is not cycling ammo and jams. These issues can totaly be avoided with a few considerations. - Per the manufacture it has a 200 round break in period and your supposed to use high brass rounds. If you feed it junk it will run like junk. - The gas block system is something you have to play with but generally the 3rd setting will run everything except low brass bird shot - I shot mine right out of the box before cleaning and it ran fine (not to say some are more dirty than others straight out of the box) BUT its not to hard to disasemble the key components of the gun if needed. issues i did run into with the gun - the pad on the stock fell off because the screws were loose and i was running it pretty hard even doing some hip fire - parts are hard to find - if you do find parts then youll have to modify the gun in some way, im not to afraid to do it i would just rather not if any one has links to websites i could find a picatinny rail on a dust cover for this gun id (at a reasonable price) id appreciate it. overall im in love with this gun
I picked one up, cleaned it thoroughly and lightly oiled it before taking it out...Wow was I impressed! I had jamou-o-matic Saiga-12, I finally dumped it years ago...This JTS shotty is everything the Saiga promised to be. I added a DLG folding stock and love it. Grabbed mine for 229.00 at Palmetto.
Clean it first [gas block especially], then lube it up... use 1350 fps and up for reliability. I used some cheap Winchester 1250 fps #7's that works fine in my pump, but not in this JTS. No a lick of issues with the higher fps.
I already posted here under another comment but some may not see it. If you are new to this gun, clean it well, especially the gas system and port. Learn the gas settings for the ammo used. I reccomend starting with slugs and work your way down to weaker loads instead of the other way around.
I hate how far the back of the receiver sticks out past the pistol grip. That makes it look odd and ugly in my opinion. Vepr and Saiga shotgun receivers don’t stick out that far.
Got the basic version and love it. It doesnt like running shells with the deepset plastic tops the walls will crush everynow and then but all the standard crimped rounds have run without flaw. adjustable gas system is awesome and runs easy to find chokes. Mines zero was so far off it ran out of adjustment on the irons to get it zeroed so it cant run without a red dot but for sure one of the funnest guns i own for mag dumping into trash.
It's tempting to give it a shot, but I feel if I'm going to invest in a semi auto shotgun, quality is key for reliability and durability, in which I'd consider a Beretta 1301 or their A300 or whatever their similar model is to the 1301. One of the reasons why I prefer pump action shotguns, very reliable and durable, especially the Mossbergs and the old 870's.

Last weekend I shot 300 rounds of the cheap value pack stuff and some fiocchi buckshot, no issues at all and the recoil wasn't bad either. I can say the plastic barrel clamp sucks, already have an aluminum GG&G on the way.
I got one, needs really hot rounds to cycle reliably, even when on highest gas setting. 1250 fps buck did not cycle reliably. 1700 fps slugs ran great.
I just bought a Advanced Armament Co Brakeout 2.0 SG12 Shotgun Muzzle Brake for $50 from Black Ankle Munitions. Reduces recoil and flash. It is Remington threaded. It is normally $75 plus shipping. Had to add a AR end plate to qualify for free shipping. It works with slugs to. Can’t wait for my JTS to show up from PSA.
Getting one today! ALWAYS clean and inspect your toys before shooting them! I'm even going to deburr the insides and might polish the gas system if it needs it. All auto shotguns have a 'break in' period especially the inexpensive ones! God bless and stay safe! ❤❤❤❤
@@collinmanning8334 not an issue per se, but there was a break in period where #7 birdshot wasn’t allowing the firearm to cycle… had to use a higher pressured birdshot load. Regular Walmart 1,250 fps wouldn’t cycle it.. but once I cycled a couple hundred 00 buck and slugs through it, I had no problems… even with the lower pressured ammunition.
@@drewthomasllc7429if it does not cycle certain ammo you can adjust the gas block. Mine shoots anything I run through it. I loaded 4 different kind of shells into the same mag and mag dumped all 10 shells and it cycles them fine

I missed a used Saiga at my local pawn store. By a day. $150 Friend told me about it. Thought about it went the next morning. It was gone. Although it was in 410 gauge. But still. 😢
First gen 2yrs and a couple thousand rounds and I'd recommend buying, had a few problems early when i was breaking it in and learning what ammo it likes, and the adjustable gas settings, but nowadays its smooth and FAST

I've run about 125 rounds thru this gun. After about 100, I noticed with no round in the chamber and the slide fully closed, the piston in the gas block moves back and forth when you rotate the gun front to rear. Is this normal? I thought maybe something was wrong with it took it apart. No visible issues in the gas block. Still piston was loose after cleaning. My friend who has one with 50 rounds, same thing. Ideas?

I edited comment because I was still learning more about this weapon system after I’d seen that some people complained about having problems running some weaker low brass. I’ve now also seen that some people had to take down and clean the gun, especially the gas system, and then they had fewer or no problems running the weaker ammo.
I've got the original one, and only ever shot the cheap walmart birdshot loads through mine. I cleaned the gun and set the gas on setting 3. I had at least one failure on every mag for the first 50 rounds, after that the failures quickly disappeared. Definitely worth the money!
Well done, man!! I must have gotten the one before yours 1 hour ago or so (for my daughter - I already have one!). You wont regret it!! Just make sure to clean off ALL that nasty, dried up stock-grease on all the internals before shooting it! That is an issue for many that don't know better... Then oil all parts from scratch all over. Only then, the gun will start working flawless for you. This thing is a beautiful monster and a keeper!! Cheers!

Which one's worse, the Chinese made or the Turkish made? From every one of TFBTV's shotgun burn down tests I've seen, all the Turkish guns take a shit before 500 rounds. One of the reasons why I never went to a semi auto, pump actions have no preference and just work and between a Mossberg or an old Remington 870, these are work horses of pump shotguns and just so damn reliable while also being very durable 🤷.

If you're needing something for hunting, any shotgun would be ok, but for self defense, anything I mentioned would work as well. Did you clean it first? I wouldn't write it off till you give it a good break in. I have the original and it took about 50 rounds before I got through a mag without a failure, now it runs 100%, oh, and I've never put anything but the cheap walmart 1200fps bird shot through it. I just got the T-1 and cleaned it tonight, and expect the same results.
Yes I did. I clean the hell out it. I wanted it to work so bad. Shot it today and it runs great with 1300 fps ammo just not anything under. I’ve shot around 200 rounds through it. Tried the 00 1250 fps on 3rd setting and it’s still not enough.

@@SquallWulfhart Auto-loaders don't typically like low recoil shells. Try running some buckshot through it.

I have around 400 shells through mine and have not cleaned it yet and it cycles fine still

I put the Phoenix technology grip on mines, which makes it easier on the eyes due to the elongated receiver
It does stick out a bit but that doesn't bother me. I like the fact that you can insert a loaded mag with the bolt closed.

Ive had mine for awhile. Gew hiccups with seller/ballot rds other than that it has ran flawless. Bird,buckshot,target loads all run

I have heard that the ones with the rails like that are not as reliable maybe that's why they are on sale
