I wish the Fusion Sport could get some of the suspension goodies/development. The Steeda springs are stiff enough and the factory struts aren't up to the task for autocross.

Great job, fellas. Every time I think I have a shot at beating you, you boys throw down a faster time and crush my dreams. Lol

Don't pick on Jamie, he is the real "Rock Star" of the Steeda videos, no extra hype there!

How’s the ride quality with that suspension setup? Is that dailyable with autocross/track work on the weekends? Or is it strictly for the track?

For the most part, yes. It is a little stiff in comparison to a stock EcoBoost or standard GT, but still usable. It provides a good balance between track/autocross but is still able to handle normal driving. Depending on your exact needs, the spring rates can be reduced to aid in overall comfort. -Jamie

I'd like to see a good compare vs your q350 and the HiPo. I've been looking for one for ages it seems. Super obscure. And I had wanted a car out of the box. But the q350 gives me hope that a good base chassis to start and the rest comes with it. You are using an aluminum housing diff yes? 4.09 is steep! I had 3.55s in my v6 and had wanted more but with the small tire I didn't think it was needed

We haven't gotten our hands on an HPP at the track quite yet. The 4.09 gear in this car is our way of keeping the car as competitive as possible given the power difference compared to a GT or Camaro SS 1LE. The 2nd gear ratio only allows for around 55 mph, this means we need to use third gear to get any real speed from the car. 3.73 gears helped, however, they did not give us the low speed (20-25 mph) in tight corners without a need to down shift, the 4.09 gears eliminated this need. The trade off is a lower top speed in third gear. This is an autocross-only gear selection. If you're running open track, I would use either a 3.31 or 3.55 gear. And yes, we are using an aluminum housing. Hope this helps! -Jamie

@@steedaautosports Ill be keen on that HPP car. i really wanted one... but i understand its trickery for the gear swap but in CAM C you have to do what you can to be competative. And hell yeah aluminum bits! I think depending which "big boy track" id stick with 3.73 unless I really need 4th and 5th gear legs ( maybe road atlanta) however the daily spurts would enjoy the tighter gears. I wonder if we could help the autox system by running a smaller tire with the 3.73s they allow diameter changes within the widths. thats a trick we used in cars that dont have a huge OE gear selection like subarus.
