HP Smart has the absolute best scanning option I’ve ever seen. It makes everything appear flat, plus automatically removes all background and only scans the actual document. You then have the option to send or save to any location. I originally got the app because it was recommended for my printer, but I honestly never use it for that - and was so pleasantly surprised to find the scanning option. It’s so much better than manual scanning (on the printer) or any of the other apps I’ve tried. It’s also completely free!

My traveling days are over ( I'm 75 w/ mobility issues) but I traveled all over the world when I was younger & lived in 7 different countries ( not w/ military) for 28 years...I lived in, & my oldest son was born in Ibiza...so I can tell you you that Barcelona is WONDERFUL...just make sure you as much of Antonio Gaudi's architecture..you will never, ever see anything g like it anywhere!! There are some countries in which Chase does not allow transactions and you wouldn't want your ATM cash withdrawal or purchases to be denied. Also, if you use a VPN, make sure it's set to the same country when you do financial transactions online or Chase may freeze your account because they think it's fraud for online transactions that look like they come from multiple countries in a short period of time.

We went to England in May after not traveling abroad since Covid and I definitely overpacked and felt like a travel rookie all over again thinking I needed to bring as much as I could fit in my suitcase! # 1 rule of travel - you have to be able to pick up your suitcase easily yourself so if it is super heavy it makes it so much more difficult and almost always you do not need as much as you think you do!!!

I know you are already in Italy now when I am watching this but I love traveling, organizing ect so satisfying. I’ve been living abroad for 5 years now and I came with 3 huge check suitcases carry on roller bag and a backpack and it was way too much. We really can do with a lot less or get it when you get there instead of thinking you need to bring everything.
Oh in Barcelona, go for Paella at Xiringuito Escribá. It is real good. In order to get a quick idea of all the areas, the tourist bus (I can't remember the name) is quite a good option. Plan ahead for Parc Güell, and tickets for La Sagrada Familia. Definitely go to Mercado de la Boquería and eat everything you can. To take some nice pics you can take the cable car from the beach to Montjuic. Neighborhoods to walk around: El Gótico, El Born, Eixample, and of course The Beach, where the nicest part is from Nova Icaria (Metro L4) to St. Sebastia Beach where the W hotel is. Food: La Pubilla, Bar Mut, Quimet & Quimet, El Nacional, Xuculent, Cova Fumada, La bodegueta de Rambla Catalunya, and as I mentioned before Xiringuito Escribá. The city is quite safe, but do watch for pickpockets.

Italy is lovely! I’ve been to Rome 3 times and it’s literally walking through history. There is always an excavation happening somewhere. Also collapsible water bottles are always on my list because the aqueducts are safe to drink from! So excited you get to travel abroad again! I got pulled home from my study abroad experience Spring 2020 and I’ve been wanting to travel abroad since travel has opened up more again. Videos like this always make me even more excited to travel again!

I can relate to your electronics mishaps. My husband experiences the same issues. He walks to a counter, the photocopier jams, computer freezes, fax machine powers off…it’s endless. We constantly hear the “that’s weird, I never seen that before”. It happens so often to him, we expect it now.

Omg I screamed when you said you're coming to Barcelona! I've been living in Spain for 3 going on 4 years now, previously in a small town but just recently moved to Barcelona and it's such a magical city 💖 it is definitely very international compared to the rest of Spain and you will easily hear maybe 5 different languages being spoken around you in any moment haha. I really love that about it though. I hope you enjoy all your travels!

To be honest I don't think I have all the best recommendations yet at this point since I'm still so new to the city and just discovering things :) I can name a couple streets though that I have liked to go for food! I love "La Rambla del Poblenou" (not the same as the Rambla that's the main tourist one) but it's a street full of restaurants and super beautiful/beach vibes as it goes directly to the beach. Another good food street is called "Carrer de Blai" which is a street with many different places you can hop from place to place and get something called "pinchos" which are little bites of food basically of different things for like 1-2 euros each. It's fun because each place can have different ones and you can just go from one bar to the next and try lots of things! I'm a fan of it haha

To get to Spain maybe you do not need a PCR if you arrive from Italy, because now if you enter to Spain from one of Schengen Countries you do not need anything than maybe the SPAIN QR ENTRY (Im not sure), but check it before because things change a lot. If you need info of Barcelona, just ask me, I know lots of beautifull places, best views, ...and, a tip for a beauty junkie, do not have to miss PRIMOR shops! Have a nice trip and enjoy, I travel a lot but I ve never been in Jordan.:)

While traveling internationally you should take advantage of the fact that you can get prescription retinal in the pharmacy’s without a prescription and it’s cheaper then cosmetic retinal here in the US

Yeah, I think the pistachios are basically scentless, but that is exactly why I made myself wait to eat my plant based jerky on my layover rather than in the plane 🤣 seriously it’s good protein for me that keeps well over travel but Beyond went way too hard on making it smell savory 🤦🏼♀️ unnecessary 😂
"bleaching it yourself is a different story" cracked me up - I've been bleaching my own hair for the last 15 years and my hair is so soft and healthy. it's the same as any chemical process - if you don't understand it, it's likely to go wrong. there's for sure a learning curve, but anyone wanting to bleach their own hair; do your research, read articles, watch videos, and just go for it. worst case scenario, you go get a cute short haircut afterwards.

I agree on the box hair dye. The factor is of your darkening your hair then it's good. No problem, but if you're going lighter or bleaching then I would invest in a salon color.
Italy is amazing. I live in between Verona and Venice since 2011. It is so hot 🥵 in summer but the people here are very nice, happy and loud 😂. If you are planning to go from Rome down in south be careful ❤️

Barcelona was so much fun. I would go back in hot minute if I was able to right now. Make sure you visit San Gimignano in Italy. Such a hidden gem!

Oh god I loved this! I got more excited as it went on as if I was going away lol. So glad you got meds ok and first class yes! Hope the flight was ok and you have an amazing time. Omg I screamed when you said you're coming to Barcelona! I've been living in Spain for 3 going on 4 years now, previously in a small town but just recently moved to Barcelona and it's such a magical city 💖 it is definitely very international compared to the rest of Spain and you will easily hear maybe 5 different languages being spoken around you in any moment haha. I really love that about it though. I hope you enjoy all your travels!
I'd love to hear if you have any particular recommendations for Barcelona! I'm there in a couple of weeks and would love suggestions beyond Sagrada familia, parc guell etc (obviously I will do the touristy stuff!)

@@natalierowe5677 Hi! I'm sorry for the late reply. To be honest I don't think I have all the best recommendations yet at this point since I'm still so new to the city and just discovering things :) I can name a couple streets though that I have liked to go for food! I love "La Rambla del Poblenou" (not the same as the Rambla that's the main tourist one) but it's a street full of restaurants and super beautiful/beach vibes as it goes directly to the beach. Another good food street is called "Carrer de Blai" which is a street with many different places you can hop from place to place and get something called "pinchos" which are little bites of food basically of different things for like 1-2 euros each. It's fun because each place can have different ones and you can just go from one bar to the next and try lots of things! I'm a fan of it haha

Hi Taylor. Glad to know that you come to Barcelona, my city!! I have been following you for years! To get to Spain maybe you do not need a PCR if you arrive from Italy, because now if you enter to Spain from one of Schengen Countries you do not need anything than maybe the SPAIN QR ENTRY (Im not sure), but check it before because things change a lot.
If you need info of Barcelona, just ask me, I know lots of beautifull places, best views, ...and, a tip for a beauty junkie, do not have to miss PRIMOR shops!

Taylor - not sure when u return to Chicago, but I definitely recommend checking out one of Chicago’s many street fests! Basically starting June, there are one or more street fests happening every weekend during the summer. Some have a longer running history than others and are more special, based on the hosting neighborhood! Hope u check it out and enjoy!!
While traveling internationally you should take advantage of the fact that you can get prescription retinal in the pharmacy’s without a prescription and it’s cheaper then cosmetic retinal here in the US

Yeah, I think the pistachios are basically scentless, but that is exactly why I made myself wait to eat my plant based jerky on my layover rather than in the plane 🤣 seriously it’s good protein for me that keeps well over travel but Beyond went way too hard on making it smell savory 🤦🏼♀️ unnecessary 😂

"bleaching it yourself is a different story" cracked me up - I've been bleaching my own hair for the last 15 years and my hair is so soft and healthy. it's the same as any chemical process - if you don't understand it, it's likely to go wrong. there's for sure a learning curve, but anyone wanting to bleach their own hair; do your research, read articles, watch videos, and just go for it. worst case scenario, you go get a cute short haircut afterwards.

Box dye won't necessarily ruin your hair but it will be very difficult to remove. (Which may be why you had such a struggle when you tried to go silver). That's usually the biggest concern to hairstylists.

I agree on the box hair dye. The factor is of your darkening your hair then it's good. No problem, but if you're going lighter or bleaching then I would invest in a salon color.
Italy is amazing. I live in between Verona and Venice since 2011. It is so hot 🥵 in summer but the people here are very nice, happy and loud 😂. If you are planning to go from Rome down in south be careful ❤️
