Just got to see them on Tuesday night. Amy Lee truly is an amazing performer. I am forever boosting the vocal audio channel so that I can hear her over the crazy loud guitars.
I gotta say her voice is even better with age. She seemed to have a lot of control on the high notes. This was amazing !!
It’s actually crazy how much more confidence and experience she has with her voice. And a different style too. Go back and listen to Origin or even some of Fallen and she had a much more subdued tone then - still beautiful but she didn’t put nearly as much power behind it as she does now.
She has had some great vocal coaching for sure. It's really evident in the way she can bring in operatic tones and sustain power behind her voice through her lower register and into the higher. A lot of it comes down to experience too. I do worry about how she will be able to sustain that with such a catalogue of very powerful and vocally demanding songs night after night when they go on tour...but just like with any muscle it can be trained and also needs its periods of rest. So she probably would have to have times of complete vocal rest to keep her sustained while on tour. She's a powerhouse through and through.

Overall, she used to sing on a higher register and you could see her lower the key of some songs in live performances. So, I guess she hasn't improved that much.

Couldn’t agree more. The studio mix sounds over-edited and flat. Here the guitars are heavy but they have depth. They literally could have just recorded this performance and put it on the album.
Here she’s also using her head voice for the high notes which make them sound a lot better.

Oh my goodness! Her voice is something unreal!
It really is, I heard her rehearsing at the Rave in Wisconsin and I have to say.. I could her her so clearly and hauntingly singing as she rehearsed there while waiting in line for the concert. It gives me chills thinking about it. Never heard of a vocalist who could do that... not in that way. Her voice is feminine and gentle while becoming a powerful haunting banshee within such a short period of time. The way she sings is incredibly unique.
Love her outfit, as always, and of course her voice. Most beautiful voice and woman in the world💖💖💖💖

Oh....oh my God...I so beyond impressed, shocked, stunned, and shivering. I saw the band in 2011 and they were good, but this is better than I've ever seen them. And the new guitarist Jen coming in hot with solid backing vocals and great work. Jesus, Evanescence is primed for today's market in a way they haven't been in a long time. This is amazing. Proud to wear a tattoo of their insignia.

They use in-ears, and synchronized with software like Ableton Live or other.
All shows are made this way since the 2000 anyway. It's needed to have Light shows synced to the music via DMX, and for a better whole sound experience.

Her fellow musicians are great, especially the drummer. Evanescence is still there, at least some. They are still good.
Dude the same lineup has been with her since 2006/2007 since their second album tour, it's fair to say THIS is the real Evanescence as a band, prior to them the members everybody knew were hired members in order to go touring Fallen, none of them wrote a thing for the band bc they joined late 2002 after their debut album was already written, recorded and being mastered. The only original lineup is Amy Lee and Ben Moody, and that's it bc they made songs from 95 to 2000 as a duo, then for 2 years David Hodges joined but he mainly did keyboard, programming and backing vocals, Amy and Ben wrote almost by themselves from 95 to 2003, after Ben left, Amy was left with hired members who were there for a paycheck and to go on tour. Ev is the same since 2007, except for Terry Balsamo whom couldn't continue touring due to health related issues with a stroke he had in the past. Evanescence it's been a band for 15 years now and not a duo as it was in the first 2 records credits.
